My daughter has been going here for a few months now, and all I can say is that the teachers are absolutely wonderful. She is 17 months old and had never been in daycare before, so it took us a little while to adjust, but everyone has been so patient, kind, and understanding throughout the transition. The staff truly care about the children and make them feel safe and comfortable. I've seen such positive growth in my daughter since she started -- she feels happy, secure, and excited to go each day. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing she is in such a nurturing and supportive environment. My son just started at KinderCare in Escondido and we are so happy with our experience so far. His teacher Ms Alexis has been amazing with helping him transition. She sends pictures and videos throughout the day along with updates on food and naps which gives me so much peace of mind. Every time I pick him up she takes the time to check in with me about his day and what they worked on. He has been to a couple of different daycares before and Ms Alexis has been the best teacher by far. She is very attentive with Finley and communicates with me better than anyone we have had before. I can tell he loves going to school because he is thriving. He is already writing his name, tracing and naming letters, recognizing letters and numbers, counting better, and his speaking has improved so much. Grace the director and Madison the assistant director have also been wonderful. They both make KinderCare feel very welcoming and supportive. We just love it here and I know my baby is in good hands. We started Avery here around 6 months old and we just celebrated her first birthday! We absolutely love Escondido KinderCare as we have seen Avery thrive in the Infants room with Miss Jessica. They've made it easy for us in regards to breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, and transition to solids. Avery is now walking and will be transitioning to the Toddler room next week. They're great about communicating with parents, and they have passcodes at the doors to ensure only parents can enter the building. Other teachers will sub-in to the classroom when teachers go on breaks, which means that our daughter is able to get used to more familiar faces at school. I love that Avery enjoys going to school and gets to play with her friends! read more

We have been sending our son here for the past 3 years, and it's been nothing but an amazing experience. We've loved every one of his teachers, but Miss Vickey, Miss Star, and Miss Melissa have been our son's favorites. His verbal and motor skills are thriving, and he really cherishes his friendships with the kids that are in his class, so much so, we started planning trips, birthday parties, and holiday parties together. The school plans really fun events for the kids, bringing in outside educators such as the fire department, police staff, gymnastics teachers, yoga, etc. They also set up sensory activities for the kids and provide a seasonal curriculum so parents can stay up to date on what their little ones are learning. We moved to San Marcos a few months ago with our 2 children already in the KinderCare system. When we switched our kids into Escondido KinderCare it was amazing the staff was so nice and understanding especially my 4yo class. Miss Alexis is to driven not only to give my kids a safe environment, but a fun and challenging one as well. My kid has a take home folder for homework. I have been part of the KinderCare family Family for over 14 years! I have seen teachers come and go throughout the years, but I can truly say the teachers love what they do. Ms. Shannon has been at the center for at least the same amount of time we have. My oldest (now 16) would always talk about Ms. Shannon's love for Monster trucks and she still loves them! Now, I have a three-year-old that attends the center! His Teacher Ms. Star has been wonderful, he feels comfortable with her, and she has been detrimental in his potty training. She is always willing to listen and provides feedback when we've had anything going on with our son. They are starting a Phonics Adventure Program, which I am so excited to try out. My son went there for couple years wish I knew why he dressed coming in we would argue thinking no he's good nope he hated all except one teacher who left I feel So bad I put my son thru this place he's happier else where admin was great new admin is rude and not understanding they helped me until they didn't didn't give me but that day notice when bill was high a after multiple times asking old admin so I could pay it she kept telling me don't worry about it now they let my son not come oil but now I realize with his new school something was not right he was yelled and and mistreated he's now looking forward everyday to his new place and I believe that they do not treat my son of color fair he was having nightmare now have stopped the fighting to get up and go everyday has stopped ! This place is a huge problem and I feel bad for the kids stuck here all day because I witnessed the treatment sometimes my son would be petrified of some teacher and others cling to life for as he screamed help nooo don't leave but know I know something isn't right don't trust this place with ur precious cargo !!! read more

