Was taking a good friend for his first EVER barbershop and shave as a gift . We booked a 1pm…read moreappointment on line. Arrived early only to be told our barber Antinino wouldn't be in until 1. So we went, grabbed a bite to eat and returned @ 1PM . Antino wasn't there. At 1:05 I heard another guy call and ASK Antino if he was showing up for his 1pm cut.We were told he was enroute. At 1:15 we left and went to Form Follows, Fade, 2 blocks east on Central Good move. The first place was filthy and NO comb solutions, back mirror station was a mess. Form Follows Fade had REAl barber chairs, proper solutions, was clean and they took us right away. I watched the barber oil and clean his equipment several times during the cut and shave, something I didn't see at all during the time we were waiting at Central Station. They didn't even clean up what looks like about 3 days worth of hair. The cut and shave we also 10 less than Central and I have NO DOUBT that BJ, the master barber at Form gave us a FAR better cut and shave than we WOULD have gotten ar Central. They also charge a 15$ no show fee... so Id like to know where MY 15$ is for Antonio not showing up. Do yourself a favor... go to Form, Follows, Fade for a REAl barber experience in a clean and professional place!
