6 months ago, I had one vehicle. I was paying 145 dollars through Angie and state farm. A couple…read morepeople in my family had insurance through her so i just started with her when i started driving. I was with her for years and my payment just seemed to go up. No accidents, no tickets. 145 for full coverage. I asked her month after month if there was any way possible that I could lower my rate. Everytime I asked I was told that I already had the bare minimum full coverage rate that I could have. Eventually I got sick of this and got a quote through Geico. 65 dollars for better coverage then I had through Angie. I called to cancel my policy and guess what she said? "Let me see what I can do to get you a lower rate." Absolutely not. I ended my policy with her and started with Geico. In the last 6 months I have added motorcycle insurance, insurance on my truck and renters insurance all while keeping full coverage on my car. All my vehicles have full coverage plus my renters insurance for 115 dollars through Geico. I am paying 30 dollars less than what I was paying for one vehicle with Angie, for 3 vehicles and renters insurance with Geico. Beware, she is a cheat. I could not be happier with Geico. Also Angie never sent the information she needed to send to my bank that I was covered. My bank almost charged me these crazy fines for not being insured because she was too lazy to do the things I was paying her to do. Not to mention the fact that they took my payment out after I cancelled my policy with her and only refunded 20 dollars out of the 145 that they stole from my account because she said I owed it to her. I am not sure if this is all state farm agents or just this one but look at a few other options before you go here. She is awful.

Great Until They Weren't…read more Have been clients since 2007. Paid our premiums on time. Made one small auto claim. They got in touch about our crumbling cement steps and cautioned that if we didn't fix them that we "might not be covered in the event of an instance involving the steps." We kept meaning to get to the steps. Then we get a notice saying that we have been CANCELLED because of the steps. Steps are fixed. No one returns our calls or emails from Robert K. Jones. When I call, I am deflected by the receptionist. "She'll call you right back." An hour passes. When I call back and am connected to the agent "Lisha," she has excuses but no apologies. We have been without homeowner's insurance for two-and-a-half weeks and it seems they just don't give a damn. Nice folks, but not in the trenches for you. Keep shopping.

Our daughter recently got into 2 accidents & then held against her that she actually used the road side assistance we have been paying to have for years. Corporate said she would be taken off insurance but then they came after us & we were told to work with our agent, I left multiple messages & was told sorry, we are training a new person & so on. I actually drove over more than once just to be able to talk to someone because my calls were not being returned. We explained that we hadn't been in any accidents or violated anything & we have been faithfully paying our premiums & as soon as an issue arises not even with us they want to knock us off. So we submitted the info., corporate requested to our agent & was told it would be taken care of-however, my gut told me something different and I just called corporated and they say our insurance isn't active so we have been driving with out insurance for over a week and didn't know it. We are so disappointed and frustrated with this experience & with State Farm for being so great when we are paying them & not asking them to pay for anything but as soon as we make a claim or a situation happens then they want to drop us even after we were paying double to compensate our daughters accident. I just pray this doesn't happen to anyone else, ever.

They waited until the end of 2025 had passed to refund me the money thereby keep the cash on their books Their profits come first Here is some additional insight. Dont buy the news that our brokers tell us about why Sinfin has to raise costs. Climate change, more natural disasters, etc. It's a bunch of BS They lost money on their investments. And because we dont have alternative insurers we have to swallow their greedy increases Upon investigation Sinfin incurred sizeable losses connected with its investment portfolio in the first quarter of 2025. They made bad investment decisions and had to take write-downs. Cincinnati Financial Corporation has reported a net loss of $90 million for the first quarter of 2025, compared with net income of $755 million for the same period a year earlier. The loss was driven in part by a $56 million after-tax reduction in the fair value of equity securities still held in Q1'25.The company also attributed the $845 million year-over-year decline in net income to the after-tax net effect of a $536 million decrease in net investment gains and a $356 million increase in after-tax catastrophe losses. However, In the second quarter, - Cincinnati Financial reported $685M net income in Q2 2025, doubling prior year results with 18% investment income growth. - Property casualty combined ratio improved by 3.6 pts YoY, driven by underwriting gains and lower catastrophe losses. - Commercial lines and excess/surplus segments grew 9% and 12% in net written premiums, supported by pricing strategies and agent relationships. - Personal lines saw 20% premium growth but faced California wildfire risk adjustments, impacting new business. - Key contradictions in reinsurance strategy, auto loss trends, and pricing dynamics were highlighted during the earnings call. So they grew personal lines' premium growth. But they cut back their underwriting personal lines of insurance. This is from a recent investor call New business written premiums decreased by $22,000,000 in our personal line segment, in part from a $13,000,000 reduction in California as we slowed growth in some parts of that state. So it appears they cut back on new personal line business business, especially in California, but those existing clients had to pay more in terms of renewal premiums. How else could net new business premiums decrease by $22mil while you still reported 20$ net premium growth. The answer is that existing clients incurred whopping increase in premiums. This is their President speaking on a recent investor call: "Four out of the last five years as a company overall, we've had double digit net written premium growth. And the one year we didn't was at 9.5%. So that is certainly, as Mike pointed out, that's helping the cause. Re your point on rising re-insurance costs, I'm not exactly sure it was more expensive re-insurance, but that they need to buy more re-insurance, likely due to their poor risk analytics. Again their President speaking on an investor call We do a deep dive and objectively look at any lessons learned. I think it's fair to say that we've got lessons learned out of California and we're already implementing some of those actions right now. You know, without getting into a lot of detail I would say, you know, you can it's again, it's fair to say or safe to say it's around model recalibration, around aggregation, and just our view of risk." So I think some of financial impact was due to their own miscalculations-they didnt appraise risk sufficiently well and they were under insured in the re-insurance market. So, concluding, if you look at these factors which occurred earlier in the year-bad investment decisions, write-downs of their equity portfolio, risk mismanagement, under insured risks,,,,it tells me that the basis for their need to increase premiums is not third party issues, like the weather or higher materials costs, it is their mismanagement, their poor performance. Now they seek to gouge their customers to generate and improve earnings and their financial position. I dont see it really other than they performed rather poorly. !
