This place truly lives up to the claim of being the best escape rooms in Tallahassee! In fact, I…read morewould argue they're up with the best in all of Florida. We did all three rooms in one night and had a great time, and we're super excited to see the fourth room when it comes out! We started with Murder in London which, from the time you enter the door, felt like being transported to the past. The environment felt nicely immersive with some great decor and layout. The theming was on point and made for a great area to explore. My one critique of this room is that the searching aspect could be tedious, especially for one of the final puzzles. Otherwise, most of the room was fairly intuitive and lots of fun. Wizard's Tower was our next room and we would have absolutely adored it if the mechanic was just a little more clearly explained. If you're a fan of non-linear rooms, this will be right up your alley, but for us it was just a little too non-linear with us trying to solve a puzzle we didn't realise wasn't ready to be solved and losing a fair amount of time. That said, the staff were super generous and added time to allow us to work through the room to conclusion. Granted we were lucky to not have anyone immediately behind us, but the fact they were willing to give us extra time to solve everything was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Finally, Secrets of the Pharaohs was probably our lowest ranked room but still fun, for sure. A much more straightforward room than the other two, it's probably the best one for a warmup. Similar to many Egyptian tomb rooms but unique enough to be fun and with no reliance on locks, keys, or codes. We'll be keeping an eye out for that fourth room and hope to be able to play it ourselves!

A group of six signed up to do the "Murder in London" escape room. I thought it was interesting that they managed to cram so many objects in such little space - except really, it wasn't that little as you began to solve the games. Although this isn't per se my cup of tea (nothing against it except I rather use my brain doing other things - I personally am not a fan of riddles), this was a fun time. They have several options present at this location, and my friends and I were already talking about returning and doing another one of the rooms. We will see when that happens. Worth a visit at any rate.

We were on our toes the whole time, moving well through the room (we thought!) only to fail the LAST PUZZLE. Ashley (I hope I have name right!) our room monitor, did a great job setting up the story and helping us figure out the last clue, even though we were out of time. Highly recommend! Last note: I can't tell you why (spoilers!!!) but this is the hardest I have ever laughed in an escape room! The only time I have wished I had my phone so I could record my team mates solving a puzzle! Thank you, Escape Manor!

The man at the front was not the friendliest and honestly.. was quite rude lol. He didn't make the experience fun at all. Very short with the "intro" if that's even what you want to call it, and just a vibe killer to be honest. The room itself was ok, the clues/locks were pretty easy to figure out. We did get a flash light and the batteries were going out, not sure if that was intended to be that way or not but it made it very difficult to see when we had to keep smacking the flashlight to work. There were a lot of things damaged in the room, not sure if that was from prior guests or if it was meant to be that way. I had a good time but won't be returning.

Just got back from an excellent 3.5 day retreat at Butter and Egg Adventures…read more My husband and I brought 25 students, plus our two kids down to Troy. While the website was impressive, we had no idea the treat we were in for! The staff is warm and welcoming. The camp is family run, and it is obvious that the rest of the staff are included in that warmth. Our students had a blast on the zip lines and ropes courses, and grew together as a group through the facilitated team building activities. As a director of Residential Life it was incredibly heart warming watching the students open up to each other and work together in a new way. Honestly, I really can't say enough good things. Even though my husband and I were the only chaperones of 25 teens (with our two kids), we felt relaxed the entire time. Because of the staff's collaboration with us, we knew the students were taken care of. It made the entire adventure a relaxing experience - which, believe me, is a huge feat. While there were threats of a storm (which never happened) we felt perfectly safe with the camp's procedures. Any of our group's random complications were handled with grace and support. You can really tell the thought and care that Susan, Ron, Natalie, and the rest of the crew put into the entire experience. If you are looking for a fun, easy, and transformative experience for a group- I HIGHLY recommend you contacting Susan and Ron at Butter and Egg Adventures!!

However, when we were here for our conference we had a bunch of people coming together and wanting to do something together. On this trip, we visited here twice. We escaped twice. To note, it wasn't the same group each time I visited, but it was a nice mix of people that we really enjoyed ourselves. When we booked, we just booked for two people to kind of reserve the room. The additions paid when they showed up to the facility. Upon our first go round here, we were early. We joked that we would love to have a drink while in here. The staff promptly told us that we can partake in alcohol and that if we wanted to get a drink we could go to one of the nearby restaurants or the liquor store up the block. We did a quick run and were set free into our rooms for each respective room. Seeing my colleagues and friends coming together to bust out of a room was amazing. We were able to figure out the clues and once we were organized into teams inside the room, we defeated each of them. Escape rooms are a fun thing to do, whether you escape or not. We really enjoyed these ones at this locations and if time would have permitted, we would have taken on more.
