Lovely place to walk around for the afternoon, great variety and kind/accommodating staff. Have had some fantastic finds here.

It has been a while since my last review. I've been back twice and both times the staff are STILL rude. They don't welcome you in or say goodbye when you leave (even after I said "have a good day!" as I left, they just ignored me) and while shopping they follow you around. While this may seem like a bit of a reach, and maybe other have had better experiences, it just feels that if you are youngish, or look young, they just treat you with no respect. As for the selection, while it is large, almost EVERY booth charges way too much for their stuff, which is frankly a lot of junk, but with "vintage" slapped on it to bump up the price. There are some other consignment stores on Grand with both vintage and handmade stuff which are all better priced and actually have nice staff. It's a shame because at one point I felt this store was a cool place to spend a decent amount of time in, but with the staff, and the fact that "vintage" = expensive, I just don't recommend this place at all. read more

This place is massive. You can find a lot of unique items from different vendors. Prices are affordable. Customer service is great. You could easily spend hours here looking through all their items. read more

Seems like if we find the right Antique store we enjoy visiting. Sometimes you can spot things you've seen in your childhood or of another era like the movie Somewhere in time. This shop was enormous with many vendor cases. Some sections were 20-50 % off. The evening bag I decided to buy reminded me of My Fair Lady. I will use it tonight when we go to a dinner show. Hope it lasts a few times at least. They even had two sections of Hawaiian aloha shirts- I saw hubs looking but he didn't buy anything. read more

Decent selection and the staff was friendly. I am a mid-century Christmas collector and vintage Fiesta collector. I found very little Christmas in the shop and the vintage Fiesta that was there was priced astronomically (no fault of the mall itself), just an observation. I'd visit again next time I'm in the area. I love seeing the progress being made in the downtown Escondido area. read more

They completely seal their CDs making it impossible to verify the condition of the CD before purchase. Make sure to check that there is a CD in the case and that it isn't chipped before leaving. I unfortunately wasted $10 on empty CD cases and can't go back to the store for a refund due to distance. read more

No issues with the store itself, as it has everything you'd expect from an antique store- silverware, typewriters, records, old McDonald's toys, etc. The challenge is with many of the consignment booth prices. There are many things that are egregiously overpriced. For example, there is a unicycle that appears to have been kept outside and has a flat tire. I checked online and could get the exact same model, brand new, for less than they were charging. I understand that booth owners can charge whatever they like, but just make sure you have your phone with you so you can check if it is a good deal or not! read more

Super unwelcoming vibe here. No hello, no acknowledgement, no have a good day. One of their vendors in the front of the store was selling racist black caricature dolls. What a horrible thing to sell for profit and should be donated to museums. That just rubbed me the wrong way and made me think there was a deeper meaning as to why my presence as a customer was not acknowledged. I doubt they would care but I will never step foot in here again. read more

This place has everything and more, huge selection of old items. If you like items from a past era, this is the place.

The couple of times that I've visited the store the customer service is nothing to talk about. No greet as you walk in just a stare by the two female employees. Since I walked in with a friend I felt I needed to brush off the negativity vibe and poor customer service and move along throughout the store. You will find booths that offer an array of items or some that focused on one thing. I enjoy looking at things people have collected and sometimes find things to add to my own collection. My first visit to the store I found a vintage lunch tray. Since I had worked in a school kitchen and also had been in a mess hall (military eating area) I found this particular tray to be interesting just with the color alone. Some areas of the store can be quite narrow so proceed with caution. Plenty to see/find. There is a restroom if one is needed. If you don't mind getting the stare down with no greet as you walk into the business and like to check out vintage and interesting items this is could be a stop for you. This was my first time in this store and it was an amazing experience! I enjoy vintage items and thrifting so this was up my alley. The staff were warm and welcoming. They are eager to help which is great considering how deceivingly MASSIVE this place is. In spite of the store being so huge, it is also organized, clean and orderly. It seems like each "section" is a different vendor. Some vendors offer sales and discounts that differ from other sections so pay attention to any signs. One can easily spend hours just looking at items but also experiencing the history and care of each item. The love, care and story emanates from particular pieces. The Antique Mall is so appropriately named and worth a gander whether you are a local or visiting from out of town. The prices seem fair depending on the item. I enjoy vinyls and The Escondido Antique mall has a great collection to choose from at reasonable prices! This place is a must see, you may even leave with a piece of history! read more

Decided to visit this place during our vacation in San Diego. We almost didn't stop by due to the distance from the Naval Base, where our son is attending school, which would have been a major mistake. We live in Florida, which is the antique capital of the world, but have not found anything of interest in quite some time. We were greeted upon entry and offered multiple opportunities for assistance. Great Customer Service! This place has something for everyone. We even walked away with two hurricane candle holders and a frosted Lead Crystal Vase with silver/brass base. They gave us a discount on both and we have not been this pleased with a purchase in a while. I would recommend you take the time and make the trip! read more

