    Homemade pecan pie
    Alex K.

The food is all very good. Nothing spectacular but it has great flavor. We have had the battered mushrooms, chicken wings, clam strip basket, perch dinner, and the fish and chips. The thing that sets this place apart is it's wonderful pecan pie. It is seriously the best pie I have ever had. I'm not a big dessert person at all but this is the one sweet I can't turn down. I'd give it a 10/5 if I could. The service is pretty subpar. Mostly older ladies who are just there to socialize with their waitress friends. I once went an entire meal without my water being refilled. It literally sat on the table empty for a good twenty minutes.

It was clean. Location is good. Outdated and nothing fancy but it's a place to lay your head and walking distance to shops and beach.

Most of the rooms were very nice however none of the pullout couches have bedding leaving me to sleep on the floor, they should not be advertising that some rooms can sleep 4. Even jf you tried to sleep on the pullout couch you would collapse in to a V shape. My roommate enjoyed a bed however they complained about the bedsheets not being very comfortable and "Cheap". In 1 room the hair dryer started blowing sparkThere were a few other issues with the room like the bathroom door not closing fully but that wasn't a big deal. They have a good location and is a 15 minute walk to the beach but the building definitely needs some love and repairs.

The pinned post advertising it was from April and they've since stopped serving buffet style. Nonetheless, we decided to order from their regular breakfast menu. The "home fries" were literally tatertots that had been baked. My Mediterranean omelet was advertised to have tomatoes, but they were nowhere to be found. We had to ask for ketchup, and it was brought in a cute, teeny tiny container. When my mom asked for some for her own omelet the server responded with "Can't you just share?" And then said something about not having much left. The mimosa was flat. They said they had about "three left" and urged us to order quickly before they were gone. They gave us some cute little orange slices with breakfast, which was a nice touch, and a carnation for Mother's Day, which was really lovely. My sister enjoyed her French toast. The decor was dated. The table they directed us to had some egg on it from the last guests. They were lovely ladies and the coffee was good, but we won't be visiting again. There are a lot of awesome places to get breakfast in Dover.

Terrible stay…read more First, the good. The front desk staff was kind. That's it. They were unable to refund any of my stay however, and thus ineffective. Now I've seen dirtier hotels, but therein lies the problem. This hotel is sneaky dirty. The rug looks vacuumed but feels like it has a film on it. The room looks clean but it stank of body order. The door inside lock had clearly been banged off before suggesting we were in the ghetto. The sheets reek of bleach so much you'll wake up with a headache (assuming you can sleep). Speaking of smells, the chlorine smell is so strong when you enter the lobby it blows you over. Clean pools don't smell that way. Dirty pools they are trying to pretend they are clean do. Now our biggest issue was there a couple rooms on our floor occupied by a dance team of maybe 10 year olds and one "parent". "Parent" however did nothing of the sorts. Thea kids ran wild until midnight. The girls ran up and down the halls, screeching, laughing, hollering hours past quiet hour. Newsflash, I stopped here right off the highway to sleep, not party. They were slamming doors and knocking and making it impossible for anyone to sleep on that floor. When we called the front desk they told us others had called too. Eventually the noise stopped but we should have been compensated at this point. We got maybe 3 hours sleep before having to hit the road again. At this point I realized I can't stay in this chain again. Their client service model is not good enough. I'm too old to save a buck on dirty rooms in systems that don't care about their customers. Buyer beware in this one.

Breakfast included. We joined their rewards program. The room had 2 queen sized beds along the left wall, and along the right wall there was a wardrobe, a small desk area with one chair, a dresser, and a small fridge. I found out that the rooms are all the same size, but there were at least 3 other room designs: you could get a room with 1 bed and a sitting area; one bed with sitting area and 2 bathrooms, or a separate bedroom with 1 bath, a sitting room, and a kitchen. For this stay, I wish we had gotten a 1-bed with sitting area, but what we got worked. Staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is really compact inside. The one thing I missed was a lounging area in the lobby. To gather in larger groups and people-watch. Here they had a couple of couches and a chair in front of the elevator and in between the check in desk and breakfast area. But the staff monitoring breakfast activities sat there until they were needed in the breakfast nook, sometimes drinking their own beverages and talking amongst themselves.
