They had so much fun we signed up for another one right away. By the end of the week we had come back and done all 5 rooms. Every single room/theme was unique, with a mixture of traditional devices, and high-tech devices. The quality of the escape rooms were top notch. Puzzles were challenging but reasonable. Some really clever unexpected solutions too. But the best part? The staff. Incredibly friendly and great with kids. They created lifelong escape room fans out of our kids. Sure we (adults) did most of the actual solving, but the kids enjoyed finding different objects / props and helping solve clues. There's a good mix of everything. We will definitely try other locations with different themes, in the future. But it will be hard to top the staff experience here at myrtle beach.

They had an opening but it was in 7 minutes. Luckily I wrangled the troops and we got checked in right away. One of the best escape rooms I had ever done was with this same group of guys so we already had experience together. I won't give anything away but I will say the room we did was very elaborate and definitely had us thinking outside the box. One thing that was different was that sometimes instead of a physical key or combo to get to the next clue, it might be an action or something not so definitive to move forward in the game. It was cool in a way, but once we wasted time because the game master said we did it wrong and we actually had it right the first go around. By the end, we finally figured it out and made it under the allotted time. As we were exiting our guide let us know that we actually had one second left on the clock. Talk about a buzzer beater! At the end they don't do a photo which I thought was odd because every other one I went to they did, but the guys snapped a pic for us anyway.

We went with the Grand Strand Hotel experience on the easiest mode, as we wanted fun more than a huge mental challenge. Our game manager (whose name escapes me, unfortunately...no pun intended!) assured us that we could get more than the standard three hints, if desired, and gave us a solid introduction to the specific room and escape rooms in general. He was generous with the hints throughout; I'd say that if you *don't* want some proactive help from your manager, it's worth mentioning that to them in advance. The room itself was interesting! I can't say much so as to avoid spoilers, but it was a fun mix of challenges, and we managed to escape with 59 seconds left. Overall, it was a great experience that left us looking forward to coming back on a future trip and also made me look forward to trying out more escape rooms in general.

The setup is creative, the lights and reflections keep you guessing, and it's a good laugh trying to figure out which way is actually the right way. It was a little pricier than I expected at $20 per person, but when you think about it, that's $40 total for two people, and it includes a wristband that lets you go through as many times as you want. If you're spending a few hours (or the whole day) at Broadway, that unlimited access makes it absolutely worth it -- especially for families or anyone who likes a bit of lighthearted adventure. Customer were required to were gloves to keep the mirrors free from fingerprints. The maze is colorful and well designed. Mirrors are very clear, almost impossible to detect without touching.
