The store is cool I liked it, I even bought some stuff. The problem wasn't until I looked at something after I had finished my purchase. I had said the forbidden "W" word on accident in a place that's stocked full of stuff that clearly isn't for tobacco and was put out. Definitely not coming back, being put out of a place makes you feel really stupid. read more

Cool place. They have neat stuff and the staff always says hi and and are helpful. The hours are ideal. The store seems to be open whenever I want to go there. Any time I've needed to call to see if they have something in stock they always pick up the phone and are very helpful. read more

Wow just wow! Wasn't even 2 feet in the store and an employee came up to me and said I wasn't allowed to have my purse in the store. I said ok that's fine I'm standing here at the front anyways waiting for the person who actually came in from out of town and wanted to see the store. I wasn't planning on walking around the store as I do not even like the style or what they have to offer. If was for a friend whom was interested. Then the "boss man" started to yell out how he's lost $500 worth of incense and no one is allowed to have bags in the store. Again I said fine I wasn't planning on going any further. Way to treat your guests and sorry I wasn't planning on stealing your incense. Just because some sort person did that doesn't give you a right to treat everyone else with disrespect. Next time better think about how to handle your business issues without ruining more business. Trashy! read more

Honestly, a really fantastic record store. I have always had to leave this place with less than I wanted because it is so tempting to buy everything that I see. And let me tell you, as a metal head, there are a lot of vinyls, albums, and tapes here to choose from. The place also smells fantastic. The guys that work here are also very smart, and know what they are talking about when it comes to music. I came in wearing a Behemoth shirt one time, and the metal guy with the septum piercing took note, recommending a very rare release by the band. The owner is also very knowledgeable. This is the best place in Rapid to get Metal and Rock music. There is also some nice band merch in the front of the store, where I got a Frank Zappa shirt one time. I think this is the only place in my entire life where I ever saw a Zappa shirt sold in stores. By the band merch are incense sticks, and a table that has these indie books. Usually they are coloring books for adults, though I have seen many different types in my many visits to E.N.. The last time I was there, there were also magazines on rack, most music related. By the incense sticks are hookahs, though most are small. I can't remember if they sell shisha, for I never bought a hookah from the store actually. A friend of mine told me that the hookahs are more for show than for smoking, since they are smaller and more decorated. If they, or anyone else in town doesn't have what you're looking for, they'll order it for you. Back in 2012, I went all over Rapid searching for 'Balls Out' by Steel Panther, and it wasn't until I came here that I was able to order the album. Not long before Rapid, they seemed to expanding upon their vinyl and Rap sections of the store. Would definitely go back, I miss this place a lot. read more

This place feels like it's transported you back to the '90's complete with a thick haze of incense & peyote, and all the albums you buy there will smell like the place years after you've brought them home. Get kind of a wonky vibe from the hazy staff, but still fun to browse, if not a dark atmosphere. They always surprise me with the diverse selection. read more

It's really refreshing to see that locally owned independent record stores still exist. Ernie November's is everything you would expect from an independent record store. I love being able to get lost searching through used records & CDs. Excellent customer service! I always make it a point to stop by Ernie November's when I'm in town.
