The room was very well laid out and the clues and solutions were clever and challenging enough to be fun but not so difficult that we needed to ask for a lot of help. Beau was friendly, helpful, and gave us the amount of help to make it fun but not to take away from the experience. Three of us were first timers at escape rooms and that was not a problem at all. This was a pretty good escape room. I did the cabin room and had a great time, especially with a large group. It was a moderately challenging room, but was by no means the most difficult room I've ever done -- we finished in 40 minutes. Jake, who met us when we checked in, was kind and straightforward with the rules. We only used on clue (for a really dumb reason) throughout the room but, I bet if we had needed more, he would've been super helpful. Not the worst escape room I've ever been too... It's the runner up. Everything is a lock! The entire process is just opening one lock to help you unlock the next lock. A dozen different locks, so when you get a code, you have to try it on every applicable lock. Plus, the room is littered with poorly laminated signage telling you about all the things you can't interact with. And when you can interact with something, it's usually falling apart. Basically, there is zero immersion. All in all, it's less disappointing, and more sad. Feels like a cash grab taking advantage of their lack of competition. read more

This 'adventure' was more frustrating than enjoyable. For first timers, nothing was included to help us get started. When the team called for a 'clue' they were not helpful. When our hour was over and we were shown the process that the team was never able to figure out, it was clear that it was way more complicates than it should have ever been. Then we were told that only 17% ever figure it out. How is that supposed to be fun? We also said that the fonts were difficult to read in Old World English, and the guy agreed that many people get 'tripped up' on it. Why woukd anyone know that there is a problem and continue to not fix it? Won't ever go there again. A waste of $120.00. read more

We LOVED this experience! Did "the cabin" and it did not disappoint. Our group of four was aged 9-70 and there was something for everyone. Theme was fun! Puzzles aplenty! Difficulty was medium so just challenging enough but we could get thru it with 52 seconds to spare! Host was amazing and the clues were given perfectly as needed. So many fun and clever touches. For most of us, this was our first escape room experience. Upon arrival, we ascended the stairs and entered the waiting area, which set the mood with pale light. Our hostess then appeared, giving us good instructions to prepare for the experience. We were given a locker to put our personal items in (no phones!) and then led to the door where the experience began. We've been sworn to secrecy (why ruin it?) but suffice to say it was a very challenging contest and some thing for everyone to participate. Some challenges were solved as a team, while others were bested by a single person. In the end we solved the challenge with just a few minutes to spare. The hostess was fantastic. She gave just enough hints to keep us focused on our efforts, and made the experience memorable. This may be Leavenworth's only escape room, but it leaves little to be desired. We really enjoyed our time at Escape Tactics. It was our first time ever doing an Escape room. We did The Cabin. Unfortunately we didn't finish in time, but the fun was in the putting clues together and spending time together. Jake who was our room master was very helpful and explained the way the room worked without giving too much away. We talked about it all through dinner after we were done. My wife and I gave this to our daughter and future son in law for their birthdays, and we tried The Cabin. We solved it with seconds to spare! We enjoyed it so much that they want to do it as a family birthday tradition, and we'll be tackling Das Boot here in a few more months. Anyway, if you try The Cabin be sure to ask the Game Master about a magnetic key you have to retrieve! He has a very entertaining war story and it is Need To Know information for when you get it out of its... container... We dropped it! So much fun. The entrance into this place leave a little to be desired because parking is hard to find and then its located upstairs (above the waffle place). It's a little dark, not much room to sit in the waiting area and very much reminded me of a sauna. So ambiance is lacking BUT the game was so much fun. This escape room was very average, especially for the price. My husband and I paid $111 plus tax to do the Cabin room, which was the price for 3 people (the minimum). I wish they would allow 2 people to do it and price that lower, but it is understandable that they want a minimum of three for it to be worth the hour. It was in a kind of grungy upstairs apartment and only had one room. I won't go into detail about what is in the room, but there was a couple cool ideas, but overall a few things were VERY repetitive and the room wasn't very fun. There were too many of certain things and not a lot of variety. The employee working was very friendly and good to talk to. I have done a lot of other nicer and more fun escape rooms for less than this. I have paid $42 a person for escape rooms (this was $37/average for the three people), but it had multiple rooms, high tech, and had a ton of variety and fun stuff. read more

This place did not disappoint!! We really don't care for Escape rooms that don't "make sense".
