"Peace of mind." -There is a money exchange (I didn't use it and don't know how it works), I didn't see a person there, just an ATM machine. Bad things about it: -It is a bit pricey, especially on the weekends. -The money exchange was closed today (Saturday). This lot is less than a block away from the Las Americas Outlets (San Ysidro Outlets), so if you don't want to pay, you can park at the outlets for 5-8hours for free. I've parked there before with no issues. I just don't know if the paid lot is worth the money for the peace of mind. Even though it is gated, people can still come in and out even if they don't have a vehicle parked there, all they have to do is get into your vehicle and paid the exit fee and there goes your vehicle. So there you go! Make your choice!

The $1 dollar amount exchanged with no commission is under the "BUY" in red sign [example $20.47=$1.00] converted into pesos [$SELL=?.??] is what YOU get depending amount giving, so do the math on how much needed when you get there. I told him I understood what the signs said, but I had specifically asked about overnight when I first arrived, otherwise I would've parked elsewhere. Reluctantly, he brought the price down to $90. I'm never parking here again. Attendants make up their own rules and rates as they go. Lack of professionalism and clearly just in it for the profit.

Around 12:09 PM, I was back in my car sending a few emails when I noticed something very suspicious. An older Hispanic/Mexican man, probably in his late 50s with a large belly, pulled up in an older 2000s Ford F-150 it looked like a two tone of red pickup truck with a canopy. It parked in front of a very nice white lifted Jeep. The Jeep park backwards with bumper facing the driving lane. I watched him walk around the Jeep, checking the bumper area and the front tire. He then opened the back of his truck, grabbed a small black device that looked similar to a phone-sized electronic device, and placed something underneath the Jeep near the driver-side front tire/bumper area. After placing it, he no longer had the device in his hand. From what I observed, it looked like he may have attached some kind of tracking device or GPS tracker to the Jeep. What made this even more suspicious is that he did not appear to be parking there to walk into Tijuana like most people do. He seemed to be specifically scouting the parking structure and targeting that vehicle. I considered reporting it to the security guard sitting in the booth near the entrance, but I was alone with my sick small dog, I'm a female, and honestly I felt unsafe speaking up at the time. The parking structure is fenced in with limited exits, and I did not want to risk being caged in the parking lot or block inside the lot by the security guy sitting in the booth and the old man in the truck if they were working together. It was the only white lifted Jeep park inside the parking lot that date and time. If the owner of that white Jeep later experienced theft or suspicious activity after 5/20/2026 leaving LAZ parking in San Ysidro this incident may be related. Please be careful parking here and stay aware of your surroundings. Please check your car for tracking devices before leaving this parking lot.

This time, we used LAZ Parking because it was a bit closer, and there were open spaces. November doesn't seem to be as crowded as June. However, we were charged $25. There was no one at the entrance. A credit card swipe opened the gate. To exit, the same credit card was swiped, and we left... into the traffic. LOL... Just be careful if you park here. The lighting isn't the best, and the ground isn't paved...

The folks are friendly and they will take you to and pick you up from either the CBX bridge or Otay Mesa crossing as part of the parking fees. It's just a minivan but they addressed what I needed fo a fair price. The English skills may not be great with some employees but I did take Spanish in high school (LOL). And, when you call them to get picked up to return to the lot, they ask for your ticket number so they have your car pulled up ready to go (after you pay). I only needed parking for a day but it looks like they get many more longer term customers that fly out of Tijuana.
