Not only does she give amazing, custom massages, she is also so very knowledgeable about pain management and can help refer you to people that practice holistic care and genuinely want to find the root cause- not just put a bandaid on it. If I could I would see Krystle every week. She is also extremely dedicated to her clients. She broke her nose and still did everything to keep my husbands appointment after she left the ER... SAME DAY! She works hard and loves what she does and it shows in her work! If you are looking for a place that is professional and has integrity, this is not the place. I really wish I had made an appointment in NOVA but since moving here I need to find a place that gives quality facials. From the start I should have seen the red flags. I made an appointment for my boyfriend and I for European facials. When I called I asked about 2 different types of facials and what they included. The service that is described over the phone is not the same service you will receive. I was told something different that is described on their website also. My boyfriend and I were late but we were never advised that we would cut into our service time, mind you we made an appointment for 3pm and 4pm but then later called by the girl in the front and was asked if we could both come at 3pm, some how they were able to get us in at the same time now. Hmmm ok cool. Then called again and asked if we could come at 12!? No sorry. I was called twice before the appointment, which made me feel like they were trying to even rush the appointment time. Anyways, we get there and yes we were late and we were never advised of the time would be deducted from service. I immediately noticed no steam machine in the room and was kinda apprehensive but I thought maybe it would be brought in. We had a total of a 30 min service that included a 5 minute arm massage and we were also left in the room for 15 min to have the mask left to dry, you would think that they would take that time to do a proper massage that is "included" which states on their website. Nope! Wasn't done either. We then asked for an additional service which they declined because they had another "client " which I believe was a lie because it was a holiday and they clearly wanted to get out of there. Um ok, 10 min later they said they were done. What I don't understand is they asked what our concerns were with our skin .. why ask if you can't even perform services due to time and at that point they had the opportunity to let us know they could not perform any additional service because they didn't have time. After all this they told me my total was $240.00 ?! I advised them they did not perform the service and the women agreed. She gave a $40 dollar discount. At that point I said ok but left there feeling we were hustled and that didn't sit well with me. I sent an email and expressed these concerns with no response from this establishment. It was very disappointing and customer service is clearly not a priority. For a small place maybe this is the best out of the options here in Waldorf, I will spend my money in the Tyson's area where it's a little more professional and I wouldn't mind spending more money for a service I know will be performed 100%. Krystal is excellent. I must say that I have massages all over the country and they were great, but could not find that right place near home. After searching, I found Essenza Escape. Truthfully, I don't like the big spa atmosphere or the chains like massage envy. You are a number not a person and the massage is not customized. Krystal allows you to fully customize your massage and will really listen to you if you want a certain area addressed. The spa is clean, a little hidden/tucked away, but easy parking and nice. Prices are great. I really have never fallen completely asleep while getting a massage but there's a first for everything! Completely relaxing and just what you need if you really want to feel taken care of. Your body deserves to be treated well. Don't be surprised if other ailments don't start to go away after getting on a routine massage schedule. This is affordable and well worth the money and time. Krystal works with my oftentimes crazy schedule too. I have not tried the wraps and/or facials yet but am looking forward to trying that as well. When I tell you that Krystal is amazing, that is the TRUTH!!!! She was not even scheduled to be open on that Sunday, but she made my birthday that more special by making herself available. I waited too late, and they had no appointments left. The wonderful receptionist placed me on hold and let me know that they could accommodate me on Sunday, and I was ecstatic. My aunt recommended this place to me because of its privacy, and she was right. Krystal was very professional and she gave me exactly what I needed, working out all of the stressful points. My overall experience was wonderful. The receptionist was so kind. Is was only in town for the day but really needed a massage, I called but they were filled for the day. This is one of the best massage businesses that I have been to. I was in need of a massage (12/12/15) at the last minute and reached out to Krystal to see if Essenza Escape had any openings. Krystal had informed me that an appointment for the next day had not confirmed and that I could have her appointment time. Thankful, I booked with Krystal. A while later, Krystal informed me that that individual ended up confirming the appointment but that if I was willing, she would open the shop early to squeeze me in. This was the best massage ever.
