Overall, Bellevue is a great deal for your money.
Tucked away and beach front, this beautiful resort is sprawling, modern and familiar. While there are definitely cool and unique features to remind you that you are indeed in the Philippines, the resort reminded me of just about any mainstream resort you'd find in the Caribbean or Mexico.
The staff is so incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food is great and the rooms are clean and spacious with complimentary wi-fi. Communication with the hotel leading up to our trip was also fantastic with a quick response time and thorough answers to any of our questions. If I remember correctly, our room bill averaged about $150 a night, with complimentary breakfast buffet voucher given to each of us, every morning of our stay. (And it's much more than a continental breakfast and even provides you with access to Filipino food.)
We were also provided a 30% discount to spa services, which was also already extremely reasonable compared to prices we're used to in the states. For a 90 minute massage, I believe my total was somewhere around $40. (Just make sure you don't come right off the beach before your massage! The sand is so fine that I thought I had completely dried and dusted off, but I could feel it throughout my massage. Oh well. Guess that was just a bonus exfoliator!)
My only minor complaint is that the although the beach area is private, it's a little lackluster and the water, shallow. (Although beautiful starfish lined the sea floor making it an exciting spectacle while kayaking!) Otherwise, it seems as though the draw is the infinity pool for most guests.
If you're looking for a place with a more local flavor, this may not be your style. But if you're looking for a resort with all of the familiar amenities and comforts (in lieu of unique flair) than I think this will suit you just fine. read more
