K2 Studio did not stand behind the products they sold to me. I bought a 4 piece bedroom set from K2…read moreStudio in 2019. All four pieces were built improperly with alignment issues. At first, Kim sounded like she was going to help. She acknowledged that there were issues from this particular manufacturer, and that the brand was switching to a different manufacturer in 2020 due to them. We talked about the possibility of getting a replacement from the new manufacturer, but that it would take time to get the product going with the new assembly line. Eventually she offered a partial refund instead. I wanted to get an estimate for repairing the furniture so that I could assess whether the refund was a fair offer. Kim offered to send a repairman to my house to do an estimate. Up until this point, Kim seemed like a trustworthy person so I accepted this proposal. The repairman she sent wrote a report saying that there was nothing wrong with the furniture. He claimed that the gaps were at or under 1/16", but he took no measurements. There are 16 places with gaps larger than 1/16", and they are as large as 3/8". I used a depth gauge to take these measurements, and I offered to send video evidence to Kim showing the depth gauge measurements so that she could see that I was using the tool correctly. You can see the issues I'm describing in the attached photos. I spoke to another furniture manufacturer to ask what industry standards for wood manufacturing tolerances were, and I was told that they were 30/1000" for moving parts, and 10/1000" for non-moving parts. Thus, even 1/16" is outside of spec. Kim also tried to claim that humidity explains the gaps, but the manufacturer I spoke with said that furniture shouldn't have gaps this severe from humidity. I own other wooden furniture in the same house (same humidity conditions) and it does not have these issues. Kim later forwarded me an e-mail from her repairman to her where he admitted that he hadn't taken any measurements. Despite his admission, and despite the evidence I submitted to her, she declined to do anything about our furniture. She also used the repairman's report to close a credit card claim that my wife and I had opened since Kim was taking too long to solve our issue. I recommend staying away from this merchant. The styles are beautiful and enticing, and you might be lucky enough to get furniture that isn't damaged. However, if you get furniture that doesn't meet industry quality standards you may have an experience like I did. It's not worth the risk - there are plenty of stores around North Carolina that offer similar styles but that support their customers. If you like a piece in their showroom, I recommend finding another merchant that sells that piece.

Working with Erin, we were able to define custom-made items which were then imported to us within the usual timeframe of any store, but were so far beyond the level of the typical furniture we expected to buy. Our sofas are an exquisite blue-gray leather, which have truly transformed an already attractive living area. The new king-size bed is so stylish with large padded headboard, and so comfortable with custom-fitted, natural latex padding, that we simply can't decide whether we like lying in it or looking at it more! From beginning to end of our shopping experience, Erin made every aspect wonderful for us; it is hardly surprising that she is an award-winning designer with an amazing list of achievements. She's really special. If you are in the market for any furnishings, you owe it to yourself to pay Mobilia a visit and see what they have to offer.

I feel like I got judged and discriminated against today by the owner Mark. First time I met him was today. I inquired about tarped wood sitting in the parking lot. Rather than helping me, he seemed more interested in removing wood that he wanted to plane and sell and I was a distraction to his newly found treasure. As we were walking to go back in the store, he basically dismissed me. "Okay, thanks for stopping by." He literally stood in front of the door. I said, "I am sorry, did you assume I was not going to purchase the wood we looked at or look at anything else?" This was very insulting... He said, "that wood is very expensive. This comment alone told me that he judged me as someone who couldn't afford what I was looking at. Bad news for you is that I can afford it and your discrimination doesn't deserve a penny from me. Owner (Mark) don't bother responding. A response from you will never convince me that you don't discriminate. BTW: This place is way overpriced! Some of the stuff looks like garbage picked up off the side of the road.

They present themselves as a full service packing, organizing and moving company.  We had a written agreement,  I paid in full. They packed very haphazardly. Items were broken or damaged while being unpacked. Furniture was broken and/or not assembled properly. They did not complete the unpacking in the first day, as promised, and never returned to complete the job. When presented with a list of the damages, they promised to resolve the issues, and never did.  Damaged items that were removed from my house to be repaired or replace have never been returned. Save yourself time, energy and money. They are not to be trusted.

We do not live in the metropolitan area so really had to rely on them to make sure the deliveries got to the storage unit, and to move all the items to the property and set it up. There were times when we had emergencies when deliveries would show up but the storage unit was unavailable. Robert was kind enough to show up at a moments notice to solve issues for us. We are happy with how it all turned up and are very glad we used Simply Change.

We have often…read moregone to many of their sales, but today there was a total disregard for social distancing or mask wearing inside a small house. The coordinators gave a speech before opening about each person having their own responsibility to wear their mask and that they were not "the mask police" and would not tell them that folks had to wear one.They also preached to just be kind to one another. Nice! However the house was so tight and everyone was let in at once with no spacing at all and because I care about my health and life,..I left. When I told the coordinators that I thought that they were being irresponsible and unsafe by not requiring masks and by not spacing out the house, they YELLED at me to just leave. Nice.
