I can't believe I've waited this long to write a review for Jose. I've used him for both interior and exterior work, on both my own home and other properties in the area. Each of the three jobs was big enough for me to get multiple quotes, and Jose came in at or near the best price. But, unlike some of the other painters, he's licensed & insured. And it goes without saying, because I've used him for multiple jobs over a period of a few years, that his work is top-notch, matching drywall texture, repairing stucco, repairing trim, etc. His crew is friendly, personable, and clean up the work area each day. And it looks good both on day one and a year or two later. Though his work is great, what really stands out is his honesty and taking ownership of issues; two occasions stand out that impressed me: 1) his crew unintentionally unplugged a small refrigerator at one of the buildings while doing prep work, and a tenant called me all frustrated at the potential loss of some food; I drove out to resolve the issue with the intention of paying the tenant for any lost food, but in the time between my call with the tenant and me arriving on-site, Jose had already offered to pay the tenant himself. 2) I unintentionally overpaid him a significant amount on one of the jobs; he didn't catch it at the time either. But reconciling invoices a few weeks later, he proactively reached out to me to let me know of my error and refunded the excess. I probably would never have noticed the discrepancy, but for his honesty. And bonus: without fail, whenever he says he will meet me at a particular date & time to provide an estimate, start work, or review a past job, he is on time; this is not something I can say for every contractor. read more

We are in the process of refurbishing the largest room in our house, and we needed some help that was well beyond a fresh coat of paint. In particular, there was some sloppy drywall patching left from earlier electrical work and an old fireplace with dated trim that we wanted to modernize. Jose approached the job as a true professional. He told us up-front what he could do and made recommendations on colors and trim changes. He made an effort to save us money by reusing paint we had saved from previous projects. His quote was reasonable, and in the end, was exactly what he charged us. I had gotten a couple other estimates, but this one came in lower, plus he gave me a discount since my brother had recommended him. So i had them do a paint job of the entire outside of my 2 story house in Nov 2015. Jose & his crew did a great job, very thorough, attention to details and pointed out a few things that needed to be fixed, which they were willing to do. Very happy with the job.
