Bakasyunan Resort is located about an hour from Manila. We hired a driver to take us out here so…read morewe could relax & enjoy the day w/the family. There is a nice pool that over looks the valley below & the ocean beyond. They have a variety of amenities like horseback riding. My brother in laws granddaughter kept telling me that she wanted to go horseback riding her sister also wanted to go horseback riding so I bought 3 rides. The problem, there was only one horse, so I needed to wait while the 3 rides were completed. They also have ATV's that you can rent and an assortment of other activities they can be purchased ala cart. It's not the most exciting place I have been to & is definitely catered to families w/kids The nice thing is it's inexpensive & only about 1 hour from Manila. My wife's 3 kids loved it. They have a restaurant that is a nightmare in itself & really spoiled our day. The service at the restaurant that's a different beast altogether. We had 9 people dining in & the service sucks (-1 star). 9 people dining in w/more then a 1hr & 20 minute wait for our food. We had 6 adults & 3 kids in our group. They gave us 2 plates and 2 silverware settings for 9 people. Are you kidding me. No Napkins & 2 dishes after 1 hour & 20 minutes. There was NO WAITRESS so I got my drinks from the bar. The head bartender told me he's leaving because of the lack of service. I ordered a Long Island ice tea & tipped him handsomely. Each subsequent drink was stronger then the one before. He made me some kickass drinks (5 Stars). The drinks made the waiting a little more palatable, but 1 hr & 2 minutes to get our food was inexcusable. My brother in law and everyone at our table was raging at the staff for the lousy service. Eventually a manager then the General Manager came. We were able to get 50% off of our meal & an additional 20% off w/a senior discount for anyone over 60 years old that's a Filipino resident (my brother in law). Bakasyunan Resort is someplace you would go to if you have kids kind on like the Dells in WI, but not somewhere here I would want to go to again.

Since we got nowhere w/trying to call or get information on line we decided to take a trip there and check it out. V Cloud 9 is located within the Manila metro area and only 7.9 miles from my brother in laws house so we decided to take a GRAB (Uber like service only better) to Cloud9 today to possibly check in and maybe get away for awhile. When we arrived at Cloud9 and went to the check in desk we mentioned the inability to get through on the phone line because NO ONE ANSWERED the phone or lack of response we received a rather snotty response from the girl at the front desk. We still decided to check out a room since we were there already. The room was nice, but my brother in law suggested checking out the grounds first. This was an smart idea because many of the amenities can be accessed wo/paying for an overnight stay. We walked through the outdoor dining area to a deck that gave us a panoramic view of metro Manila, unfortunately the air over Manila had a thin layer of air pollution that didn't allow for a clear view of the city & surrounding areas. We realized that we could access the small museum & hanging bridge to gain access to the 360 degree view from the tower above the resort for 7 pesos/person a whopping 55 cents for 4 people. The museum was very small and had a few artifacts of finds on the Philippine island from different cultures over a period of time. Some of the artifacts were a Chinese funerary figure from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) & some bronze ceremonial daggers from Indonesia-Javanese Sri Vijaya Period (660-1377 AD). There were other artifacts as well, but we were anxious to get to the hanging bridge outside. We kind of breezed through the museum anxious to go up the hanging bridge. The hanging bridge was pretty cool. Its a steel cable bridge that goes from the entry level just outside of the museum & up over the open air to the 360 degree observatory at the top. The climb up the bridge was a cool, but a little nerve racking as it swayed in the breeze. The view from the top had a slightly higher vista then the outdoor deck outside of the restaurant & a better unobstructed 360 degree panoramic view. Other then the items mentioned the only other attraction was a remote swimming pool which we chose not to go to after reading negative reviews. Our group assessment is you can see most of what Cloud 9 has to offer wo/paying for an overnight stay. It was an enjoyable pace to spend a few hours.

Place was easy to find on Waze or Uber to drop off for out of towners. This place is basically a home and converted to space to rent. The owners or staff stayed above in their home and as well on the downstairs room with their fans on. This was rented only for the space and pool was not included. Every little thing you had to pay them even the electricity. My uncle had to get a fan for us from home but in order to use the outlets, we had to pay additional?! Good thing the caters were more accommodating and were not part of this place. The tent they provided had no screen to cover from bugs, rain, no AC, no fans provided. Nothing! For the amount they paid, they could have accommodated us. The staff were of no help. The space was rented from 9a -9p but no one could stay long due to the humidity; never sweated this much!! Haha ...Good thing the sun was hiding a little that day and it was not raining. Good thing I brought one paper fan to give me some little wind! Make sure to bring one. I would not recommend this rental space for any party or gathering. Unless you have cough up money to add for every little accommodations you want. This place was not worth it!! [131/100]

Didn't know what to expect but for the price, I expected professionalism, at least. The not so friendly staff made us feel like we r not welcome there, without a single smile or hello. Getting there, my caterer had already setup so that was a plus, but they are not affiliated with the place. The pool, well let's not talk about it. Was not even worth using. But you would think that at least they would have fans in this place. NOOOOOOOO! Thank God the sun was a bit shy that day, but it was still hot and humid. No AC no fans! The caretakers were inside a room with their fan blasting as we could see their curtains swaying. When we asked about at least having one fan, they said there was none. So my cousin had to walk to his house around the corner and get a fan so we could at least be comfortable. P7,000.00 for this place is too much for what you get...which is just a place. No tables and chairs. No comfortable accommodations. No nothing. If you want a festive environment and a wonderful event, this is not the place for you. You are better off finding another venue. As my baby would say...two thumbs down!

AS IN! Sobrang sulit yung bayad mo mars! For as low as P550, pwede ka nang makaidlip. The room(s) we booked had about 2-3 phones in each room and most of the time, we weren't sure which phone was working! Yes, a good amount of outlets, but a majority of them were either not working or really loose. It's interesting that they don't already include a flat sheet when your bed is made. You have to request it. The AYCE breakfast was great but I honestly got tired of it lol They have a good selection and some days, the items do change. I do like their noodle station, taho station, champorado and pan de sal (although not the hot and fresh one you can get in a panaderia. I do like their location. Short walk to Ayala, Landmark, and Trinoma. A quick Grab ride to SM North, too. I didn't utilize their gym or pool area, but i did get a foot massage which was the best decision of my life after the amount of walking I've done during this trip. Thankfully, no bugs were found in any of our rooms. They do have a fridge but it's more like a cooler. So don't expect to chill anything for a long time. No microwave. I don't like how the side tables and counter space looks like there are many, many drawers, because you can't even open them! It's just for, I guess, "style." Staff's friendly. Very helpful and patience. Would I book here again? Maybe.

It is right across from Ayala Vertis Mall and a short jaunt away from the SM North and Trinoma malls. There's a restaurant on the 1st floor where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as a rooftop bar. The rooms are quite nice, in my opinion better than the one we stayed at in Seda BGC. Probably because this hotel is newer. Plenty of outlets to charge devices, comfortable bedding, and a great bathroom/shower. There's a pool on one of the rooftops that is nice but is in the shadow of a skyscraper that they're building next door, so there's not much of a view. It was still fairly cold out when we stayed there so we only used the pool briefly but I imagine it's fine during the summer months. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the size of the gym. Considering that it's a fairly small hotel they have a ton of cardio machines, weight machines, and even heavy weights. They also have a corner studio for yoga and such. Everything was clean and well maintained. All the staff of course was extremely friendly and accommodating! Definitely a great place to stay if you're looking for a hotel in Quezon City. Honestly as of right now it's probably the best hotel in the area.
