Less than a year later, a big part of one of the "trimmed" trees broke off at the base & crashed on our home's roof, causing major damage. Oh well... C&W came out a few days after I contacted them (once all the home roof repairs were done). Their very fair estimate included removal of the "killer" tree (the one that broke & smashed our house), another ill/dying maple tree, and trimming of the remaining big maple trees surrounding our home. They gave me an estimate of when they'd be able to do the work, and met that time estimate. The crew showed up on time, did an EXCELLENT job of removing the dead/dying trees, and properly trimmed the remaining trees (not just "topping" them). They were professional and personable, we walked the property, they took photos and asked questions about accessibility to different areas. They were up front with concerns about possible damage to existing flower beds and explained a plan to minimize damage to yard from equipment. i requested shrubs be pulled out vs cut off and stumps ground. Within 48 hrs they sent me a quote for each of the jobs. Instead of recognizing their error and placing me higher on their installation list, I was placed on bottom. I did not hear from them between April and end of May, and did not hear from them as to when my fence would be installed. At the beginning of July, I emailed about my frustration with lack of communication and how long this was taking since I approved the quote in April. They responded that day and the next week, they showed up to install. Contractor said it would be two days. With no additional clarification, I assumed that day and the next. Nope, that day and another day.....no information given as to when the second day would be. We had a Kentucky board, western style fence installed to keep 2 dogs in, with two access gates. Within 10 seconds of letting my dogs out, one of them got out of the fence at the gate. Come to fine out the gage of fence used behind the Kentucky board is bendable by hand. When I contacted the owner, he said this was not a normal problem. I find that hard to believe as my dog is nothing special. We had to fix the new fence ourselves. We have had to fix several additional places where the gage of the original fence is not holding up. It's too week and I can bend it myself. Decent work, quality of the product is poor, and communication is pitiful at best. Not worth the cheaper price - you get what you pay for.......
