I've consistently taken two types of dance classes with Diana - a dance fitness class and my FAVORITE, a sensual movement class. Diana is a fun and encouraging teacher who lets her students embrace the dance moves in their own unique way. There is no pressure for perfection in her classes...she's all about her students giving it their all and finding their own power and beauty through dance - however that may look! I followed Diana over the VMAC's new facilities and am impressed so far. The price of $10 for a drop-in seems very reasonable with packaged deals available. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and welcoming. And the space seems to be newly renovated. The Dance Fitness class (currently every Thursday at 5:30pm) is the most fun I've had while working out. You'll FEEL THE BURN but also have the biggest smile on your face the whole time. Fun music and fun moves. I am hoping that Diana will be able to offer her Sensual Movement dance class at this space ASAP. It's seriously the best class EVER. We learn a choreographed dance across the span of 2-3 classes and while my body doesn't quote move like an MTV music video big-booty queen, I FEEL LIKE ONE! So much fun getting your 'sexy' on with women who are there only to support one another. VMAC - please hook it up with this class!

After suffering a lower back injury from a combination of weekend warrior wrestling and grappling,…read morefollowed by a week of desk sitting my lower back became painful and my posture terrible. I've tried various methods to fix the problem. Stretching, yoga, and massage where of no help. Core strengthening and posture training helped, but didn't solve the root problem. Paul's approach was the most effective because it addresses the fundamental underlying issue: improper motion and function. Paul's approach is to do many of the same things you would do in physical therapy but doing them repeatedly over time that you just cant get in two hours a week a physical therapists office. To get the same amount of treatment would cost thousands of dollars that your insurance just wouldn't pay. Paul's been a great help. The thing I like best about working with Paul is that it is obvious he is both compassionate and outcome driven. Clearly his main motivation is helping his students and not maximizing short-term profit by selling a 'quick fix'. Paul is not the kind of guy to be phony, or fake, or blow smoke up your butt trying to oversell you an expensive plan providing an immediate life-long fix. Rather, he offers very reasonable pricing and provides a ton of value considering what his time is worth as both an accredited PT and all around awesome teacher. I would advise anyone not to go through life with a "functional dysfunction", or worse, self-medicate with opiates or rush off to spinal surgery. Working with Paul in his small group setting really helped me gradually train my body to be used in the correct manner we are born with. We cant forget bad habits and body dysfunction, but we can learn new, proper, patterns to replace the bad movement patterns, and that is a fundamental goal of the Body Rehab Gym.
