It was a well kept campsite with great customer service from the workers. Beautiful views of the sunset over the water. Really close to pinnacle mountain state park for a great (and challenging hike). Only 20 minutes from the city and 5 minutes from a Kroger. It's also very pet friendly.

This is a great place for a church retreat or company meetings. This conference center is located…read morein a secluded area on top of a beautiful mountain that overlooks Petit Jean Mountain and the Arkansas River. When we were there the leaves were beginning to change and it was beautiful! The accommodations are great. The rooms and cabins are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are nice too. They have just built some new 2 - 3 bedroom cabins that are really nice. The common areas in the lodges have large-screen TVs and enormous stone fireplaces. There are plenty of books to read or large walls of windows where you can enjoy the complimentary coffee, hot tea or cocoa and look out at the beautiful view while sitting on a comfy couch next to the fire. Or you can go outside and enjoy a bonfire or the fire pit. There's also plenty of outdoor running room if you have a group of kids that need to play some games, set up some type of activities or just walk around enjoying the surroundings. The meeting spaces are well furnished and accommodate a large group of people easily. At Sunset Point we enjoyed the space and its furnishings. We also liked how there was a small kitchenette out in the foyer for refreshments. Speaking of refreshments...the food is top-notch. They have a wonderful award-winning chef that prepared wonderful meals for our group of 120. We ate so well at the meals that we did not really want any type of snacks throughout the day. They were VERY hospitable in every way, but what struck me the most is how they accommodated peoples dietary needs. You don't get that consideration every where. The staff at the retreat center is very flexible and helped us at every level. But I will tell you, if you're looking for lodging that has marble floors and egyptian cotton sheets you should keep looking somewhere else. This center is not built for that type of lodger. They are very nice and comfortable if you enjoy a little of a rustic feel without giving up any conveniences. All of our rooms had complimentary soap, hair dryers and irons/ironing boards. But no butler will turn your bed down at night! As they continue to grow and update properties this place is only going to get better. One more thing, this is a Christian organization...so don't make reservations if you plan to booze it up.

The park is a great place to stop for camping, picnicking, boating, and fishing. There are reservable campsites with water and electricity hookups, picnic shelters, playgrounds, hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, and a boat ramp.
