Easy scheduling. (Note: Closed on Wednesdays.) Office manager patient and friendly. Atmosphere calming and VERY clean. Michael is a compassionate listener. Stretches were gentle but strong. Stretch instead of hard, focused pressure achieved the relief and relaxation I needed. I can't say enough good things about the care I received at EBB. I had been dealing with back pain for two months and was concerned I wouldn't be able to return to work. I suspected the pain was muscle related but had been going about it all wrong. Michael was able to identify the source of the problem and in just one session I was 95 percent back to normal. The second session entirely removed the remaining back pain and during a third session he addressed some milder shoulder pains that had recently developed. The back pain did not return even with heavy lifting and physical activity. I highly recommend EBB to anyone who is experiencing chronic pain. I've been having massages from Michael for several years now. I can't imagine going anywhere else! Because he and his wife are the sole owners and operators I know that I am in the hands of someone who really cares about providing the absolute best service. The environment is totally warm and relaxing, and Michael is always waiting with a welcoming smile and embrace. Before the massage starts Michael listens carefully to my concerns ranging from tennis elbow to a stiff neck to post knee replacement spasms and cramps. During my 1 hour massage a hot rolled towel is applied behind my neck and two are draped on my feet. Michael works out knots and smooths out tight muscles, always checking to make sure the pressure is "just right." He finishes with a head and scalp massage which is heavenly. I recently visited my family in NC and was in desperate need of a massage. My mom had been several times to Essential Balanced Bodywork for her hip and back and thought that would be the perfect place. First of all...the office is inviting, quiet, warm, clean and it smelled wonderful. The rooms are lovely and welcoming. One room is tropical and the other is like being in the forest. It was beautifully decorated and easy to relax. Well, all I can say is Emily was incredible! She talked with me about any pain I was experiencing, what I was expecting, what I did to alleviate it on my own and maybe how I can better take care of my shoulder, back and feet.
