We were booked at Eskaya Beach Resort through a package with Access Travel. Eskaya wasn't originally on our list of hotel selections as we were hoping to stay at Hennan, but it is a very happy accident that our booking was here instead. After traveling through the country for almost three weeks, we needed something relaxing and somewhat slow to recharge, and Eskaya was exactly that and more.
We are staying in one of the Deluxe Suites with a private pool. The suite itself is very spacious, with a large King bed and room for a smaller cot for our son. The amenities included in the room are well thought out, as everything you could possibly need in terms of toiletries is included -- hair care, lotion, dental set, vanity set, shower cap, bubble bath, adorable wooden combs, etc. Bottled water is restocked everyday, as is complimentary coffee and tea.
The suite has a lot of outdoor space, including the bathroom, but everything is set up so that your room and living area is very private.
Our booking included daily breakfast, and their Lantayan resto is a lovely fresh open air set up next to the infinity pool, overlooking the sea. During our stay we've had the Filipino breakfasts (taps, longganisa, corned beef), as well as sisig and sinegang for dinner. All meals were exceptional. Mango shakes were a regular item at every meal.
There are outdoor water activities that we are participating in later today. They have kayaking, pedal boats, and paddle boarding. If you're looking for other excursions, those can also be booked through the hotel.
Service is top notch. Little things I loved include the katol mosquito coil put out every night with turndown service, the offers to drive you on the golf carts throughout the resort (not necessary as the grounds are stunning), and kind bartenders at the pool swim-up bar.
If you're looking for a slow paced, relaxing stay at a luxury but authentic Filipino resort, Eskaya is definitely it. Next time we are home in the country, we will be visiting again. read more
