Running parallel to the coffee shop is a number of quaint little farm shops selling nick nacks and shabby chic items. On my last visit there was also a clothing shop. I mention the salad as it was varied and had a tasty dressing which is important as no one wants to see a pile of limp iceberg lettuce. My companion had a bison burger which they enjoyed. However, the stars of the meal were the chips. They were amazing! I didn't order any but I ate most of them on the plate. I was too full to eat dessert but they looked good. The Apiary also has an extremely large bathroom so if you like a good stretch whilst powdering your nose then this is the place for you.

The coffee itself was a beautiful Italian arabica, coated with chocolate powder and served with a small Italian biscuit on the side. Absolutely delicious. She asked one of the staff who told her they're totally independent of each other but that the owner of Tamper helped the guys from Federal set up. My sister ordered the Big Ozzie breakfast, and I ordered the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and halloumi. My dish was really beautifully presented. It came with a sweet chilli cucumber salsa, which is not necessarily something I would have chosen to go with the dish, but worked really well. My sister really enjoyed her breakfast as well. I tried a bit of the sausage patty and the hash brown and they were both delicious, really nicely seasoned. There's a great variety of teas served in fabulous chintzy teapots, along with the usual cappuccinos, lattes and hot chocolates. Food is fairly standard cafe fare- sandwiches, wraps, soup etc along with a very reasonably priced English breakfast. Best of all though are the homemade cakes- more than once I've been there when the cakes are still warm from the oven- scrumptious and always impossible to decide which one looks best!
