The practitioners here are exceptionally trained and qualified, with most, if not all, having advanced degrees in Physical Therapy and extensive practical hands-on experience. Samantha ("Sammy") Rondeau, DPT, led my first series of PT sessions for right knee replacement. This was personally challenging as I'd never experienced a surgery or recovery like this one. Sammy outlined, explained, and led 3-times a week sessions to restore movement and full use of my right leg. This included home exercises (I continue to use as part of my home workouts.) Sammy is also leading my rotator cuff PT (which I started this week.) A comprehensive assessment coupled with MD recommendations precedes physical therapy here. Everyone here is very client-focused. Lots of off-street parking and a comfortable waiting room. The staff are all upbeat and eager to guide the rest of us to improved health. There are many PT clinics in the immediate area, but I am very fortunate to work with this one.

After several months I noticed I had diminishing returns on time spent and still had nagging problems participating in my sport at full capacity. It was a breath of fresh air to receive treatment from somebody who looks at the whole person and their goals instead of simply bringing them to minimum comfort level and being pain free through avoidance. She customized my plan to my goals and kept me active in my sport during the treatment period. She also helped me address muscular and flexibility imbalances that likely caused the injury in the first place. I highly recommend Leah to anybody who participates in sports and wants their body in top working condition for their goals.

As a result of this negative treatment experience, I was very tired, disoriented, and could barely walk. I decided to contact Jess who I have known for many years to help me strengthen my nutritional system. Jess was extremely helpful in recommending improved vitamins and supplements, is that correct including vitamin D, calcium and magnesium. Jess recommended very high quality vitamins and the correct dosage. We had several phone calls as well as communicated via several detailed emails. Jessica is extremely knowledgeable about vitamins and supplements and what they are supposed to do for you. She is an expert in nutrition in general. She was always extremely professional and timely in response to my questions. Jess is very thorough in all her work. On a personal note, Jess is very pleasant to work with. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer at the young age of 41 in March…read moreof 2014. We were absolutely devastated. Doctors told us he wouldn't last the summer, and they immediately put him on an aggressive chemotherapy regimen. During his treatment, we also decided to look into "alternative" medicine. By the grace of God, we found our way to Yi Luo and Eastway Acupuncture & Wellness. As soon as we met her, we were immediately comforted by her gentle nature. Though she didn't know us, we could also tell she cared and desperately wanted to help. In addition to getting weekly acupuncture, Yi recommended a combination of herbal remedies and bone broth soup. We did everything she told us to, though some thought it odd that I'd give my husband a warm foot bath (with herbs!) every night before bed. And I won't lie - he didn't love the taste of the soup, but he gulped it down while I watched, arms folded, until he finished every drop. When we went in to get the results of my husband's first CT scan, I asked his oncologist what a "good" result might be. His response was, "About a 30% reduction in overall tumor volume." We were astounded when we learned my husband had a 94% reduction in tumor volume. In July of 2014, after my husband finished his chemotherapy, we went in for another CT scan. I'll never forget his oncologist turning around his computer monitor for us to see the scans. I remember leaning in for a closer look. "Where are the tumors?" I asked. I remember the scans looking like Swiss cheese when he was first diagnosed. The doctor looked at us, and with a kind smile, hunched his shoulders and said, "Gone." My husband was declared disease-free by CT scan that day. There was no explanation by any of his doctors. He'd achieved the impossible. He was called "a miracle." Nine years later, my husband is still cancer free. Now I have no idea exactly why we were given this gift, but I do know that Yi's care contributed to my husband's healing. I don't believe there's any evidence that acupuncture can help cure cancer, but I do believe it relieves stress and lessens side effects of treatment. Those two things and the genuine care he received absolutely contributed to my husband's healing. When I developed chronic pain a couple of years ago, I knew exactly where to go. I now see Yi every week. She's still the same - dedicated, caring, optimistic. I'd recommend Yi and anyone in her office. You couldn't possibly find better alternative care.
