I am impressed with the CNAs patience and compassion with their less than wonderful residents who can be cranky or down right rude and unpleasant when the CNA is just trying to make sure they are clean and safe. Maintenance has addressed and improved all my wants and needs. Social Services works with me for my outside doctor appointments and the facility doctors and nurse practitioner are excellent. Client services and actives are very upbeat and encouraging and offer various activities if interested. I would refer others to this facility.

I had to tear it with my teeth to eat it. But, after I fell on my head ,gave myself a black eye, was whisked off to be c-rated and MRIed, sent back to the hard bed, later to be sent back to hospital because of an ulcer. I had complained about the burning in my stomach, but because of bad communication between the personnel, I was not given the anti reflux meds until the doctor was called after dark. I hope fate does not make me stay there ever again. The five star rating??? I would not trust it.

All the staff members there were warm and kind and did their best to help mom recover in as much comfort as possible. Vicki McDaniel, the social services director there, went out of her way to make sure that mom got a TB test, a Covid shot, and that the necessary paperwork was filled out and emailed to get mom into an assisted living facility closer to family. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Through the invaluable assistance of Samantha Phillips, a dedicated professional aiding families in such transitions, (now a nurse at Wolf Creek Care Center) we secured a place for him at Wolf Creek Care Center in Grass Valley. The care he received there was nothing short of exceptional. At Wolf Creek, the compassionate attention from the CNAs and nurses was complemented by the heartfelt dedication of social worker Vickie and activity director Debbie. These two remarkable individuals not only fulfilled their professional roles but also became cherished friends to my father. Embracing his new community, he took on the role of president of the residents' council, actively participating in monthly meetings to enhance the quality of care. He held the entire staff in high esteem and affection. Wolf Creek Care Center became more than just a facility; it was truly his home. Given his inability to walk and my limitations in providing the necessary care, it was a relief to know he was surrounded by a team that treated him like family. Their unwavering support and kindness have left an indelible mark on our hearts. For families seeking a nurturing environment where their loved ones will be treated with the utmost care and respect, I wholeheartedly recommend Wolf Creek Care Center. Following my father's passing on January 16, 2025, the staff graciously invited me to join their team as a volunteer. Now, I will have the honor of visiting and supporting the residents they so diligently care for, continuing the legacy of love and community that my father cherished. With all my love I thank every single person who works at Wolf Creek Care Center. You went above and beyond to make my dad's last two years of his life memorable for both of us.

We had a major repair done today by NID. I run the maintenance department at a small SNF in Auburn…read more I negotiated a shut down time , they were 1. On Time 2. Called in on a Tuesday afternoon because I was washing dishes for the second time that day only now…read morethe water comming out of the faucet was brown. I spoke to Rob and explained the issue and shared that I had read an article that morning that said NID was making improvements at Combie Reservoir to remove sediment... could this be what was causing the issue at my home. In addition I told Rob that the county had been out that morning just outside my property line working on the sewer line... could this have caused the issue. He was sure neither would be the cause and suggested that perhaps someone may be drafting from a fire hydrant around my location. This sparked my memory of big red trucks that I'd noticed comming and going all morning that were labeled as Gomez Water. Rob assured me someone from NID would be sent out to check our water and ivestigate. In just about an hour Dennis from NID arrived. Dennis was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We were assured that the Gomez company would be instructed not to draft so quickly as this was causing sediment to flow into our lines. Dennis then instructed us to run water until it ran clear and not to worry he would disconnect our water meter so that we would not incur the cost of clearing the sediment from our water lines. Dennis continued to explain that he would be back the next day around the same time to reconnect the meter. I was very happy to hear this as I felt we should not have to pay to resolve this matter. WOW!!! NID did this right and Dennis was so understanding and personable. I came, a few years ago from the land of LA County and the Department of Water and Power. They were never so pleasant or as understanding, nor mindful of doing the right thing. Kudos to NID and thank you to Dennis a very thoughtful rep and neighbor.

I am giving them one star because of the absolutely horrible food and rude and uncaring kitchen…read morestaff. I hate leaving negative reviews but this is really important for people to know who are considering putting their loved ones here. Between rude kitchen staff and the absolute garbage that comes out of the kitchen, my mother who is a current resident is not getting enough nutrition and feels intimidated to speak up to try to get more food. My mother has witnessed staff, upon hearing a complaint about the meal, come up to the resident who complained and in a sickly sweet, passive aggressive manor, berate her by telling her, "You AREN'T going to eat this after we ALL worked SO hard to make you this meal?" Dishes that are listed on the menu come out unrecognizable and look and taste completely different from one person to the next. Many meals don't have enough protein, and many are smothered in a lumpy, unrecognizable and not tasty gravy. For $3,000 a month, I wish i could demand better for my mother!! But it seems there is no "better" here when it comes to the food. It's a shameful practice, cutting corners on cost, using crappy ingredients that DO NOT fulfil the nutritional needs of seniors! The only really tasty thing seems to be the ice cream that comes with every meal... I'm sorry, I recognize this is our sad American standard, but pumping the elderly (many of whom already clearly exhibiting signs of cognitive decline) full of sugar and carbs should be illegal! Try to complain to Raystone management and they cannot help, as "the kitchen is run by a different company entirely." Great accountability. My mom will be moving back home where are least I know she will get her nutritional needs met by someone who ACTUALLY cares. To be clear, everything and everyone else associated with this facility is beautiful and lovely. The problems again are with the food and kitchen staff.

My wife and I spent a lot of time visiting Hilltop, so we were able to gain a very good appreciation of the place and we got to know many of the staff and residents. Hilltop is very clean and orderly, they provide tons of amenities and activities for residents, and the building has a beautiful courtyard full of trees, plants, and flowers. What really sets Hilltop apart is their highly skilled and professional staff. They are the warmest, friendliest, and most attentive people who make everyone feel like family. They work very hard to build a home and community for their residents. We are going to miss our visits there.
