The cleaners checked with me each time to be sure I was satisfied with how things were looking before moving on with the next task. Winonna was the receptionist I spoke to while making the booking. My home is generally well-kept, so this was meant to be a focused deep clean on a few areas. Around the 1 hour 15 minute mark, I was contacted and told they would need an additional hour, which I found surprising given there were two cleaners and the task list was minimal. When I arrived back at the house at the two-hour mark (after they said they were finished), I immediately noticed the kitchen floor didn't look clean. I asked them to go back over it, but even after that, I saw multiple areas that were missed. Corners of baseboards still had visible debris, and some baseboards looked like they hadn't been touched at all. There was pink residue left around the sink drain, the showerhead wasn't cleaned, and there was long hair left in the shower, bathrooms, and on the floors -- which isn't mine. The windows had streaks, and overall it seemed like many areas were quickly wiped down rather than cleaned thoroughly. For such a small list of tasks, I expected better attention to detail and thoroughness. Unfortunately, the work felt rushed and incomplete, and I will not be booking this service again.

As a result, they did not clean the first level of our home, because they wanted to charge extra for a "basement." A basement is underground -- ours is not. Not only did they completely skip one full level of the home, they still charged us for the total square footage of the entire house AND tried to overcharge us for extra services we clearly stated we did NOT want. This was a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish, and they have absolutely lost us as customers.

One challenge is that it isn't always the same cleaners, and the quality has been inconsistent. Some visits have been great, while others have fallen short, which has been frustrating. The biggest issue, however, has been scheduling. I want to extend grace because cleaning homes is physically demanding work, and I understand that delays can happen. That said, the arrival times have consistently been several hours later than the scheduled window. If you decide to use Pilar's service, I'd recommend planning for the cleaners to arrive three or more hours after the time you're given. While we've had some positive experiences, the inconsistency in both the cleaning quality and scheduling has made it difficult to rely on the service.

Not only does she clean very thoroughly, she also can be counted on to set up the apartment beautifully for the next guest, let me know if I'm low on any items, and handle any details i need, such as leaving a specific item for a guest if necessary. She makes my Airbnb seem like it has a personal touch even if I am at work and don't get down to check it out before the guests arrived. We often need to make requests at the last minute and she is very accommodating. Always on time, and she communicates very well if there are any changes (which rarely happens). We have also worked with the company several times to clean our personal house and they are so good at addressing whatever needs we have. Every time I have different items I want to focus on and they do a great job of finding out my needs and hitting every spot. To top it off, both Asha and Tameka are great to talk to and very friendly! She may not mention this, but she is also former military so you are supporting a woman veteran owned business!
