This is my first (and only, so far) escape room, so it's really hard to rate it as I have nothing to compare it to. The good: The staff were really nice and helpful. That was appreciated. Once we figured out how things worked, it went better. We thought there might be secret levers and things like that (you know, like a book in a bookcase that opens a secret door or something - not here, at least). Once we realized it was all brain-teasers and puzzles, we were able to readjust our approach and do better. The not so good (maybe): I expected "more" - a bigger venue, more space, and more things to search through. This was pretty much moving from one puzzle to another. Would I do it again? Perhaps. We went for our first escape room experience. We had four on group-ages 8, 12, 2 adults. We did the Blackbeard room which is moderate level. It definitely was a bit more difficult for us newbies. We tended to make it way more complicated than it needed to be. The clues, puzzles, etc were excellent and the room was very engaging. It took us 58 minutes to "escape." So I like to think we got our money worth. The staff made the experience fun, especially for our kiddos. We got a few hints to help us along the way, when we requested them. Again, we made it more difficult than it needed to be. Our little guy figured out a few codes and was able to put all the puzzle pieces together promptly. Our older son was able to figure out codes as well. So it was definitely kid friendly. I would highly recommend stopping by in a rainy day. read more

My friend and I played through every room in just two days, and I loved all of them! Zanzibar was his favorite, but I really loved the speakeasy. Me and friends, a group of 5, had a fun time solving the puzzles. It's was complex but fun.

We did this on Sunday. No waiting and picked our Room and our Time before hand while having lunch and paid online. All we had to do was show up and sign in with no waiting. Before entering they give you a chance to go to the restroom, asking questions or whatever you need to do before your group gets started. There were 3 of us in our group and we did Lost Jewel of Zanzibar (for beginners) because it was our first time ever doing this. It was fun and well worth the $25.00 I spent to have a fun outing with the girls. You watch a video and go over things you will see in the room before you enter. On a TV monitor you will get clues and you can even ask for extra clues if you need them. We escaped with 43 seconds to spare. This is pretty intense if you are the type of person that can't loose. The place was very clean, very clean restroom, water cooler, plenty of sitting room in lobby area. Our host (can't remember his name) was very nice and you even get to take a group picture at the end with a sign saying if you did or did not escape the room. You are really never LOCKED IN WERE YOU CANT GET OUT if you want or need to leave. The whole point is you have an hour to find your clues and get out on time and that hour passes fast. This is fun at anytime but if it's a bad weather day or to hot to be outside this is a great activity. You get to use your brain for a full hour! read more
