Here's a polished version you can use as a review:…read more Thank you so much to the owner, Ashley, Robbie, the Lead Sales Advisor, and Brian, the Auto Technician, for the tremendous help this afternoon! It truly felt like a miracle to get my car inspected the same day and secure the last appointment of the day. I was so anxious and worried after scraping the underside of my car, fearing it would end up being a very expensive repair. Everyone was kind, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process. I especially appreciate your generosity in securing part of my car with zip ties at no charge, even though I wanted to pay for the diagnostic. That level of honesty and customer care is hard to find these days. Thank you again for your outstanding service. I will definitely be recommending your shop to my friends and family!

I brought my car in on 01/22/2026 because multiple dashboard warning lights came on. I was told the…read moreproblem was a speed sensor and that a rodent had chewed the wiring. I was charged $159 for the diagnostic and another $159 for the repair, which I paid. Less than 24 hours later, the exact same warning lights came back on. I returned to the shop and was told again that a rodent had chewed the same wiring and that I would need to pay another $159 for the same repair. The idea that rodents conveniently chewed the exact same wire twice overnight is not believable. Rather than standing behind their work, the shop immediately tried to charge me again without offering any warranty, accountability, or proof that the issue was truly caused by rodents in the first place. This experience strongly suggests either an incomplete repair or a dishonest diagnosis. Being asked to repeatedly pay for the same "fix" is unacceptable. I would not trust this shop with repairs and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Kassandra was also very welcoming and thoughtful, she even recommended a small bakery nearby if I wanted a comfortable place to relax while waiting. As a woman, it can sometimes be difficult to find a mechanic you feel comfortable with and can trust not to take advantage of you. This was absolutely the best place to go,I felt respected, informed, and completely at ease throughout the whole process. Overall, an AMAZING experience. I truly appreciate the great customer service!

Are you going to warranty issues that arise to the switching to an oil that would void a mfg…read morewarranty? I bet not! Higher viscosity leads to higher pressures which lead to seals leaking and failing. I'm really surprised you haven't researched this. How about the leaking oil filter a day after install? Seems like a sure way to get more money outta a customer once their engine gets starved of oil. How about the sloppy work with oil left all over my car? Lack of care and integrity. How about the scratches from resting my tires on the paint of my car? Lazy and inconsiderate. Pulled from the article that copied and pasted "Engine Design Changes: Newer Toyota engines are designed with tighter tolerances and specific lubrication needs that necessitate these thinner oils, such as OW-16 or OW-8." Exactly my 2019 Lexus ux250 is a newer Toyota engine if you weren't aware , so why are changing it?

After much research, and many locals recommending 'Auto Servicio Johnny' to work on my 2004…read moreSuburban, I took my Suburban in for some serious work on a coolant problem. It also had a bad oil leak problem. I was happy to see so many Chevys being worked on in their work bays. This was October 2019. I picked it up 2 weeks later (Lifters/Camshaft/Oil Pan) and it seemed to run like a charm. After a week in Ensenada, the 'old' knock was back and I had to take it in for a 2nd time, argh! One week later it was ready for pickup and I drove it back to Los Angeles and I thought it was fixed. Alas, no knock anymore but the coolant is still leaking. I have spoken to Johnny on the phone and he has assured me that I have at least a 9-12mo month guarantee, so I am planning to head down next week to have them give it another go. It's a father-son business and they have a very well-run shop; and I do appreciate their care and attentiveness. I am just very nervous that I spent over $2k and they haven't been able to completely resolve my issues. I will come back to this review and write what happens on this next visit. It'll either go from 4 stars to 5 stars- depending on results... Fingers-crossed! Update: Early March 2020. We finally found the time to return to AutoServicio Johnny's. Johnny & his guys took another deep look again under the hood. It seems that my coolant problem will never be fixed unless I replace the engine. Bummer, but livable; I just have to be vigilant with watching the coolant levels every few gas fill-ups. The knocking noise still happens occasionally (not consistent), but they did look to see if they could locate why. It still comes and goes. If it gets worse I will take it down to them again, because at the moment it is infrequent. I do have 193k miles on this Suburban but it really does serve as our workhorse and I would like to keep it going! While checking out the old coolant issues/engine knock again, I also had them replace the fuel pump, headlight bulb, and a ticking noise coming from the dashboard (A/C actuator). They fixed all those issues easily and at a good rate. I do like their customer service, and they have stood behind their work each time I show up at their doorstep. I've never felt they were dismissive -of me or my persistent questions. Hope to try their work in the future on our other vehicles. As long as their pricing remains competitive, and they stay as supportive as they have been in the past, I will return!
