For our initial appointment Dr. Abreu found something of concern from our baby. She did lab testing and emailed us that night to follow-up with good news. That hospitality and devotion is something you don't get at the doctor's office. Normally they will get back to you in a few days or forget. Dr. Abreu explains things to us in detail, she patiently listens to our concerns and questions, she makes you feel like family. Dr. Abreu is supportive of our dynamic when caring for our baby but offers her recommendations. She never rushes us during our appointments and is willing to look at photos we've taken of our baby for concerns or listen to any behavioral activity we weren't sure of. If you are in search of a pediatrician I 100% believe you will love Dr. Abreu. The office has always taken us on time for our appointment. Easy to schedule appointments in the office. Very friendly staff. They normally are busy so if you call you may be on hold for a bit. Valet is $4 in a covered garage next to Bocas Grill and Roads Pediatrician.

I brought my baby in for what I felt was an urgent medical concern and I found PA Lourdes Lopez to be rude, dismissive and unprofessional. She did not perform what I felt was a thorough examination of my daughter, and her manner toward us was lacking in compassion and respect. Because I was not confident in the care my daughter was receiving, I left and took her directly to the emergency room. There, the hospital staff properly evaluated her condition, treated her and resolved the issue. While I am grateful for Dr. Alvarez and the care he provides, this experience with the PA was extremely disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the quality of patient care and communication in the future.

Needless to say how stressful and frustrating it all can get. It's not surprising they can't keep any staff members for a decent period of time either. The doctor will only see your child for the first time or two then you'll be switched around between nurse-practitioners. You can't even request appointment with the doctor, she won't be available but she will be in the office taking new patients. If your child is in perfect health and doesn't need to be seen by the doctor this might be the right place for you but if your child gets sick and catches viruses like any other child - you won't get a proper care here.

I paid $6,000 for maternity care and only attended three appointments before deciding to transfer to another provider. After leaving, I requested a refund minus the cost of the care I actually received, which I felt was a reasonable request. Initially, I was offered only a $1,000 refund, which I did not feel reflected the limited services that were provided. After nearly two years of back-and-forth communication trying to resolve the situation, Galina eventually agreed to refund $3,000. However, despite that agreement, the refund was never actually provided. Over the course of this process I repeatedly followed up politely by email asking for updates or a timeline, but the situation was never resolved. Meanwhile, I had to seek care elsewhere and even pay out of pocket for emergency care through another provider. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. I paid $6,000 and after months of trying to resolve things respectfully, I was left without the agreed refund and with very little care provided.
