We placed several emergency calls to him, with NO RESPONSE. So, we let that go, took my mom to a hospital that had psychiatric care and were well taken care of. Upon my mom's return we returned to Dr. Guirguis' care only to be met by unanswered calls, a rude receptionist, Vicki, who does not return calls, and an inability to get much needed information. My brother tried for 2 weeks to get in touch with someone in the office to no avail!! Then when Vicki, the receptionist, did return his call, it was only to reschedule my mom's must needed appointment! We are done with you people! And you call yourselves professionals? I think not! I was initially apprehensive about seeing a male therapist as I worried that I'd be embarrassed to open up to him or that he wouldn't understand me. I was wrong. From the first meeting he just told me to say what was on my mind, I did and it was great and I left feeling like I'd actually done something that was helping me move in the right direction. He's friendly, kind, welcoming, a great listener, I don't know how he does it but he remembers pretty much everything, he's funny and you feel like he genuinely cares about what you have to say while helping you realize the reasons why you feel and act the way you do. Along with other important changes I've made in my life, he has truly been a great help in guiding me to be more assertive and quiet my own inner critic enough to find peace of mind. The phone call started off OK but once Dr. Pueblos realized that my kid is transgender, the whole tone of the conversation changed. He was dismissive and incredibly rude, and really quick to end our conversation.
