My husband and I have worked with Mr. Goren for a few sessions. Mr. Goren is very friendly and so good with kid (we had to bring our 14 months along since she doesn't do well at childcare). We are both impressed by Mr. Goren's knowledge and find the tools he provided us to use at home work wonders! The very first session, I left with something that was absolutely life changing-in the first 1 hour session. It's absolutely amazing what this man will help you do. I was looking for a legit therapist in Monterey, and I found one. Make the phone call, get the quote, talk to him so you can quickly find out how he can help you Do whatever you gotta do to see this guy if you want a good life. Eric has been an amazing resource in my life. He's been helping me through some difficult times. His approach is exactly what I need.

I asked Eric to be my "life coach" to help me get over some internal obstacles that were keeping me from living the life I want. After just a few sessions, and my own work, I feel unstuck and able to change. Eric is a master at cognitive behavioral therapy, and such a therapist is NOT easy to find! Eric works in the present, so you don't have to grope around for solutions by rehashing the past. He is genuinely nonjudgmental and we often laugh together. I never dread going to see him or feel unsafe, and the time spent with him is worth every hard-earned penny. Another thing I appreciate is his efficiency - he won't ask you to keep returning just so he can make his "boat payment." If there were more stars to give, my fiancé and I would gladly give them to Eric. We needed to go to therapy as a requirement of "marriage preparation" for our church, so we decided to go see Eric. We anticipated the one time "check in the box", but ended up seeing Eric several times as we thoroughly enjoyed the sessions (unfortunately, we had to move across country...hence the reason why we only saw him several times). It wasn't that we had any enormous problems in our relationship, but Eric gave us some invaluable tools to both prevent future problems and strength our existing relationship. I can not say enough about Eric. Over my decade plus marriage, my husband and I have been to a few other counselors with minimal is any success. Success meaning finding an approach that works for both my husband and I. Communication is an exceptionally hard thing for us (as with many marriages) and we needed tools to get our relationship back to where we were looking at the future with love. Eric's approach was outstanding. We often "hear" his wrongs and approach and possible "other" ways to respond daily. For us, his tactical approach had us seeing a positives changes within the first few weeks.
