I had the pleasure of getting a massage by Loretta Wingo. I requested a a special medical massage at the last minute via a business partner of hers and it was phenomenal. She has over 15 years experience and you can truly see that in her drive, timeliness, compassion and touch. She not only helped heal my body, but she ministered to my soul. I APPRECIATED THAT MORE THAN ANYONE COULD IMAGINE. She has such a healing spirit and calm demeanor that makes her so warm and welcoming. I love this gift that was bestowed upon her. Now, I believe in self-care. I get a massage once a month. So saving the experience wasn't new to me. I knew what to expect. However, I typically go for male masseur as I carry a lot of lactic acid in this plus size frame. She was strong and firm which I loved. This deep tissue girl was in awe but at the same time she knew where to apply gentle pressure. That's a cultivated skill. I was ready for pain but there wasn't any. There was pressure, reassurance amd breathing techniques for comfort. I really admired the "Smell Goods". I detest lavender and was greated with an island coconut vibe. I was given a gift certificate to get a massage for my birthday. The location is in an office park and you have to be buzzed in. The massage with the Reflexology and hot towels was lovely. Massage menu was limited (no scrubs, body wraps, facials etc) The ambience was nice for a basic massage business. Do not expect a day spa with showers, sauna, robes, relaxation room etc. You will disappointed. The receptionist Brianna was friendly and accomodating. I felt the masseuse (don't remember her name) could use a little bit more professionalism..ie asking me if wanted water, needed to use the restroom before we started and asking me if anything she was doing was causing pain or discomfort. After using Google I came across L and N massage checked to website out it was easy to navigate and the price was great 112 for a 90 min deep tissue!! I recently purchased a Groupon and I decided to give this place a try. I hadn't had a massage in a long time so I was really looking forward to it. First,the address was correct,but Google sent me on a wild goose chase so pay close attention. It is located between the Toyota dealership and the Roy Rogers chicken. There isn't a visible sign from the highway. So I get there and I had to go in the back of the building to get in since it was latter in the afternoon. As one of the other yelpers said the elevator did sound sketchy. But the steps were locked and there wasn't another way up. That's a fire hazard, but that's the buildings fault. Anyway, It was smaller than I expected but nice quiet ambience in the waiting area. Now the massage was ok. It wasn't the best I've had, but it was nice. Didn't get all the kinks out of my back and the room could of been a little darker but they were very nice (especially since I got lost and was late). This was our first time here and it was by far the best massage that I have had in a long time. There is plenty of parking in front of the building. The place was very clean and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very calming and modern. Ms. Loretta was my masseuse and she was wonderful. I almost purchased a groupon to this place, even before I looked at the reviews. I first pulled up their website and it says a 60 minute Swedish massage, etc. was $64. The exact same thing was on groupon for $58, claiming that is was a 57% discount of a normal price of $123. The $64 price on their website was not under a special or sale. I find this ethically scandalous, and therefore did not purchase. Maybe they give great massages, that may be true. This definitely was not what I expected. Sometimes it's worth paying more for a better experience. The location is not visible from the parking lot. In fact, if I didn't call to confirm the location, I wouldn't have found it because there is no sign on the building to indicate that the spa is in the building. Do not arrive early because you will be greeted by a locked door and you will have to wait in the hallway (standing) until someone comes to open the door. I recently moved to the Waldorf area so I am in search of a really good massage therapist. Let me start off by saying the staff here at L&N are friendly, however, I have to give them one star on location, the lack of ambiance/tranquility and to be honest just down right no idea on how to give a massage. The location is in an old run down building where the elevator sounds like it's going to break down at any moment, and they have AC units. AC units!! Are you kidding me? The carpet is old and there is a stench of some sort in the building and when you walk in the office itself. Not to mention when you get a massage it's supposed to be dark or dim in the room. When I turned over on my back the sun had a straight shot to my eyelids. I mean come on buy a blackout curtain, seriously!! I was asked if the temp was ok and I said yes it feels nice in here, she then turned the heat off. So I literally froze the entire time i was on that table. I couldn't relax at all. Now let's get to the actual massage, when your asked initially what pressure are you looking for and you say medium to firm more so firm because I have a lot of knots in my shoulders and upper back. Why?? Please someone tell me why if this is a SWEDISH massage did i leave with absolutely no relief in my neck, my shoulders or my traps. She took the non-scented cream or oil and just lathered my skin with it. At no point did she ask is the pressure ok, nor did she even apply pressure. I had a great massage yesterday with Diana. She was AMAZING!!! Listened to my concerns and really worked out all the kinks. The room and table were sooo warm which I def appreciate and the ambiance was very relaxing and quiet. Their 1st time check in process was super simple using a tablet. They took me right on time. I would def come back. The elevator was not sketchy and I don't like elevators, just a normal small office building elevator. I used a livingsocial which includes aromatherapy and other things, which is why it says its a 57% discount bc those extras cost more then just a regular Swedish massage (others were complaining about this but clearly didn't read the pricing and groupon in detail). Buyer beware!!! My daughter recently surprised me with a 60 minute massage. Unfortunately, the surprise was on my daughter because the owner reneged on my daughter using a Living Social voucher. When