I knew that whomever I got my massage from was going to be great and to my surprise, it was Angie. I loved her techniques, and her presence. She was relaxed, moved slowly and methodically. Her nonintrusive conversation was exactly what I was looking for. She took her time and made me feel extremely comfortable. She asked questions to make sure that the pressure was right or that my neck was comfortable, and if I needed work on any specific area. She was thoughtful and, very professional. I'd highly recommend her. The space is calming with the dim lights and soft music. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot stones and towels. And, because I have a sprain on my left ankle she offered to put a cold compress on it throughout the duration of my massage which soothed it tremendously. I had pulled something when I attempted to lift a heavy object from the floor. Add months of tension, stress and long hours of sitting on uncomfortable furniture and multiple prior injuries, I ended up being in excruciating pain from top to toe. Tonie first did a thorough analysis of my health issues and expectations. Then, she followed up with questions to fully understand the condition I was in. When she started, it was as if I had gone to her for years. She knew my problem areas and addressed them perfectly. She competently stroke away muscle tension and helped me to fully relax. She massaged away several knots. But at the same touch, she was able to switch to a very gentle touch when she massaged areas of inflammation. I immediately used to opportunity to book an hour session with one of their therapists, Bori, for the following day. I will say that the thought of visiting a traditional 'spa' typically is not very appealing to me, Bori's office location offers the same relaxing and serene experience without all the spa extravaganza; a perfect combination. She set up a perfectly quaint little studio in an easily accessible location with plenty of parking. As someone who relies on massage therapy during triathlon training season, I can honestly say that Bori is one of the most talented therapists I have met. Highly recommended!
