Escape has seen better days but overall it can be summed up as the only BIG Halloween rave in Socal. The monopoly on Halloween raves in SoCal means that the experience can be a hit or miss given the long lines, oversold tickets, and crowds in a tiny space. True, you do get mazes with a straight jacket, decent food, lots of art installations, and 4 EDM stages to have a blast. There's so many people that tickets were selling from 2x the price for two days (Looking at scalpers selling $350 like c'mon bruh). Music Vibes: Sorry but music was a mixed bag with a lot of mediocre sets (Excision playing house, Joyryde just bad compared to EDC) and I was like, eh. Some good ones like W&W, Dombresky, as well as Zeds Dead were great sets, though I felt like the sets were good because of the people in it. A lot of people in this have been very good but the bad ones like Joyryde had thieves and pickpockets that ruined the mood. One of my friends had her wallet nearly stripped by some girl and it's very unpleasant having to worry about his here. If you don't want to get stuff stolen, use a fanny pack or spibelt and put your phone there. It's much harder to steal. Stages: Compared to EDC or Hard Summer, NOS is much smaller than both and you can walk from one side to the other in only 5 minutes. My complaint is that the stages are too claustrophobic. The tents feel too hot and enclosed, while the only redeeming stage is the Chopping Block, or the half Cylinder stage. Visually the stages consist of lots of practical effects like lasers, strobe lights, or the face on the stage itself, but it hasn't really changed much from last year. Food: The chicken tenders and fries were good. I'll give them that. Uber: Getting in isn't hard, but getting out is kind of a headache. Note that you'll probably not find any 6 seater Uber's at the pickup spot, while 4 seats could take you anywhere from 15 minutes to a hour to pickup. It's pretty annoying since the pickup spot is almost 20 minutes of walking from escape. Staff: Mixed bag. A friend and I encountered a volunteer that was super nice while others were completely indifferent. Either put volunteers that are passionate to help and don't hire 3rd parties that couldn't give a damn! I saw a lot of staff funneling people through the entrance and no one bothered to open the fences more, leading to overcrowding at the exit. Overall it was okay, but I'll only go if the lineup next year is good.

Great event! I really liked the set up! There were lights all over the place, high on the trees! The snake heads were pretty cool and warm as they blew out fire up in the sky. There was good music the only thing that I didn't like was that it was soooooo packed! Crazy packed! I went on Saturday which was already sold out and that day they opened up more ticket sales on a sold out day?!?! It was pretty hard to walk around anywhere and the tents were so congested which pretty much was a downer for me and many people. Also the drinks were over priced and I got more ice than anything, so kind of hard to have a good time that way. How about some more drink for my ice next time?

Think Alice in Wonderland in real life but without Alice. You get their version of the characters, not the Disney characters, but it is still fun and great to see, especially the rabbit. This year they added a special guest, the star from Carl's Jr.. This event is massive with about 6 stages ranging from all types of music. It is a good idea to check out a set from each stage and find something new to get into. Each stage is beautiful in its own way, and each has its theme, and the pyros cater to the music. This particular insomniac event has a lot of side quests, so be sure to enter thru random doors and go down some rabbit holes; you'll find secrets, including a bazaar and special character meets. I always opt for VIP; it has its own perks, priority entrance, its own bar and food areas, private VIP air-conditioned restrooms, couches, freebies, a beauty and salon area, and a private viewing area for each stage, which is a huge plus. The highlight for VIPs is the resting spots, which we know us 30+ ravers really need. This rave is wonderful, but not everything is perfect. This rave attracts influencers and many non-plural people, which can ruin the experience for people. They can push, be rude, and even steal, and of course the location is not the greatest, and if you're parked in the wrong area, you will have your car broken into. So stay safe and only park in designated spots. Other than that, have fun.

I will say it was helpful to have free parking and have frequent shuttles available to get to the venue. The decorations and lights were pretty great, and definitely enhanced the experience. I will say navigating the festival was a bit tough, and I wish there was better signage. Although, there were maps and the app, there were times I struggled to locate a specific stage or ended up walking in the wrong direction. I liked the variety of food and drink vendors, although prices are pretty steep. $25 before tip for a cocktail is a little too high. The security at the main entrance seemed a little too relaxed, as they didn't care to check bags and just waved people through and I thought that was concerning. However, it was encouraging to see a good amount of staff around the event and that was reassuring. My friend and I opted to get VIP, and it was nice to access the VIP area and get access to slightly better restrooms. Although, the lines were long. VIP area also had some great views of the main stage but it was quite crowded. Also, it was nice to see some fireworks around midnight and take in all the lights & sights. Also, I wish there was more seating available. Lots of attendees ended up sitting and resting on the ground/grassy areas, which made it a bit challenging to navigate after different sets. The exit at the end of the night was overly crowded and difficult to get through. I was not a fan of having to walk in a huge crowd and then stand in line for 40 minutes for a shuttle to the parking area. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Beyond, but was not a fan of the venue. Possibly worth attending again mainly for the music, headliners, vibes, and various photo opps.

Outside they played music that I would've listened to. I was inside for the most part cus I was cold af but a couple drinks in and the weather outside wasn't that cold after all lol.. My first drink I asked for the lady bartender to make me a mixed drink with tequila in it. I wasn't specific on what kind of tequila & mind u it was NOT busy at the time.. it was still early like 9pm type shit. She already looked annoyed. Made me the drink and I asked how much. She says $11. I gave her a $20 and instead of giving me my change, she just looks at me and closes the register. Uh mam?! Really? I assumed she wanted her tip, but that's not what u do. How rude. I was gonna give her a tip but not my whole change WTH. Koo u have that. The drink was too sweet and barely tasted like any tequila was in there anyway. I ended up just ordering from the guy bartender the whole night and he got all my $5 tips and wasn't light handed on the liquor neither when I was buying double shots of casa migos! Great service on his end!! Overall this is a nice place to get together wit ya girls or even wit ya mans n have some drinks and have a goodass time!

The bathrooms were nicer than I expected. I heard they recently did a renovation and I thought expanding the lobby was a great idea. We saw the ballroom area on the second floor and wow, what a cool space that is. I had a few concerns though which I thought negatively affected my experience. During intermission I couldn't figure out why there was such a hold up exiting the theatre. Yes there were a number of older patrons who walked slow or with walkers, but that is totally fine. When I exited the auditorium I saw this HUGE bottle neck of the men's bathroom line, elevator line, people exiting the theatre and people entering the theatre... and to top it all off... they put the refreshment bar right there. OMG... it was so frustrating and such a bottleneck. I'd consider moving the refreshment bar to the main lobby area which seem to be much more spacious and give more room for the auditorium doors. While I thought the bathrooms were unexpectly large and spacious but there were some concerns I had. The line to the men's bathroom went well into the lobby, but the door needed to be handled by every person in line. I think a door stop might help to prop the door open and so not everyone had to touch the door. Every single person (hopefully) is washing their hands - but with a manual on/off lever, it just stalled the sink line. And, it made a mess with everyone's wet hands handling the faucet lever and walking to the paper towel dispenser. I think they could speed up the line and make less congeston by using automatic on/off faucets. This is what the Pantages recently did and it was a game changer. Same goes with the paper towel dispenser. Everyone had to wave their hand to get the towels to dispense. Ugg, it was sooooo slow. I'd much prefer the towel dispensers which would automatically dispense a towel immediately when one is ripped off. And, worst part, with just 2 dispensers in the men's bathroom, there was one that was not working with dead batteries. OMG... that should be a priority to check before opening the house. In many ways this is just inexcusable.