the appointment was made, my daughter specifically stated she would be using the Living Social voucher on the Sunday that fell on Father's Day. At no time was she told the voucher would not be honored that day so she had to pay full price. Needless to say we were both disappointed especially when the owner pointed to vague wording saying vouchers weren't honored on "special days." Had this been told when the appointment was made she would've picked another day for us to go. Also, I explained to Dianna and made note on the tablet that I had been experiencing pain in my right arm. Unfortunately, she massaged it anyway. I was in more pain after the massage. Horrible Business Management. I have been a long time client to Loretta only to showed up for an appt to be told by Lorette that I never replied to the confirmation email and when I showed her that I did she couldn't find it on her phone. I asked her for another appointment and some accommodation for my inconvenience since it was her business and her system that didnt relay my response only for her to tell me that she needed to talk to her computer folks to find out what happened. She proceeded to tell me that this had never happened to anyone else as if I was the problem. Unbelievable and horrible client services. Nonetheless, I couldnt get an appt until one week later. During the encounter, she seemed to never take responsibility or ownership for what happened. She proceeded to tell me that not only did I need to send an email reply but also call. All appointments are managed electronically and she has no receptionist to conduct follow-ups. Ridiculous.... so now I will find a new therapist because I will not be returning. This is how your treat your long time clients....Sad situation. No way, I would not have made special accommodations for a repeat client. Loretta needs to understand the art of client/customer service. I hope she starts to put her clients first and get her computer system problems resolved. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I purchased a Groupon with L&N Massage for my girlfriend and I to use on Valentine's Day. Before I purchased the Groupon I made sure to read the fine print to ensure that there were no days blocked off that I could not use the Groupon, which there were not. I called L&N Massage to see if they had any times available for Valentine's day and I was told they are not accepting Groupon's on Valentine's Day. I then asked if they had anything available for that Saturday or Sunday and they told me that they were not taking any Groupon's the entire weekend of Valentine's day. I was very frustrated because I specifically bought the Groupon to use for Valentine's Day and there was no writing in the Groupon that said I could not use it on certain days. I then asked if I could use it for this Sunday and once again they said they are not taking Groupon's this Sunday either. When I asked what days do they take Groupon's they said they would call me back within an hour and I had to talk to an actual massage therapist, I never got a call from anybody. read more

They just put me on hold and then said, you've been charged so see you when you get here. They make you hold the appointment with a credit card but tell you they won't charge you until you get there. Then she handed the phone to another lady. This one told me they had a 24 hour cancelation policy but didn't even explain what that meant. How was I going I enjoy a massage with them now anyway? If you go to the website it's pretty straight forward on the price and in my opinion they are really good prices; therefore Groupon is not even necessary . $64.00 for an hour massage verse going to place like massage envy that try's to trick you into a one time $60 payment then it goes up to $120 a month membership for 1 massage per month. The staff are professional and kind. I feel like they cater to your particular needs and can actually tell you your problem areas. Each time I have gone , the staff has been on time and you actually get the full hour and not 20 minutes taken off for you to dress and undress. Tye staff will work with your schedule to get you in as soon as possible, so forget about that month wait at other massage locations. The building is not hard to find and while it may it may not look like the average spa, I felt comfortable in the services I receive here and I would dare to else where. I recently purchased a Groupon and after calling several times to schedule an appointment, they told me that they have ZERO appointments available for Groupon subscribers until 45 days (close to the expiration date)! Yet they are still scheduling appointments for people willing to pay more than Groupon's advertisement. I then scheduled an apt on their web site (which was not easy to do) and stated that I would be willing to pay the higher rate of $60. After driving to their location prior to the apt time, I discovered a locked door in which no one would answer. They apparently "gave away" my apt to another person, thinking that I was trying to use my Groupon. I will NEVER go back to this place. read more

They use internet based appointments and contacting but use being closed 2 days out of the WORK week as an excuse not to confirm or deny the appointments. With technology today, that is absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention , I had to keep calling them, I never received a call. My husband bought me a gift certificate for a couples massage as a Christmas present. I scheduled the massage on a Sunday at 10:45am. My husband and I had been out of town and got in late the Saturday before and had forgotten about the appointment. I received a phone call Sunday morning 15 minutes into my appointment from L&N to let me know that my husband and I could rush up there and at least get the last part of our 90 minute couple massage, which would have probably only been 45 minutes left of the 90 minutes my husband had paid for. I asked if I could reschedule, but I was told that the cost for rescheduling was the same price as the massage. I explained that we had flew in late the night before and could they please work with moving the appointment to another day or time. I again was told that she had to pay her people and that there was nothing she would do. I have been a previous customer of this business and have bought numerous gift certificates for family members. I took a chance with them when they were in the old building on 925.