After lunch on Grand Ave. with friends a couple weeks ago. We decided to hit the Escort Antique Mall to search for vinyl. I am not a fan of the older stuff - always get creepy vibes, but I had a great time - thanks to Linda. She made me laugh at myself when I was going on about evil spirits. RACIAL PROFILING in 2025 - Shameful Behavior If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My wife and sister-in-law went into the Escondido Antique Mall today, and what happened was absolutely disgusting. Both are Asian. Both are full-blooded sisters with the same mom and dad. The ONLY difference? My wife has darker skin. While browsing, an older woman working there looked my wife up and down and told her she had to leave her purse at the front desk. Sounds like a policy? WRONG. My wife and sister-in-law noticed that every other customer was walking around with their purses freely--no one else was stopped, no one else was questioned. This was racial profiling plain and simple. Targeting someone because of the color of their skin is not just bad business--it's disgusting. Shame on this place for singling out paying customers, humiliating them, and making it crystal clear they judge people by appearance. We will NEVER spend a dime here again, and I hope others think twice before supporting a business that treats people this way. Discrimination has no place in our community. read more

Accessibility: the store is wheelchair accessible, but there are some sections you cannot go into because they are too small/thin. Experience: this is my favorite antique store ever. I have been here probably 30 times in the last couple years and I love it every time. The store is HUGE inside and there is an endless amount of things to look at. Each section is owned by a different person so you will see some sections of the store selling antique jewelry, some clothes, furniture, kitchen utensils, signs, records, toys, clocks, everything! I'm giving this place two stars only because the cashier was nice. Went in to check this place out. My son is about eleven not a baby.. He likes to look at antiques and just likes to see things that were used back in the day. We came in and not even five minutes later an elderly man that was working there kept staring at my son and not in a nice way. Almost as if my son might break something. I get that little ones might grab something and drop it but my kid was not little and wasn't touching anything that was porcelain or glass as to that was the first thing I asked of him not to do as we walked inside the store. He was being polite and careful. We felt so unwelcomed not sure if we will be back. As I mentioned before cashier was nice but not this guy. read more

