When my wife and I were looking for a specific rose bush, we were able to find it here where we were not able to find it anywhere else. This was also the place I was able to find a Bloomerang lilac when they were sold out everywhere else (wow that seems so long ago). The store can be a bit pricier than the other big box competition, but I am happy that I can find someone to help me here when I have questions or concerns.

However, a couple of caveats. The large carts are extremely heavy to pull so if you have a wagon I'd highly recommend taking it. And, second, each individual pot is not well marked. I photographed each plant marker and then each pot(s) as I loaded them into my cart. Now I have all the planting details for reference.

The great Humber Nursery on Albion Road closed 5 years ago and there have been a few other players trying to fill their shoes. This is also a very long time nursery in business over 60 years. They also have a loyalty program for purchasers. I don't know how many times I will come this far for purchasing but when I am in the area I feel comfortable buying in such a well run establishment. I bought only two fruit bushes but I saw the condition of other plants and feel confident they are all of very good quality. They have these amazing slides and my very adult husband fully embraced his childish side and had to try them out. Was he waiting in line with small children for the experience? Yes. Did he go down one of the slides too fast and take a spill? Yes to that too! Did we still have a really fun time? Absolutely. It was pretty busy when we visited but once you start walking around you understand why. It's a great place to spend some time. There's an open green space and we saw lots of paths and trails that you could walk on. There's plenty of room for people to spread out and just enjoy their day. We didn't even know that the slide area would be there, but it definitely brought out our inner child and gave us a good laugh. This location is great for kids, families, couples or anyone that wants to enjoy a nice day outside and I definitely recommend trying the slides, but don't go down it like a water slide with your hands crossed in front of you or you'll pick up to much momentum and have a hard time stopping (or so I've heard lol) and make sure to hold on to the rail so you can slow yourself down at the bottom!
