You are greeted by the charismatic host, Dick, who explains to you the rules of the game and the gore you are about to expect. I hate scary things so I was terrified. But as we move into the 3 escape rooms, it gets less and less scary. There are live actors mixed with a bunch of animatronics. The actors do get rather close to you, but it is nothing extreme. Our group did not make it through, but we definitely had a lot of laughs on the way. Escape rooms are great for groups, with the level of creepiness, I would say this is more so for 13+.

Mystery Mayhem Escapes was a mystery indeed because I had no idea this establishment existed. I enjoyed the facility, and the owner was a pleasant resource for axe throwing tips. Previously, I did most of my axe throwing in my enchanted forest. After one too many yeets, several maple trees ganged up and tortured me in my sleep -- leaving me behind as they ran away to find new ground.
