Wonderful flamenco performance. Loved the brief introduction about the history of the dance form and the fact that they didn't serve food during the show. Complimentary beer, wine and sangria before the show was a nice touch. Dancers were amazing and there was also an instrumental performance. Definitely recommend this place for those who want to see flamenco for the first time.

This was an experience! The big disappointment was that we requested a glass of wine and got Sangria. Yes, we know you didn't give us what we asked for. After that, nothing was disappointing! They went through the history on Flamenco dancing which was very interesting. There were two Bailaoras and one Bailaor, 2 guitarists, one drummer, and one cantaor. They were each amazing. The show was only an hour long but very entertaining.

Great show, but the venue is extremely small. I was on the front row on the edge and had a terrible view. Anybody not sitting in the middle won't have a good view. I was very interested in seeing the guitarist but I could only see the back of his guitar unfortunately. The performers were all amazing though!

There is a comfortable waiting area while waiting for the show

Amazing! We enjoyed everything about this Flamenco Show. After experiencing Flamenco Dancing for the first time in Valencia, Spain, we decided to try a show here in Madrid. This venue is very intimate with "No bad seats". The musicians and dancers were very talented and the show was so very entertaining. Everyone at the show was friendly and welcoming. It was an enchanting evening to be sure! If you are in Madrid, check out this show!

Best intimate flamenco show with only three rows of seats and also in domed brick cellar. We bought tickets in person because website wouldn't accept my card. Near Sol subway. Yummy sangria. So close, I could just feel the warmth onstage. Good value. Highly recommended!

They do not offer food. Our ticket was purchased and we received a complementary drink (they offer sangria, beer or refreshments). The performers were great. However, the show is underwhelming for an an hour only.

The BEST, most authentic Flamenco show you will ever see!!!! Located in a cellar underground, this show encompasses all the aspects of traditional Flamenco-cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance), jaleo (vocalizations and chorus clapping), palmas (handclapping) and pitos (finger snapping). The dances, the vocals, and the music were truly mesmerizing. The outfits were beautiful and both dancers (male and female) were truly on point with every beat of the music. Really small and intimate audience (only 2 rows) so you'll have a great seat anywhere "in the house"!! I would recommend this show to anyone- REALLY fun (and entertaining) night!!

Oh. My. Word. What a welcome to Spain. We had booked tickets for Essential Flamenco our first night in Spain and it did not disappoint!!! I was literally moved to tears with how much passion there was - from the musicians to the dancers - and I cannot say enough good things about this performance. Every aspect of the show was well rehearsed. The musicians were incredibly talented and everyone complemented each other so well! It is an incredibly cozy and intimate atmosphere, with a small stage and only two to three rows of seats. The audience is so close to the stage, it feels as though you're a part of the performance! The experience truly moved me and my soul. Would highly recommend!!!

Stellar flamenco experience in its most authentic form. This was a very intimate experience with acoustics of natural form since, it is performed in a 100+year old cellar where flamenco was traditionally showcased. If you want to take in a powerful exhibition of dance and music if find yourself in Madrid stop on in. Immigration comfort space, in a cellar. About the $35 for performance and includes a free drink. Try the sangria it is very good. Numerous places in the area to have dinner before or after. Absolutely wonderful performance!!!!

Great experience very intimate setting in a basement. The street it is on has a good place for tapas and is a popular area. I puchased my ticket on their website and it included a cocktail. The musicians and dancers were superb, read their bios and wow what talent. Truly a must see when in Madrid. They let you video and take pictures.

It was a very nice and cosy atmosphere in an underground cellar, to me it felt a bit touristy because there was a lot ppl, over 50 ppl a bit cramp. S The performance was passionate & strong from all the performers. A good introduction to flamenco near Puerta del Sol. Tickets we bought on the night included a drink each.

Another visit that was high on the list of things to do in Madrid…read more I bought passes that came with an English guide. I enjoyed having that, but you could easily come through on your own without a guide and be fine. Our guided tour was about 90 minutes, but you could also stay as long after as you desired. We ended up staying about another hour to catch some of the things the tour didn't stop at. Note that you cannot take photos inside. It also seems to get pretty busy early, so it might be a good idea to go fairly early or closer to closing. Would highly recommend the Prado.

It was close to our hotel but not close enough to make it there on time since we were literally just leaving the hotel at 5:30 PM. The hotel attendant immediately suggested taking a cab because we were already running behind. When we arrived, I swear the line looked a mile long! Thankfully my bf asked one of the attendants before we jumped in line because apparently all those people were waiting for the free admission window. We found out that they offer daily late-entry free admission Monday-Saturday from 6 PM-8 PM. Since we already had tickets, they scanned us right in and there was basically no wait. Huge tip: if you purchased tickets in advance, do NOT automatically follow the giant line! Walk directly toward the front and ask an attendant where ticket holders should enter. It will save you so much time! Lol. I mainly wanted to come here for the Francisco Goya artwork. The museum definitely feels very old world European and is heavily centered around royalty, religion, and classical art. After a while it can start to feel emotionally heavy even for a Catholic like me. If you really enjoy soaking in the artwork and taking your time, I'd recommend visiting earlier in the day so you don't feel rushed trying to see everything. My one complaint is that the directions to the toilets/restrooms were not very clear. We spent a while walking around trying to find one before eventually giving up and leaving since we were already exhausted and super jet lagged. Thankfully our hotel was only about a 20-minute walk away. It was still a great experience and definitely something I'd recommend if you're visiting Madrid. P.S. Photos are not allowed inside, so don't expect to be taking pictures of the artwork while visiting.

Came here for the 10:30pm flamenco show, having reserved online a few days in advance. 40 euros gets you in to the show and includes 1 drink. It may seem a bit pricey (there are cheaper options in the city for sure), but it is 100% worth it if you want to see authentic flamenco in an intimate space. The seating area is not huge, but best of all, seats are kind of on an angle. So even if you are near the back, you can see the footwork. This is really great, because so many flamenco tablaos I went to in Andalucia were really cramped and basically if you are not in the front few tables, you cannot see any of the dancers' feet. Anyways, the calendar on the website will tell you who is dancing and who is performing on guitar and cante (singing). They get a lot of excellent artists here. The performance had one intermission and went until ~midnight. The dining area is at the front and the stage and performance space are in a smaller separate room in the back. Servers bring the drinks to you so you don't have to get up to go to the bar. Like many places in Spain, once you sit down you get a little bowl of nibbles, such as nuts. Overall, an incredible and moving experience with top notch performers. Plus, the location is very central, just a few blocks from Puerta del Sol. Because of the location perhaps, there will be a fair number of foreigners in the audience, but rest assured that what you are seeing here is the real deal.
