Unfortunately the course does not honor an industry standard of comping other course employees, or at a minimum, charge an industry standard reduced fee. They are a great facility and offer a very enjoyable experience but if they say that other courses do not offer their employees comped rounds, so they won't , they are absolutely lying. I'm hoping they eventually see this and can admit they were wrong and publicly respond by telling everyone they can and will offer comped rounds to other courses employees. We know for a fact, their reason for not comping rounds is due to others not doing it, is false. read more

Good golf course for $100 with a cart on a Friday. It plays pretty short from the whites. Maybe next time I might play the blacks. The course is in pretty good condition. Be sure to leave the cart on the cart path near the tee boxes or else some regular there will tell you can't drive on a par 3. I guess the regulars own that course. I was surprised on a 90 degree day there was not cart drink gal on the course. Such a nice place and you would think they could afford a golf cart drink gal on the course. read more

Indian Creek is an amazing course. I found it challenging and well maintained course. Rented a golf cart..loved the GPS and timer,new experience for me. The staff that run the pro shop are extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. My overall experience at this golf course was wonderful. Drive over from Portland was beautiful as the Gorge is always beautiful but the scenery on this course is so incredible . If you are not having your best game the scenery make up for it. Views are as good as they get. Greens are fast. Bartender was less than hospitable, but they let us keep the cart out way past time, so I'll give em 5 stars. Would highly recommend this course! read more

They've got marshals on the course, but to my estimation, they don't do much. I've been living in the area 3 years now and maybe enjoyed 3-4 games under 4 hours in that time. It's mind numbingly slow. The course is beautiful and challenging, but impossible to enjoy with 3 minutes between shots. read more

We are first-time players to Indian Creek and have nothing but positives to say about the course. Beautiful, well maintained, picturesque, and challenging. With only a Sunday bag of clubs and paired with a father/son who were also first-timers, we had fun. Divots restaurant was a perfect spot after the round. read more

Definitely a fun yet challenging course. The only gripe is that the tournament being held that same morning as my tee time ran much longer than they anticipated. We had to wait just under an hour past our reserved tee time. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience. I will probably play there again, but not for a little while. read more

Indian Creek is an amazing local golf course with great views. The course is pretty open and friendly. The greens can reflect some tour stops in mid summer making it fun but challenging. Make sure you plan on staying for lunch, Divots is a great spot for grub. read more

Played Indian Creek for the first time today. Got a deal on Groupon, so took advantage of it. Our group took carts which is probably advantageous, since there are some hills and many adventuresome trails between greens and tees. The course winds it's way through apple/pear orchards, some houses and tree lined fairways. Views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams are in abundance. Several ponds and a meandering creek add to the beauty of this course. Today was a nice day - warm with a rather persistent west wind (which I understand is not the normal direction). The course is well marked and carts have informational books showing the hole layout and various yardages. It is well maintained with excellent fairways and greens. Course seems to be rather forgiving with very playable rough and generous fairways. There are a few blind holes that need to be scoped out before hitting your shot. All in all, a great course. O, I shouldn't forget the pro shop staff. They are somewhat friendly, though a happier demeanor by the guy behind the desk might be appreciated by most people. read more

#3 - Count on your eyes lighting up as you take in the distance of this par 4 on your scorecard. 291 yards. Almost as certainly, count on yourself asking, "How could something that seemed so right, turn out to be so wrong?" as you head off the green. Your first mistake was hitting the fairway, where level lies are just a rumour. Beyond that, your approach has to shave very close by a towering ponderosa pine to access the elevated green. If you play far out to the right, you'll not only find level ground, but also light rough and no tree impediments. But should your approach hit the slightest bit left of the green, it will have nothing to stop it from rolling all the way down a slick slope and into marsh grasses. From there, chipping back to the green requires needlework through a series of trees. read more

Great golfing! Their driving range is small ground level and awesome when it's not crowded. At the 18th hole you made it to the patio out back of the clubhouse with views of Mt Hood. They have a big fountain and kid friendly putting green. Such beautiful surroundings. Sunset there is really nice. We took our family visiting from out of town there and still have some nice photos. Played in a tournament here, they wait to announce result till the next day. When she started announcing the winners I was confused because she said Flight 3 Flight 2 Flight 1 and I was unaware of flights since I wasn't asked nor was it on the tournament sign up. So I simply called to get an explanation and had the misfortune of talking to Jessica. First, she was unable to explain how they flighted their tournament and had to call me back. When she called back she still couldn't explain it then told me "DON'T GET YOUR FEELINGS HURT" WOW. I was shocked and knew then there was no point in continuing the conversation as all I wanted was to know was how they flighted the tournament. It's a nice course I would suggest paying online and staying far away from the club house staff. Also was told I had first tee time for tournament then had to play behind personal friends of the club and guess what ... that's the team that won lol. read more

