This is a nice way to reduce in-person estimates and scheduling. They then provide a live walkthrough of the mapping and estimation through the same video chat. Once complete, they send the estimate along with the overhead screenshot view. Dayne was extremely helpful and professional throughout the call. He discussed and clearly explained the various items and insights on the work involved. All my questions were answered and their pricing seems good. If you're looking for a completely online experience, are comfortable navigating permits, locating property pins, interpreting HOA requirements, and managing every detail of a fence installation yourself, then Ergeon may work for you. If you're expecting guidance from an experienced fencing company, this is not that experience. Ergeon is not a local company, and throughout this process there was very little human interaction. Everything falls on the customer. Be prepared to read every line of the contract and independently verify every specification because Ergeon provides little guidance or oversight. They appear to have structured their contract carefully to place responsibility on the customer. My 90-year-old father, who has some cognitive impairment, purchased a fence from Ergeon for his home in a retirement community with a strict HOA. Ergeon knew the property was governed by an HOA, yet there was no meaningful effort to verify that the fence specifications complied with the HOA requirements before installation. The result was a costly mistake that could have been avoided with even basic verification. It's difficult not to feel that this process is designed for customers who already understand the complexities of home improvement projects. For someone like my father, simply looking online for a company to install a fence, the process appeared straightforward, but in reality there were no safeguards to help prevent an expensive error. Customer service was equally frustrating. Responses often took several days, and when I stepped in and contacted Ergeon after the problem became apparent, the repeated response was simply that my father had signed the contract. I got a quote from Ergeon to replace parts of my fence and add a gate. Ultimately, I decided to hire a handyman to repair rather than building new. That being said, I was very impressed with Ergeon's approach. We did a video call so that they could see the fence, they pulled up satellite images of my house, and the quote they sent was detailed. It broke down the cost of each part of the job and included a diagram of what the finished product would be like. It was impressive and professional. Lhacya, the rep, gave me the option of a video call to quote (that would be immediate or scheduled to my needs) or a visit that could be scheduled a few days later. I opted for the video call and she was able to do that immediately. Well have to downgrade my review to a 1 star. The sales lady was amazing, ever since we signed the paperwork it went down hill. The person they had coke double check the measurements didn't do any measuring only took photos and left after 15 minutes. We are going over a month now with NO installation date. Emails to company for an update on this produced no response.... Only email we have is due to recent storms we are busy. We signed the contract PRIOR to the recent storms. read more
