The quote process was fast and efficient, and I was impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail. The price was also reasonable. HOWEVER when it came to the installation... I found communication slow and suspect. I understand that some things like weather and material availability are beyond anyone's control, but the delays kept happening, and I got different reasons for it. For several weeks, it was "we're waiting on the material from the manufacturer." Then, I was told the order was ready and we set a date. However, when that date came I was told "the installer had a medical emergency" and we rescheduled again. But the next scheduled date i was again told "the materials aren't ready yet." The next scheduled date: "The installer is unavailable." I was surprised to find out that apparently the location in Nashville only had one installer. All the communication during this time was not good. The first person who contacted me as the project manager disappeared and only after messaging her repeatedly for updates, did someone else text me to say the person was no longer with the company and now this new person would be my project manager. Only once did I get communication from her without my having to contact her first asking for an update. Her responses were never on the same day, once or twice they took more than 24 hours to reply. The installer was a pleasant guy but with only one helper. It was supposed to done in one day, but it was only half finished at 5 pm. They said they would be back the next day. The next day, only the installer showed up to finish. I don't know if not having a helper caused him not to do a very good final cleanup, or if he simply didn't think cleaning up the job site was part of his job. Perhaps I should have specifically asked during the quote project, but I assumed they were professionals. Pieces of the white plastic packaging material were left sticking out of the piles of dirt left from digging the trench to install the bottom rail. There was no effort made to break up the huge clods of dirt and smooth it out, even after I asked him if he could please try to even it out. You could even see daylight under parts of the fence. Understand that I did not expect them to lay new sod or even seed, but I did not expect my yard to be left looking so awful. This was very disappointing. I am not physically able to deal with the mess so i am having to hire someone else to do it. During installation, they installed the gate latch on the outside of the fence. I can't imagine that anyone would want a latch that opened from the OUTSIDE. I saw this on while installation was still going on, and the installer corrected it. However, a few days after the installation, I went to the gate and found it hanging half off because one of the two screws had completely fallen out. I had to dig around in the dirt to find it. I also found when I looked at the remaining screw, that it's installation had left a crack in the fence gate itself. I called three times about the latch, asking for it to be fixed. Finally, I got a call yesterday from some other company saying they had been asked to repair my gate latch but it would cost me $150. They said that "someone must have slammed the gate, or tried to bust it deliberately." We have used the gate only maybe three times since the installation. We don't go in and out much, and the latch is pretty much just to keep anyone out of our yard. We are only two adults living here, and have no kids who might have abused the gate. I have left two messages now with the company stating that I will not pay anyone to fix their workmanship. I expect them to make it right. I am really dismayed that after spending so much on a fence, they are trying to avoid fixing such a small detail. Meanwhile my backyard is open to anyone who might care to come in and steal my grill, patio furniture, or miscellaneous tools. I'm very disappointed in the customer service, and I would not recommend this company (at least not in Nashville, TN) to anyone. UPDATE Finally the original installer came out and put in a new latch. However, he said he couldn't replace it with the same kind of latch because reusing the original holes would not be secure attachment. The new latch is smaller and does not cover the original holes. I am attaching photos showing the holes. I asked the installer if he could repair the holes, and he said there was no way for him to do that. His suggestion was that I "put tape over them." That's a really unprofessional, unattractive and not a durable solution. YouTube has multiple options for repairing a hole in the vinyl, including a kit from Amazon for approximately $50. It's unfair that Ergeon would expect me to repair it. After posting this original review, someone left a voice mail that he wanted to apologize and get more details, but I called back and he wasn't available. I asked that he call me again, but I have heard nothing. read more

