I reached out to 5 different companies around the Temple/Belton area and only got responses from 2 companies. One was J R Ash Tree Company. They drove by and called me with an estimate, and I was blown away; they were 60% cheaper than the other quote I got!!! I was a little nervous thinking "you get what you pay for", but he said he could even come by that same day (a Saturday) and do the job. I was thrilled! The *one* thing that made me worried was he said he's be there between 3-4PM, and by 4PM, I had to call him because he wasn't there yet. He said he was still coming; he had some things to take care of. I'm not taking a star away though because 1) It was a Saturday, 2) he still showed up and got the job done, and 3) he provided services the same day he gave me a quote. I saw him pull up with his truck and trailer and went out to meet him; he was already ready to start trimming! I asked him to first tell me what he was going to do and I told him what I wanted out of the project. He was patient and knowledgeable, so I felt better that maybe his price was just a REALLY great deal! Turns out, that was EXACTLY the case! The trees turned out beautiful; shaped well, thinned, yet retained their value! Even my mom - who is a very particular and critical person - said how great they did and wished they would have done her trees! James and his partner cleaned up the branches, blew everything off, and were done so quickly! They even put up with our nosy neighbor "supervising" the whole ordeal. I will definitely use them again. They've been doing this a long time, and it shows with how great their work turns out! Highly recommend!

We have expert knowledge and many years of experience with Oak Wilt and specialize in treating and removing hazardous trees. We are a family owned and operated, fully licensed, insured and bonded. Our employees adhere to the guidelines and procedures established by the International Society of Arboriculture, keeping safety as the top priority" Professional: The boss was on denial at first for the damage. Then he identified the employee responsible for the damage and suggested that we "physically" claim our damage on the poor employee, I don't even know what he meant by that. It definitely does not sound professional to me. Fully Licensed: There is a reason why businesses are required to operate insured. In instances like this a claim has to be filed. This business refuses to provide their insurance information, which puts me in doubt whether they are truly insured as they claim. Next thing I did is to professionally call on 04/04/2018 the business to get their mail address so I can legally and officially notify them about the damage. Jody hanged up the phone on me. Bottom of line my issue will be legally resolved regardless whether I get their insurance information or not. Save yourself and your neighbors a trouble and do not hire them for services.
