My husband and I with our two kids (8 yo and 6 yo) experienced this room tonight. Dave was our host and the owner (who was awesome and friendly as can be!) probably felt for us as our kids were most likely not going to help in solving the problems and clues - yes we knew they were a bit too young, but why not start them early?!? You definitely need a minimum of four people as you will need to spread out and take all areas in smaller groups. My husband and I loved it. The clues, the puzzles and the theme/room props were extremely fun and nostalgic. We appreciate the kid friendliness of the room as well - probably good for age 10 and up! Great room if you haven't done one or have done several. We would go again, do another room, Dave! Our kiddos walked out of there saying how much fun the room was, thanks for making their first escape room a memorable one. read more

I've done escape rooms all around the world (I lost count after 30) and was pleasantly surprised when my friends and I were in Hood River and had a few hours in the evening before our rafting trip. We decided to look for an escape room and I thought, "This can't be any good...it is in the middle of nowhere" but I was surprised. Dave and his son really made use of the space and for a low-tech escape room the "wow" moments were still memorable. We had a team retreat to Hood Rivier and decided to do the escape room. What an awesome experience for all first timers. Dave was friendly and helpful and friendly in guiding us through when we were stuck without giving anything away. It was challenging and rewarding. A great team building experience. We are Team Babymingo - a family of five and we absolutely loved our adventure at Escape the Hood! For 4 of us, this was our first escape room. Didn't know what to expect and had no idea how much fun we would have. Man, that hour went by quickly! But we solved it! Hooray! Yes, it was difficult and with a minute and a half to go, we were sure we wouldn't make it. 26 seconds to spare. Cutting it close! We'll certainly be back when you have a new room and now we're looking for escape adventures wherever we travel. Fun family outing!! read more

This is a fabulous experience! 10 of us came here on a family trip. We ranged in age from 11 to 74, and everyone had an awesome time. The staff was fabulous, the puzzles were challenging in a really fun way, and we all felt really good at the end once we had solved it. A tough one but a good one! I've completed a few escape rooms in the area and this one is by far the trickiest. Went with a group of 5 and we had a total blast. Dave and Dana have created quite the room. A must when you've got some time to kill in the Hood. read more

Excellent experience! We were first timers doing an escape room and we can't wait to do another escape room again! Very welcoming service and perfectly challenging experience. We were so happy to have shared this activity as a family. Escape The Hood is definitely worth it! I can't wait until he opens up the next room! This was my first escape room experience and it was honestly the most fun I've ever had! Dave was hilarious and helped make the experience fantastic. We had a group of 4 and were very close to finishing the puzzle but unfortunately ran out of time. Once they come up with their next escape room I will definitely be coming back to try it because that was without a doubt the best experience I've had with trying something new. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone read more
