In short: Eric is super dependable, knowledgeable, quick, precise, and best of all - he looks after our best interest. In detail: This is my second time working with Eric. As you can see in my previous review from May 2019, he helped my family purchase our first home. Fast forward, Feb/March 2020, as the mortgage rate had dropped significantly, we refinanced our mortgage, prompted by Eric's recommendation. We were keen to take the opportunity, but also had many nervous questions - about all the different ways that we might unwittingly get in trouble. He kindly explained it all: how much the one-time processing fee of the refinancing would be, how we would not have to pay much of those in advance, and even with the processing fee, how much we would save over the life-time of the loan, and many more. Eric really exemplifies a 5-star professional service in these four qualities:1) To any questions & doubts we have (since this is a new territory for us), he is very willing & patient to explain them all - to help us be as informed as we need to make our choice with confidence.2) He clearly outlines what specific things he needs from us in each stage of the process.3) He responds very quickly (90%+ of the time, I think he responded to my emails within 2 hours! And I have sent many emails with various questions)4) He looks after our best interest. We have run by a few advice we have gotten from other sources to him (such as "I heard bi-weekly payment saves interest a lot in the long run, should we do that?" or "I heard that only the payer of the record that receives 1098 can claim the mortgage interest deduction, is that true?") and he will NOT tolerate BS information from staying with us. He will call them out, explain the logic of the process that makes such advice false or against our interest. He cares that we have the correct knowledge to protect our best interest. These qualities of Eric were not news to me though. As my previous review from May 2020 shows, I already got these impressions of Eric then. Experiencing these qualities of him the second time though, a year later, makes my impression of him much more dependable. Eric provides: outstanding professional service, almost immediate turnaround, attention to detail and a sense of humor to boot. We recently worked with Eric for 2 home mortgage activities: we refinanced our primary residence and a short time later purchased a vacation home. Eric is a pleasure to work with, was very knowledgeable about what needed to get done for each of our situations and is always right on top of everything from the moment you start working with him. He has a knack for being able to explain the process and the details about the home mortgage process as well as the patience to do so. There was a problem with the appraisal paperwork and our 10am closing was going to be delayed. If delayed it would be days before we could close because of the holidays, a problem for us as well as the sellers.