After moving into my house, I finally decided to have the fence stained in my new construction home in Antioch, The process went very smoothly until my neighbor came up and told me that they had overspray that damaged their concrete , they came out and pressure washed my neighbors damage A few weeks later, we noticed a huge portion of the back of our fence never actually got stained , and that a majority of the tops of the fence never got stained either, Pay close attention to the work their installation teams are performing . Once I pointed out the issue to them, it has turned into radio silence for a week now not getting any sort of solutions to fix this, it's inevitable that a company is going to mess up eventually, but how the company acts afterwards defines customer service. My neighbors and I needed to replace several hundred feet of original shared fence (+25 years old), individual gates and make other modifications (additional gates, moving fence lines, etc...) for HOA approval. Ergeon's remote "video conference" for property review and design was quickly a non-starter during the video call. When pushed for an in-person site walk with a designer/installer to discuss options, they stated that they wouldn't have anyone onsite, other than a photographer, until AFTER their design and build bid was accepted. So their remote "wave your phone's camera around process" may work for some but we had just too many "what should we do here" questions over the three property lines. read more

We needed to replace a retaining wall & fence, and the quotes we got from others were high. Ergeon was very reasonable, and the virtual process for estimation was convenient. The installer they worked with was very skilled. Payment was easily facilitated online by linking a bank account (can do card for a fee). My only constructive feedback is that we reached a point once the installer was on site working where it would have been easier to speak with them directly rather than talking through our Ergeon concierge. 5 stars all around... From the initial contact, they provided an estimate virtually, I insisted on an in-person inspection and estimate and they obliged. This fence is shared with a neighbor who was very difficult. Irving, from Ergeon Sales, was very patient, professional, and helpful. When the estimate was approved, the installation was scheduled within a couple of days. There was rain in the forecast, so instead of a 2 person team showing up, 7 showed up to get it done faster. What was impressive was how well organized, coordinated, and collaborative all 7 were. They worked like a well-oiled machine finishing the job in 2 hours instead of an all day expected duration. They cleaned up after themselves, and waited for over 30 - 45 minutes for me to show up and inspect the work. Umberto, the foreman, was cordial, professional, and super nice. Jonnely, the project manager was communicative and reached me through my preferred medium. She emailed me and texted me, and kept me up to date every step of the way. It is rare you find a contractor you like that gets the job done well. It is more rare to be satisfied at every touchpoint of the journey. They definitely exceeded my expectations. So much, I asked them to come back and do another piece of the fence just a couple of days later. Although it was too small of a job, they were very accommodating. The Good: I did eventually get a fence installed by and based on a handful of quotes price was really good. The quality of the actual fence materials are A grade. The quality of the itself is like a B or B+ which is great because my back yard is un level and challenging. Everyone was always very very polite. This isn't always the case in the construction industry. The Bad: The project took longer a little than anticipated-- quoted and accepted 12/20/23, work finished 2/8/24 with a week lost to me being on vacation. 1 no call no show appointment. Communicating with the project coordinator was like pulling teeth. They raised the price ~3% for some unknown reason. It wasn't a lot of money overall so wasn't a big deal, but just seems weird. They installed in the rain and left my deck and my next door neighbor's paved back yard covered in mud. Net net, I might hire them again since I didn't have any time constraints and their prices are super competitive. But stay away if you are short on time or require accurate and timely communication. read more