Do not trust this place my mom lives right behind this place and the teachers verbally abuse the kids and yell at them at the top of their lungs. I volunteer at preschools and the way the children cry here is unacceptable. I have reported the school, emailed and called with no response. Don't walk away from this place RUN!! This place is a nightmare the way the children are treated daily turns my stomach and makes it hard for me to even focus on what I am doing hearing the way they treat the children. If you truly want to make change you need to investigate your staff, be around and maybe install cameras. It is seriously a shame and you all should be embarrassed and disappointed. When I last reported the craziest teller teacher she was quieter for one day that's probably what is going to happen again after this review. All the teachers are involved and outside together and this behavior is the norm. The only time the terrible yelling gets less is right around pick up time how convenient. I want every parent that goes here to investigate them. If my child went here I would take my child out as soon as possible and run from this place. Please I am begging you to investigate your employees and staff the children deserve better. The maltreatment is awful and I will be recording the audio to submit to the local police department because I am tired of it. They yell at the children and have said things like I'm not going to give you water all day! The noise from a school or children playing is fine with me. I enjoy children. The teachers here do not and daily verbally abuse them screaming at the top of their lungs as children cry historically. I have had it with this and you all aren't doing anything so I will. I absolutely love Kindercare Escondido, my child has been enrolled since the age of 3 and is now nearing 9 years old the development, skills achieved, love and respect given, has always surpassed my expectations as a mother. I am beyond grateful for the teamwork of Amy & Jessi the directors here who always strive to make each day a perfect day for every family enrolled. I a Lm the lingering parent, I will stay and chat and although they're super busy they never make me feel guilty for not being ready to walk out of their building. It is a safe welcoming environment, each teacher hired has been nothing but amazing. Everyone is so easy to communicate with and makes you feel like a part of the family. As a new mom, the idea of leaving my baby at daycare when going back to work was pretty daunting. My husband and I had looked at a few places before calling KinderCare and spoke with the director Jennifer a few times before scheduling a visit. Just from our phone conversations I felt more at ease, but getting to meet her and the staff in person and see where my daughter would be all day really sold me on this being the right place for her. I won't pretend that the infant program isn't on the expensive side, but I 100% feel like we get what we pay for in terms of care. That alone is enough for my husband and I to justify the cost, but it doesn't hurt that Jennifer and the assistant director Amy are incredibly sweet and friendly and the infant teachers are extremely communicative and hands-on (shout out Ms. Jessica and Ms. Melissa). She really seems to enjoy her time there and I love that she gets to interact with other kids. Also, no bouncers or swings so she's getting lots of that beneficial floor play and tummy time kids her age need. I also really enjoy the app they have. I not only get daily reports of how my daughter is doing, but they post the cutest photos and videos of her. Center Director, Jennifer, does an amazing job communicating to the parents about everything going on at their center. When you call, you will most likely talk to her or Amy, Asst. Director. I believe that to be great service for a concerned parent. I show a picture of my son here having fun playing dress up. They provide daily pictures/videos of your child on their app, which is nice to see when you are missing them at work. I believe their prices are reasonable since they feed my child a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. They also don't charge me extra to change my son's diaper so potty training is not rushed. And there is no limit as to how many hours I can keep him there within their hours of operation. All I have to provide is a blanket for naptime, extra pair of clothes, diapers and wipes. Everything else is provided! My son started there at the beginning of November 2020. Before then, he had been cared for by his aunt and another local babysitter, so being near a lot of kids was a change for him. He warmed up to the new kids and staff within the week. Now, he goes in with a smile and comes out babbling about his day. He's 1.5 yo at this point in time of this review so no real words yet, but I believe he has definitely reached his milestones because of his amazing care done by the KinderCare Escondido staff. read more

My lack of stars is due to the sterile environment that resembled that of a hospital. They talk about their curriculum, but only provide children with 30 minutes outdoor play in the morning and then in the afternoon. Having my child inside a sterile looking environment is absolutely unacceptable. Their ratios for ages 2-3 are 12-1, which is in compliance with Sate Regulations but clearly is a corporate decision for profits. While a teacher is bringing a child to the bathroom or changing a child, that means 1 teacher is responsible for 23 children. If you review other commercial preschools, many highly rated schools have 4:1 ratios or at the very least 6:1 despite State Regulations. Yes their pricing is in line with higher end programs. As the owner and operator of a preschool, we spend 99% of our day outside where children can learn and discover. This is the most important part of child development to be connected in nature. Playing in a room with a few toys, white walls and old run down furnishings is completely unacceptable. read more

Our daughter, who is going on 5 years old, has been with Kindercare since she was 18 months old. We are extremely happy and satisfied with the level of care and education provided by this center. The entire staff from Director to Teachers are amazing with each and every child. I especially appreciated their constant communication to us parents about anything and everything pertaining to our little ones (especially during the past year with covid). Kindercare also offers an app where you get daily updates including adorable photos and videos. Nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack are provided, which make it so easy and convenient for me as a parent not having to pack and send food. Furthermore, their cirriculum is creative, interesting and challenging. However this place from my home I can hear a teacher adult voice yelling during outside playing verbally abusing and yelling at the children in a derogatory manner. In addition I hear them threaten the children. An example is they yell water break and if kids don't come the teacher will tell them she is not going to give them water phrasing it like a threat and she won't allow them to drink water. At this point I am concerned for the innocent children. I am a full time student and hear this behavior on a regular basis it's very sickening. I want parents to know this is how their children are being treated at this place when they are at work it breaks my heart because I am a mother and I would be upset if that was happening to my child. Please ask for your kids to be on video in class and outside for this facility I think you would be shocked on what you see. We moved our son to this location while our center closed due to COVID-19. With so much uncertainty we were very worried how our son would handle having new teachers and being at a new location. We could not be happier with the experience we had! The director Ms. Jennifer and Assistant Director Ms. Amy did everything they could to help make the first day as easy as possible and gave me tons of updates during the day. The 2 year old teacher Ms. Gracie is just wonderful as well! My son even made progress with potty training which was HUGE for him. After going back to our center our son still asks to go visit her. Two stars for the director who seemed sweet and for the infant room being pretty clean and decently equipped. We brought in our then 6 months old for the "few try out" hours. The teachers barely acknowledged me and I had to basically interrogate me them about everything, although the director left me there with "the teachers will get you in the loop." They pretty much completely ignored my baby. He started playing with toys and I decided to leave for an hour or so to see how he does there. When I came back, he was on a tile floor by the kitchenette, freezing cold, away from play area, screaming so bad he got hiccups, which means he cried for a while. His diaper was full both wet and dirty. They teachers saw me and started telling me "he just started crying". I grabbed the baby, left and never came back and recommend you don't either. Worst teachers ever. Inattentive, could care less. read more

