I want a total refund for my hair. I would not suggest going there as I went for consultations and stated I wanted human hair and I should of known when she tried to dye pieces to blonde as I requested they were a solid red. As she gave me synthetic hair versus human hair. She put so much weight to my thin pieces that I couldn't sleep for 4 nights. I went to another stylist and all she could say is WOW what a horrible job. As she placed the extensions in my hair, she would cut chunks out in different places so I have 2 inches here and 6 inches there. The results all right now my hair is too short to even have extensions. I have to wait several months for my hair to grow out due to her just chopping away at it so please think before you go to see her. I asked for a refund she told me her policy is no refunds for me to come back and she try to fix it. Well, how do you put your hair back on your head that's been cut off and I wouldn't dare let her touch my head after what I went through. She will not respond to anything you ask or say after her statement as she doesn't care about her customers as the money is the most important thing to her as it first I just tried to get the $900 for just placing the extensions in my head then when I found out it was synthetic hair at one of the other $500 also. Well, needless to say, I haven't seen a dime of it nor has she sent me back a reply to any emails I have sent like I said all I received was I did not give refunds so if that doesn't tell you what she's like then I don't know what else to say, but I definitely would not go back to Tia and I suggest you don't either. Pay the extra and get that excellent hair stylist as it has been a nightmare from day one. When she is subpoenaed to court, she will have to answer my questions then and refund the amount she charged as it was all under false pretenses, which is the total shame. Please if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them for you before you book that appointment. And I hope any clients she has that she's done this to in the past will also come forward as she told me about a customer that every time she washed her hair she would cry, and I thought to myself what in the world, but I totally understand now trust me I had to wear my hair in a ball on the top of my head to keep the pressure off of my own hair so I could have some relief until I had the extensions taken out which cost me another $250. I will ask for the $250 in court to as this was the first time I've ever had a hair extensions Oh, she's ruined my chances of having any hair extensions anytime soon. I normally do not do reviews, but I could only think about the people that may consider going to her and hopefully they'll have a chance to read this first as I would never want this to happen to anyone else. I had been going to these "highfalutin" spas where they have lockers, cucumber water, pretentious décor and charge you and arm and a leg for a hairstyle. So, when I walked into this this simple space, with a vending machine and kind of funky vibe I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, the old adage "don't judge a book by it cover" certainly applies here! My stylist, Cristian, was super! He said the owner, Maribel, is Dominican, and he's from El Salvador. I loved the Latin music playing in the background and the warm but laid back atmosphere here. Then he went to work! Best shampoo I've ever had! While he have my locks a shearing, we talked and laughed like old friends. He used some unique techniques to give my hair lots of layers and volume! So when he was done, I felt exuberant! It was the most fresh cut I have had in 10 years. Those expensive showy salons left me feeling flat, but when I left Maribel's, I felt bouncy and elated. Cristian, where have you been all my life!? I bought some products, but no elaborate showcase here. My cut and products were less than I paid at other salons. I must say, I'm thankful for the friend that referred me! And I hope I've found my stylist for life! She takes the time to build a relationship with me that has really helped bring everything I have wanted to my hair be more. And trust, we've done it all, black, blonde, silver, brown, highlights, keratin, you name it, and Leanza has done it. I've also really appreciated the staff at Hair, I've talked to many of the other stylists and have always had a positive experience.
