So, we quickly headed out and looked for something else. We stumbled into M&s and, even though it was later in the day, they still had a variety of options to choose from. We grabbed a few sandwiches, snacks, and drinks and headed out. Overall, this definitely wasn't the best meal we had in London, but it was one of the most convenient and it was tasty for the price. It gave us just enough energy to keep going and did at least a result in us wandering through for additional snacks at least one more time during our visit. As foreigners in this location, it did take us a little bit to acclimate to the process of selecting our food and paying but overall it was very easy and we were on our way quickly. I wish we had more options like this in the US!

The store is very small, about the size of a London Drug's in Canada or a Walgreen's in the US. There is not a lot of variety of products as compared to North American stores where you may typically find 3-6 brand names of a particular product or product line. The prices, accounting for currency conversion, are on par with those at a 7-Eleven or other convenience store. The store hours are from 0700 to 2300, though 4 different times, I was able to enter after 2300 and purchase items. The staff was friendly on each visit. The location is perfect as it is 1 block from London Underground's Bayswater Station, 3 blocks from the Queensway Station,and 2 blocks from the Hilton and Hyde Park Inn & Suites which is great for tourists. I do like this area and will be visiting the store again on my next trip. I recommend this for those whom are new to the area to get an idea about prices and such.

The prices of Co-Op branded products are reasonable, branded products are slightly high, but you pay for " convenience" The product range was okay, but I couldn't get the items I came in for, I do prefer Sainsbury's or Marks and Spencer nearby in that regard. The staff were friendly enough, the checkout area was designed to be able to scan, pay and go pretty quickly, although a mobile payment app similar to Marks and Spencer would make it much better. 3*

Has a good selection of food though, I love the…read moresnack section which has a Costa Coffee machine, Krispy Kreme and various hot and cold food. Very useful when on lunch breaks. The pharmacist is very good, she has provided me and my family some very good advice. There is a electrical and clothing sections also have a good range of products and has saved me on a few occasions (as this is a 24 hour store) when I have had to quickly get something as it had broken or I had to get something to wear and everywhere else has closed. The click and collect team can be a little grumpy at times when collecting groceries that have been ordered. The store is clean and tidy and often has some good bargains. It also has free wifi :) In the evenings you will find lots of people collecting at the back of the store near the meat counter, this is because at the end of the day you can get some really good quality meat for pennies. However be careful there are often times where people get hurt and ambulances have been called before as people go crazy fighting over the food, it can be quite funny to watch at times.

It's not huge but has a decent selection of products and there are certain things I like more than other supermarkets in the area. First, there is a huge cheese selection - much bigger than even the large grocers in the area. They also have quite a bit of high-end smoked meats. They have very nice looking prepared food, much better than your average Sainsbury's meal deal (although more expensive). Their pastries look beautiful but again are very expensive. They have small sections to cater to dietary restrictions like vegan and gluten free. The store feels very nice and upscale and clean overall. While not as cheap as the other local options and without the variety of the larger stores, it's a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

Luckily I didn't have any cash on me otherwise it would have been all gone for sure. It's like a posh neighborhood health food store (Americans, think Adronico's and kind of whole foods but with a little bit of Safeway select discount items thrown on some center isle displays. There's lots of yummy looking premade foods and a nice looking seafood section and some olives in pots thrown in there for good measure. They definitely seem to cater to the lunch crowd in here. Or at least to the poor susceptible fools who shop on an empty stomach. You have to wind through a maze of prepackaged yummy treats before you get to the registers. Naughty Budgens! Evil Budgens. That's the only part I don't like.

Whinge now over this is a great little store with a little of everything you could want, with an added touch of decadence you certainly wouldn't find in a Costcutter. Also has a nightmarish entrance/exit system where doors are one way only, so to exit you have to squeeze past the tills - fine if you're buying something but slow if you aren't and the way is blocked by a queue/buggies/ditherers.