My daughter was 16 weeks starting at Kindercare, and their team helped me prepare to return to work. She started off one week part time to ease into it, then had two weeks full time before we had to move. While we were there, the girls at Kindercare were friendly, caring and attentive to my daughter. It was actually really hard to pull her out to move! I was highly impressed with the professionalism of this facility. Plus, if you are a military family working with NACRA, they make the process very easy. Kindercare was not a fit for our family. Our son just wasn't happy and we never had a good feeling about the place. There weren't many students enrolled in either the toddler or the infant classroom and at least two were children of the staff. It was awkward at times to see a staff member disciplining or talking down to their own child in front of the other kids. The two (infant and toddler) classrooms were frequently combined which completely defeated the purpose of having two to begin with. Because of the low attendance and part-time kids, our son never had a stable environment or ability to bond. I think if that had been all, I would have at least given the center 2 stars. However, the center director was difficult and unpleasant so this gets one star. read more

I had to take my 4 month old there because I injured my foot and needed him to be in daycare for the day. I did the research and saw good reviews for this place, because as a new parent I wanted to make sure that he was safe, but to my horror my son has a 101.7 fever and there is only one place that this could have happened and that is at this place. I will never, ever recommend this place to anyone now. I was afraid of daycares and I thought I had made a good decision but obviously this place did not take care of my son and protect him from germs the way they should. I am beyond angry at this daycare and can only hope that they take better measures to ensure that no other babies get sick the same way mine did. read more

My daughter did not hesitate one bit stepping into her classroom and joining in on the fun they were having. She feels right at home, and I feel very safe leaving her there everyday. Our son went to preschool at Kindercare Escondido and was enrolled in Ms. Kim's and Ms. Jessica's class. He has some special physical needs and is confined to a wheelchair/stander. The school welcomed him in at first but the teacher's mentioned grew more and more "tired" of supporting him it seemed. Our boy is sharp as a tack and very social. There was absolutely no warmth in the classroom. He was never greeted at the door, never said goodbye and he was often completely ignored. Many times I found him in his stander in the middle of the classroom alone with no one even checking on him. I could go on and on how I repeatedly mentioned to the front office about how they treat him and the office personnel agreed these teacher's have some professional and social issues and attempted to talk to them about it anyways. Things never changed. Other parents have said the same thing to me about their children being treated the same way so I know it's not just us or our situation. Now that our son is in a new school, the difference is night as day. He's back to his old self and doing so much better. Teacher's make all the difference! I feel embarrassed and ashamed we let our son go to Kindercare as long as we did. Ms. Kim and Ms. Jessica have NO business teaching children. What a horrible experience with them. They should be ashamed!! Stay away from these two teachers!!!! read more

First review was pretty blunt. Agreed, the two infant and toddler rooms are combined which concerned me as a mom to a newborn there that left and came back to the toddler room. Staff communicated very well and I had great experiences with them. They have a new director who is awesome as well as the assistant Director. They will move mountains for you if they can. I felt my son (15months at the time) was learning bad habits (smacking) from the other kids and witnessed him being smacked on several occassions with staff either not seeing or responding. I was advised kids r kids and yes.. but staff os staff. My my opinion, 15 months is a bit you g to be learning to defend themselves daily. So with that issue, maybe the staff has changed or been trained better??? My son also always got sick... constantly. Hospital, thousands of dollars sick.... beyond a typical sniffle. He caught many many germies there. Again, kids do get sick, especially at daycare, but I felt it was a bit much.. otherwise they were decent. Always had new activities and themes for the kiddos.... and typically a low turnover with staff I noticed which was nice. Hope this helps! read more

We started our daughter in the pre-k class. I can't say enough about the staff and classroom experience. They were so wonderful with helping her have a good first day and great experience overall. I absolutely love this preschool! The Director Ms. Jen is warm and caring. She takes the time to listen to you whether it is to tell her how your day is going or to grip about your drive or listen to you tell the same story over and over again about what you child or grandchild did or said. My granddaughter has been attending for a little over a year and a half now and I have got to tell you I am so in love with this KinderCare! It make me happy to know that my granddaughter is growing and learning in such a caring environment. I am impressed with the weekly/monthly activities the kids get to enjoy!
