Mickey was phenomenal and really got into her character during this! The escape room itself was set up amazing and the the props in this room were off the chart! A new clue to help you succeed is found in very unusual and fun places! It made it so much fun and this experience far out weighed one from earlier in the day at a different location escape room. My family and I did the Starlight Motel, and it was one of the best escape rooms I have ever done (and I have done a fair number)! What really stood out was having the actor in the room with you playing the game. He kept us laughing and gave hints, keeping the flow going when we got stuck. The production value from the sets to the plot was well thought out. I especially loved the jump scares and that the ending (no spoilers) encouraged team bonding! They said they have a second location where all three rooms take place in the same "universe," and you can do them all in one day. That is definitely on my to-do list next time I am back in town! read more

We had NEVER been. We had no idea what to expect. We set out goal to beat the best time posted on the stat board. We had fun, we completed the challenge, we came NOWHERE NEAR TO BEATING THE BEST TIME, but MAN did we have fun. We thought so many things were obviously clues...and they weren't. We sang all the lyrics to every song being played to find the clue... but there were none! And with each mistake we made we laughed like a herd of hyenas. Two hours of challenges, higher order thinking skills, logic, a few frights with bangs and booms and strange noises, but what a great time. Most of us declared we'd come again. The staff who registered us and led us through the mystery were warm and personable and by the time we left we felt like family! We sure did feel the sparkle from doing the Yuletide Magic room! We only had to wait a few minutes after our reservation once our whole party arrived and were immediately greeted by a peppy fella named Luke. Luke was awesome from start to finish, including his unexpected yet rockstar performance in our game scenario to boosting our egos with congratulations at the end of our escape. The room itself was fantastic! We loved the holiday theme; it was challenging, whimsical and creative. My family took on The Inventor's Enigma room today to my son's birthday. It was run by a nice fellow named Luke. From the first moment Luke burst into the waiting room he made it fun and interesting. We showed up early after our lunch but was welcomed in--they were able to kick off the escape a bit early. The creative challenges in the rooms kept our party of five working hard together and separately nearly the whole hour. We actually solved it with 2:07 to spare. We had help with a few tips on where to go next but without spoiling the fun. At the end we were excited to place the final pieces into place as we realized that we were successful! Came here for a team building event while in town for business. I have been to a couple of other "Escape Rooms" and this one definitely was on par to be in the top experiences. We had a pretty large group split into 2 teams for "The Fallout" experience. Even though my team didn't win I thought it was a good experience and enjoyed the puzzles. I would recommend giving it a try. Only negative for me was the parking. Our large group followed another large group and when we arrived we had to get creative on parking. It didn't help the other group was in the middle of the lot talking and didn't seem to want to move out of the way. read more

I already wrote a review but for my pure excitement to go back I am writing another review. When we went we did the room that is the horror one for 16- older. Highly, highly recommend. In this room there is a live actor in the room the entire time. We have drake. He was super funny and awesome to talk to by far my favorite part of the escape room( btw he needs a raise). The escape room was challenging and very fun. There is also a couple creative jumpscares. The other person who we had was Josh who made it seem very realistic in the beginning( he also needs a raise). I usually do not write reviews but because of how amazing the room was I had to. This was amazing!! We did my dads 60th birthday party here last night and had the best time ever. We started upstairs in their event space with drinks and appetizers. They allow you to bring in your own catering and we got everything set up in their perfectly sized space for our party. We then moved to doing The Lift. It is a 10 minute easier version of their escape rooms. Even though we had a hard time with it haha! The escape room we picked was The Fallout. It is a competitive room designed for two teams to compete in the same set up escape room but just in different actual rooms. We had the best time finding clues and really worked so well as a team together. I just loved the entire experience. After the rooms we went back up and ate dinner. It was all in all just a really great experience. The staff was so helpful from planning to execution. Thank you so much to the Escape Artist staff for everything! read more

We heard great things about Escape Artist Greenville so we decided to make the drive northward to check them out. My wife and I have done a lot of escape rooms (85+) so we are a little picky... but Escape Artist Greenville turned out to be one of the best escape room companies we have ever been to. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome thanks to our friendly host/gamemaster Josh. Rooms we did: 1) Classified // 2) The Lift (10 minute experience) // 3) Starlight Motel - Classified: We were a little worried that this room might just be another cookbook "Spy Theme" that we've done way too many times... it was not. It was a completely unique "theme" that I won't spoil... but it was a lot of fun. The gamemastering team of Josh + Felix was among the best we've ever had. This room perfectly combined an immersive environment, great mental and physical puzzles, exciting moments that got our heart racing, and lighthearted fun that had us laughing throughout the adventure. - The Lift: The lift was a great short duration experience (10 mins or less) that is definitely worth checking out, especially if you have some time in between escape rooms. It has a fun/creepy vibe without being overly scary. Small physical footprint with multiple surprises. - Starlight Motel: One of the best rooms we have ever done. Incredible immersion both in terms of the room design and thanks to our in-game actress Audrey. For those cursed with introversion/apprehensive about having an in-game actress/actor... do this room. This is the perfect example of how an in-game actress/actor can really add to the experience without being intrusive/annoying/making the experience less comfortable. I can not stress enough how amazing Audrey was- she stayed in character without fault and added humor, immersion, and excitement to the experience. The hint system is completely in theme- literally nothing breaks the immersion of the experience. If you can handle a decent dose of scary, this room is a must. If not, this room might be 2spooky4U. Though we have played a small number of escape rooms that match the high quality of room design at Escape Artist Greenville, we have never had gamemasters as great as Josh and Audrey. Their enthusiasm, positive energy, and obvious commitment to providing a great experience made our visit to Escape Artist Greenville one we will never forget. read more

This is probably the most fun I've had in a long time in Greenville, SC. My husband and I just went in for a date night on my birthday today and we had a blast. The Fallout description online didn't do the place justice. We weren't sure which one to choose, but we are so glad we picked this nuclear time bomb. Not only was it challenging and intriguing but it was also explosive with the dramatic sound effects and props that were placed all over the room. When we went in we had no idea it would have us hooked with only one game. We will be coming back to book with our host Makayla and with a larger group hopefully so that we can crack the code and break out this time before the "bomb" goes off! Lol (Sidenote: that ish was super scary and caught us both off guard when smoke filled the room lol Priceless!) If you're looking for something different to do than movies or the bar, this is a very couple friendly/ group friendly / family friendly activity. It's truly a gem in our city!! read more

Attended an Official Yelp event at the Escape Artist. Our group of 8 used our skills to get out of Dr. Fratelli's cabin. I love all the puzzles that you had to solve to get out. We made it out of the room with only a few minutes to spare. We had so much fun!!! They have several different rooms you can try and see if you're smart enough to figure out the clues and escape. I definitely want to come back and try the other rooms. Dan the man and everyone from the Escape Artist were all nice. This is a great place to challenge your families and friends. We did "Fallout" room with all of our family members (this is the only room that accommodates large amount of people. However, you do have to split up into 2 teams and compete with each other.) Even our skeptical and not too excited about this experience people looooved it! It was so much fun and we kept on talking about this experience over and over again. It's great to do with competitive people because only one team wins. The room is challenging but fun. Good thing they give you unlimited amount of tips/clues. We definitely needed them even though we have smart people in the family. Lol. But if you get a clue, the other team gets it too, to keep it fair. Everything from the lobby, to the room, to the "host" Josh were amazing!! We had great experience and would try to "escape" from other rooms for sure!
