Amazing! I have been going to Essence Community Acupuncture for 5 months and feel so much better. Went in for relief of arthritis in knees and hands and also cold shoulder. After a few treatments the shoulders were so much better and after 5 months my shoulders are virtually pain free. I held out little hope for the arthritis in my knees as they are very bad but they also feel better. The bursitis hasn't bothered me in months (it's so painful) and I haven't had to get a cortisone shot for over a year. Joints in my hands also feel much better. Ambiance: -check-in/out and waiting area, as well as consult room towards the front of the building. Stocked with tea, hot and cold water, and items for purchase. -once inside the treatment area, you'll find plenty of seating choices, with both anti-gravity chairs and lay-flat tables. The room is kept at a very comfortable temperature during all seasons; soft mood lighting and relaxing meditation music plays in the background. -although this is a "community style" room-- that is, other people will be receiving their treatments at the same time as you-- it remains a relaxing, restorative time. Services and Staff: -Danielle, the owner of Essence, offers community acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Chinese fire cupping massage. She holds a Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University (MCPHS). -I personally regularly subscribe to her acupuncture and herbal medicine services and find her to be knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, and incredibly dedicated to her clients. I started going here a yr ago w severe anxiety & depression w not much to lose. Danielle was so warm, non judgmental & knowledgable i felt immediately at ease. After only a few wks i felt better & stopped my zoloft which had caused me pain from teeth clenching & wasnt even as effective.