Communication to me was horrible. The arrival was late. The demo went quickly, but the old fence was left in the front yard. Then, the crew left mid afternoon. No communication to me, and I was in my house! Finally, after three more visits, the new fence was installed. Then, after this past winter storms we discovered the fence could be moved by hand. I called Ergeon, and they returned to modify post brackets with larger bolts at the base of the fence. Communication is key with any customer interaction. I believe that circumstances and events happen for a reason, and I also believe in second chances, thus my UPDATED review. After the initial encounter with Ergeon, my neighbor and I (who was going to split the cost of the fence with me) were going to use another independent contractor from a big name company. Their price was about the same and they were scheduled to start their services 2-3 weeks out. Well, it turns out they wanted to be paid in full in advance, and that was not going to happen. My neighbor and I decided to give Ergeon another try, given they were very apologetic and attempted to make things right with us. I am so happy I decided to go back with Ergeon. Again, I spoke with Tom, who was great about giving us a new quote, with appropriate discounts given considering our past experiences. I was then connected with Joan, our Project Manager and she was fantastic to work with. Friendly and organized, she was great about answering any questions I had and sending updates whenever the foreman/PG&E personnel had to come to our property. My appointment time was scheduled 8am-10am and the installer came around 9. He and his partner installed our 26 foot fence in under 2 hours. I was so impressed by how fast, efficient, and thoroughly they worked-making sure to take out all of the debris from the old fence and leaving my yard clean, and being careful to ensure my neighbors jasmine shrub was placed back on the fence where it was previously. Once the job was over, they said they would wait 2-3 weeks to apply the stain and Joan called and went over the warranty information and explained their billing department would send separate invoices to my neighbor and I. At the end of the day my neighbors chose their friends to construct a fence to divide the 3 way properly. But if it were just up to me I would have preferred that the business award go to the team at Ergeon because they gave a more professional bid and a much more detailed financial summary of what would be involved, delivered and what should be expected. read more

This appears to be a company which holds its license in S. California, yet projects that it is local. We suspect the sales people, in particular, are far, far away. You're given a bid based on a virtual Google map analysis. It's really ingenious. The result is quick and the sales person engaging. In our case we were installing a chain link fence and had little experience with the product. We accepted the " residential" grade, which is a step up from chicken wire and then had the sense to suggest closer posts as well as deeper concrete positioning. We had no idea about gauge size of the link or much else. Changes of course up the bid. Once you sign on, to a very good bid, they find a local contractor. This is where the problems start. The first fellow sent out showed up 4 hours late. You don't know who or what is being assigned to you and miraculously the first guy cancelled on us a few days before the job was scheduled. The next company they found was a legit company (one I had considered using originally). Saul from Pro Fence was able to answer our concerns and after adding several hundred dollars to the original bid we learned that the posts had been upgraded and the gauge raised to a viable grade. Ergeon did not schedule the vendor per his schedule and more chaos resulted. In the end we were and are happy with the end result, but it was not a smooth project. You could end up with an undesirable vendor. You have no idea what you're getting. Not sure where the project manager is located; could be out of the country or wherever virtual companies live. Personally, I'd stick with a local known entity, but if you're knowledgeable you could make this virtual aggregator work. Hard to believe they get so many 5 stars. read more

Blown away, start to finish! 1) Sales process Orlando helped us out. He was very patient, explained everything well. He set up a video walk through literally less than 24 hours after my first contact. He sent me some 3D mockups that were very helpful. I asked a bunch of questions and he answered all of them. Great process start to finish. 2) Project Management Joan was our PM and was awesome just like Orlando. She was very responsive on email, and I must have emailed her 20+ times. Very detailed and helpful answers every time. 3) Fence itself Maya came out for an in person site visit and asked great questions to make sure everything was right. Then, yesterday, Octavio and Juan Carlos did the work. These guys are true craftsmen. They took pride in the work and the quality was even better than my high expectations. This was NOT an easy straight line fence install. They did not rush the work and patiently got it perfect. I have to say, I was really blown away - they are very talented. Also, very respectful of the property and just super nice guys too. Cannot say enough about them - rockstars. Other fence companies I called were more expensive and more slow (such as 3 weeks just to come out and do a site visit). I am extremely happy, start to finish here, and the final product (the fence) is so beautiful! read more

We looked at a few companies before we selected Ergeon to build our fence (keep in mind they are a general contractor, not the actual installer), and even though there were a few minor bumps at the start with some turnover on their sales team, overall the process from start to finish was unusually good. Having worked with general contractors and subcontractors before, I have experienced the full spectrum (from positive to negative) of professionalism, communication and skill, and Ergeon made the process and project quick, efficient, and easy, and their sub that actually built our fence did excellent work. Additionally, when I noticed a minor issue after the fence was built, they immediately coordinated the fix, and followed up to ensure it was completed correctly. This is the way contracting should work! read more