This is one of my favorite antique stores. You can browse for hours! It's next to John Paul the Great University on Grand Street in Escondido, but it feels like you've stepped back in time somewhere in a small town. Yesterday I bought two John Denver records, some KLM Amsterdam collectible homes, a stacking Santa doll for my grandchild, and a beautiful ceramic pumpkin trivet made in Italy. Love this antique mall for all the variety of items displayed. Prices *are* on the higher end so keep that in mind. There are plenty of knick knacks and small collectibles if you aren't looking to blow hundreds of dollars. Staff has always been friendly towards us. The booths and walkways are pretty tight so I prefer to go during the weekdays when it's easier to browse. This store definitely gave the impression it was like mall there were multiple sections to check out and very organized too! A lot of classy products which makes you reflect on the individual manufactures of past times that made all these products. After a hearty brunch at Champion's, my Mom and I perused Grand Street and spent most of our afternoon at the Escondido Antique Mall. The store is packed to the gills with anything to suit your fancy, and the prices are really reasonable. I had my eye on a French art deco cabinet, borrowed a measuring tape from the gal at the register to size it up, but decided to think about it... Two weeks later I was back with Chun P. in tow doing some Mother's day shopping and decided to have a look around again. Well, wouldn't you know it, the cabinet was still there! Chun P. seemed to like it too, and the price was right. My sister was shopping in downtown Esco, dropped by and helped us load it into the car. (While very kind, the gals working at Escondido Antique Mall are not in furniture-moving shape). While Chun P. hustled the cabinet out on a dolly, the gals wrapped up the glass shelves in paper for safe transport home. Before we left, my sister ended up buying a really random book of Martha Stewart paper dolls for our Mom for Mother's Day. It was some weird parody paper doll book from back in the day that had a couple of Martha Stewart bodies and a hilarious assortment of outfits and weird comments, "Beds aren't just for making..." and stuff like that. While I ended up buying my mom a gift certificate for a spa day - she got for more enjoyment from that damn Martha Stewart paper doll book that set my sis back $5! Ugh. Very devastated. I've lived in Escondido my entire life and I have come here over the years and I have had negative experiences with some of the staff members over the years. But nothing too crazy. Well this place always always has old trains/train sets and I have a little brother who LOVES old trains and collects them. So he asked me if I could please take him to the Escondido antique store to look for some trains. My little brother has Autism he is on the spectrum. We went and I walked in the door and immediately had a whole bunch of eyes on us and not in a normal welcome to the store kind of way, my little brother went straight down the right side of the store and I was looking at the stalls on the right as I'm walking with him and I stop him because I spotted something I liked. I grab it and I grabbed a book as well. At the end of the aisle where you curve around to get to the other side was a man standing there and I said hello with a smile and I'm also trying to keep up with my brother and the man looks at me and asks "do you want me to hold that's stuff at the front for you?" I was so caught off guard not knowing if he was a employee or just another customer(he was standing there arms crossed almost like he was waiting for us) that I said "Sure" and handed him my things. He then said "Do you want me to hold anything else?" And I held my arms open and I said "No????" Because I wasn't carrying anything else and neither was my brother. Mind you my brother has a bright blue powerpuff girl tshirt on a powerpuff mini backpack, tiedye socks on and a tiedye hat with Mickey Mouse on it. I don't know of very many thieves that walk around with that on. We made it to the far right side of the store and here comes an employee we walk into a stall and Oop there goes another one walking by. My brother found a train and we make it up to the front... and they are close to closing maybe 45mins to closing and all the employees are at the front of the store at the register. Including the ones that were following us. I had to pay for things separately. Im getting rung out and the cashier types in the Info on the pin pad/keypad and she asks "does it tap?" I said "Yes" she accidentally types in the invoice number and is saying "okay tap it tap it just tap the card" and I say "Not for $2,000 I'm not tapping the card" at this point I'm being stared at by many of the employees at the front... my total was $34 dollars not $2000 dollars I kind just laugh it off and move on to pay for my brother's train set which cost almost $140 plus what I got almost adds up to $200. The items I found I am gifting because when I saw them I immediately thought of someone and that's the beauty of places like this.. and like I mentioned I've popped in here over the years but I will never be back in all honesty if my little brother didn't want his train so badly I would've just walked out. Because I felt profiled and it is a terrible feeling and I wanted to say something but not with my brother there nope. I wasn't going to write a review I just kind of left it alone and just decided I'm never going back and never going to recommend this place to anyone especially if you are a person of color. I went on the reviews to check them out and went through the bad ones and saw some between yelp and Google saying that they felt the same way. And you wanna know what we all have in common... a Hispanic name or last name... I hate when my mind jumps to this conclusion because I don't like to assume bad in people especially people who are working trying to just make a living. We decided to ride up the I-15 today and brave traffic in order to do some antiquing. The Escondido Antique Mall is centrally situated downtown Esco, and we found street parking easily. The selection was copious, the prices were fair, staff was on hand to assist quickly, and I have no complaints. One of the things I picked up was a Nambe' candle holder in very good condition for about $17.00.....I consider that a good get! This is a fine place to do some advanced level searchin' and purchasin'. Will likely be back, sooner than later. read more

Went in on a Monday afternoon with my friend who was looking to buy some fun items. It was nice until about two minutes in an elderly man comes up and asks if we need any case opened, we kinda declined and thanked him. Two minutes go by and he comes up and just stands and watches us looking at things. We move because we thought maybe he was looking for something. Less than five minutes later he takes a decal from my hand that I was planning on buying and says he's taking it to the front to "put it in the system" I told him I was still trying to decide. He ignored me and took it regardless. We circled the store and he was watching us the entire time, literally tilting his head to see what we were doing. I don't recommend coming by if you're just wanting to browse around.. I mean yeah if you don't mind being profiled. Just go to a thrift store and find your own treasures there, this place is a big NO. read more

I'm so thrilled I found this Antique shop....it's huge and carries a lot of inventory. I was on the look out for an antique highchair for my daughter to destroy her smash cake in at her first birthday party. I was really hoping to find a Jenny Lind style but I know those are hard to find so I was hoping for anything that I can customize to my liking. Deep in the corner of one of the booths, I saw a highchair singing out my name. It was not a Jenny Lind style but I quickly did a look over and it was perfect for what I was looking for. It was very sturdy too so I wouldn't have to do any repair work, just a cosmetic paint job. It was also missing a table but I figured I could either find a replacement online or jury-rig something together. For $19, I could not pass it up. I've gone numerous times since my big find and haven't found anything else but it's worth checking out whenever we're in the neighborhood. Lots of treasures to be found. ; ) read more

Really overpriced items and cashier didn't want to help to see if items were marked down in the booth. We went in to get records, found 3 which for sure aren't popular - just old and wanted to try to listen to them. The covers were really beat up and lightly scratched records. Total here would have been $56 on amazon brand new would have been $30. Delusional. read more

Different rooms to go through and find great treasures. The staff is miss and go. Sometimes you get some nice ones and at times the ladies there can be rude and short without provocation. Not sure why you work there if you are going to snap at people. Other than that, it's worth the visit. read more
