Lester surveyed Monday afternoon, and scheduled removal of 11 trees (8 of which were more than 100 feet tall) for the next day. Lester was a pleasure to work with. He's very seasoned, explain the process, and provided a quote on the spot. I booked the service for the very next day. The crew of ~six arrived on time, with multiple vehicles and equipment, and the job took about 8 hours. When they left, you couldn't tell (except for the missing trees), that anything had been done. I think my yard and street were cleaner than when they arrived. When moving debris in my side yard, they also cleared trees that had previously fallen. As promised, they came back the next day and ground the stumps in my front yard. They have the expertise, the personnel and the equipment to do any job. Alan and Mike were very pleasant, answered my frequent questions, and it was a pleasure watching the process and meeting them. Their pricing was very reasonable. Seen someone who works for or possibly owns this company today in my neighborhood. We have a lot of…read moreissues with people not realizing the streets we live on are city streets. People just pay no attention to the law and do as they please. Today while going home I noticed the truck blocking a very obviously marked space where there is a fire hydrant. Anytime I leave or exit the neighborhood I stop and try to let ppl know if they are violating HOA or city rules as a courtesy and check around the pool to make sure there is no loitering that needs reported to the hoa or leo. Sometimes I will call the non emergency # to let local authorities know as I am disabled/retired and do not currently work. Today I stopped to let the gentleman know he was blocking a hydrant with literally the whole rest of the street open to park that was not blocking it. Instead of moving the vehicle he sat there and said he has been parking there for 5 years. Well in my neighborhood the sign has only been there for about 6 months but they have been placed there because of this exact reason, ppl like this young man who apparently don't think laws apply to them and can do as they please but then will be the first ones to become upset if they get cited. I should have just called the non emergency number and informed authorities but in an attempt to be neighborly and friendly I decided to just let them know hey you are parking in an area we are having issues with ppl parking. In a 20 minute time frame from the first time I drove by on the way to my house until the time I left back out of the neighborhood no attempts to move were made. While I did not contact local Leo I did let them know they were in front of the sign and blocking the hydrant and everything in my vehicle is always recorded because I have front and rear facing cameras for safety. In every single state across the USA it is illegal to block fire hydrants and it costs fire departments valuable time trying to access them in case of fire.......No grown ADULT should have to be told not to block a fire hydrant. This shows bad character in the fact that they know they are doing something wrong but because they think they won't be caught it's rationalized as being ok. Next time instead of being friendly I will just call the non emergency number and be that guy. Just because you are in a neighborhood doesn't mean you are not expected to follow rules. Most neighborhoods have city streets and literally come on, this is stuff you learn in elementary school, DON'T BLOCK FIRE HYDRANTS. They could have easily parked where I took this photo from but instead as you see blatant disregard for the sign that says NO PARKING HERE ANYTIME and the YELLOW HYDRANT right beside the vehicle. I guess this doesn't apply to ppl working lawncare. I have two teens that just started driving and people like this set a horrible example. Simply being a good citizen and doing what is right would have prevented this review. Literally a truck with the business name on the side blatantly blocking a hydrant. What kind of example does this set? Live right even in the dark!!!!!