Terrific local golf course that is well manicured from tee to green. There are a number of interesting holes particularly the Par 4 3 hole. The course plays a little on the short side, 6150 yd but with tight fairways and several holes with blind second shots, this course can play tough especially if the wind is up. The club house has a nice warm feeling to it with attentive staff and good food. The assistant pro Matt is a gem. Excellent value for your money. read more

I've enjoyed a round here several times over the years. Nice course and staff. The reason for the low rating is due to the round that my golf buddy experienced this past Saturday afternoon. We breezed through the first 3 holes then we caught up with a foursome of 2 guys and what I assume was their daughters. The girls looked to be around 7. On holes 4 & 5 after watching the girls struggle to eventually get the ball to the green, they took plenty of time lining up the putt, with help from their dads. It took them 7-8 putts to eventually hole in and then the jumped up and down and danced around the green. We just kept waiting and eventually several groups were backed up behind us. When we FINALLY reached the 9th hole my buddy was so tired of waiting he just walked off the course. Seemed to reach his boiling point when one of the girls was around 300 yards out and with dad's instruction kept hitting her ball about 10 yards but only when she eventually connected. Is there an age restriction on this course? Who would ever take a 7 year old out on an upscale course and constantly give them instructions on lining up and hitting their shot either on the green or fairway? I've raised 2 daughters and have introduced them to the game but there is a place to do that and it's not on an upscale course where there is an expectation to know the game. By all means take them to a par 3. Teach them not just how to hit the ball but also about the rules of the game. One of the least enjoyable rounds that I've ever played and I get out on a regular basis. And no I'm not just a cranky old guy. Just someone who enjoys the game and has some minimal expectations when paying a full price to play on a nice course. read more

Golfed there last weekend. Great condition but leafs hid the ball quite well. Do not leave anything behind in you golf cart because you will never get it back! I left my range finder in the cart called back to have them grab it for me and they could find it. Hmmmm. read more

Okay, now that I have moved to the Hood I have played this course several times now and I have to raise my rating. It is by far the best course in the Gorge. I have only had great golf. I also think Tyson the manager is committed to customer service and I personally appreciate that. read more

Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River is a fantastic golf course including challenging holes and breathtaking views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, not to mention scenic views of the Hood River Valley. Pro shop service is excellent from both Greg and Matt. The grounds crew does a fabulous job and the greens are kept in impeccable shape. At the end of your round, "Divots" restaurant at the clubhouse offers delicious food and local microbrews on tap. After a rewarding round of golf, you can enjoy views of Mt. Certainly the best golf option in the gorge but the driving range is highway robbery. The range balls are old, water logged, chipped, nicked and generally pathetic...and a large bucket that spherical trash is $10! For that price they could buy a fresh batch with a weekend of sales. read more

We played the course today as a twosome. A beautiful and busy day. They let a five locals go out just before noon knowing they would end up together. They held up the whole course. When we were finishing 9 2 locals jumped ahead, not of the 5some, but of the next 4some. which held us up some more. The pro shop could care less. The golf course makes no effort to enforce proper golf etiquette. It has just become the locals playground. We drove 2 hours to play a decent course that makes no effort to show signs of professional management. These golfers should have been thrown off the course. Instead I received a 9 hole rain check. A 4 hour round only if no local yokels happen to be around. read more

I give the course 2 stars for the course itself. It was beautiful, challenging and in excellent condition. We played 2 foursomes . . the men against the women . . best ball scramble . . all experienced golfers and all siblings and our spouses. The men tee'd off first. It was a pretty busy Saturday and the men's team had to wait many times throughout the 18 holes to tee off, but generally speaking the game moved along smoothly. There were two young gentlemen following the women, who we asked 2 times throughout the 18 holes if they would like to play through and both times they said no, they were in no hurry. Now comes the reason for only 2 stars. The marshal followed us (the women) around the course pushing us to move along faster from about the 3rd hole on. We honestly stayed up with the men the entire 18 holes with the exception of 2 holes out of the 18 when we lagged behind a hole due to bad play (yes we've ALL had 'em), and then we would catch up again. By the last hole we were waiting back for the men to finish putting. And . . these men are all scratch golfers. The marshal was rude, condescending and finger pointing. I have never experiences this kind of attitude from a marshal before, nor had any of my family members. By the way, between the 8 of us, we payed $600 in green fees to play the course and have that experience of a fun and relaxing afternoon of golf . . . which the marshal managed to ruin for us. Obviously won't be going back! read more
