U TOUCH U BUY + RACIST This shop has "You touch it and you purchase it!" policy on their fresh fruit. My 3 yr old toddler was curious to touch and pick up two fruits lightly and she demanded us must buy it with very angry attitude and words. I stepped aside had talk with my toddler. Out of respect to the shop, we paid it along with other two pickle items we originally picked up and wanted to try, but we won't come back with their poor attitude and communication. Like another review mentioned, they completely ignored Asian customer like me who even walked by the employee and there were no other customers in the store. Until few mins later my white husband walked in with kids, I got a hi. This place might look sweet from outside, but people work inside are nasty and grumpy. read more

At first I drove right by Estes on SR 2 but turned the car around after I saw the lovely flowers. The fruit stand is really a mini farmer's market that is open seasonally from May 1st through Oct 30 and is family owned and operated. Lady Bug Flowers provides all the hanging petunia baskets that adorns their property. The store has all kinds of wonderful selections of apples (of course, Wenatchee), fruits, veggies, gourmet jars of jams/jellies/salsas/pickles, hand made soap that smells like Apple Pie, candies, cookies, snacks. The prices are fair and I purchased one bar of locally made Apple Pie soap and one Transparent Apple (a type of cooking apple), total for both $6.00. The owner was friendly and attentive and their dog, an Aussie Shepherd? followed me around to my car, equally friendly and very cute. If I had more room and space in my luggage I would have bought a lot of other things at this store. It's a lush oasis of flowers and fruit in an otherwise very arid and dry environment. read more

Friends have a lake house in Orondo and have always raved about the Estes Fruit Stand. I left Orondo early Sunday morning but was delighted to see the stand was open. The man at the counter was friendly and answered my questions about buying peaches for canning, evening telling me the most inexpensive way to buy them! After buying a box of assorted fruit (the Van cherries were new to me and so yummy!) and storing it in my car I came back in with more questions about peaches. The woman I spoke to was an experienced canner and was able to tell me just how many I'd need and which varieties would be the tastiest. I appreciated that they were willing to spend time talking with me. I'll be a return customer for sure! read more

DH and I visit the Winthrop/Twisp area almost every year and as a result, coming home I like to take 97 so I can visit Estes Fruit Stand! Those gorgeous Flower Baskets caught my eye at first and the counter people are always friendly and helpful. It had been a few years since we were up this way but we decided to try because I knew it was getting close to pie cherry season. This stand is the only one I know of that has pie cherries. So yesterday, I learned they are not quite ready but they sell frozen ones that are already pitted and sugared!!!! Saved me hours of work, that and a great selection of fruits and flowers baskets made my day! read more

Cute little fruit stand off the side of the road just outside of Wenatchee. Randomly stopped in after realizing our normal spot was closed. Very friendly people. Beautiful flower baskets outside and a decent amount of different fruits. One of the guys let us try what's known as a plumcot (plum and apricot) it was so good, we bought a bag full!! I'm completely obsessed now! One thing I really liked is the variety of sauces. I'm such a sucker for finding new seasonings, dressing, sauces and marinades. They had a good variety of their own blend. I bought one and can't wait to use it! Great little place. read more

It's farther away than several stands that are available to us but I prefer Estes because of the way they box their fruit. We often pick up fruit for family on the west side and today is no exception. Boxes of mixed fruit including peaches, plums, cherries, nectarines and donut peaches come preloaded and sold by the pound. A box of mixed fruit runs around fifteen pounds or so... Friendly staff, family owned and the drive along the river is always nice. (except when it's burning like it was earlier this year) read more

My wife and I went on a ride with our son Aaron while staying at a motel in Leavenworth to one of his favorite fruit & flower stands in East Wenatchee, WA. Estes Fruit Stand was the name and since it was late May it was showing and selling some of the most beautiful flower baskets my wife and I have ever seen! Our son Aaron bought his mother a very large and beautiful hanging basket with light and dark shaded purple colored Petunias. What a pleasant surprise for his mother and it made us both happy! If you ever come by East Wenatchee you should come to Estes Fruit Stand and walk into their different green houses. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with this store. Wanted to support a local business especially after this last year with the pandemic. Decided to spend the big $ on two of their bigger hanging baskets ( $100 each ). Within 10 days both of them died. When I spoke with the owner she seemed willing to help but once I asked for an exchange she was rudely abrupt and only willing to replace one of the baskets with a smaller one at the fraction of what I originally paid. She told me they were fine when they left and it was my fault not. I would tend to agree with that if it wasn't for the fact that within 10 days they were both dead. I told her I watered them once a day and had been taking care of plants for years and had never experienced this. This could have been handled with more compassion and understanding ( they have two commercial size green houses full of hanging pots). Won't ever be giving them my business again or a referral. read more

My husband and I stopped by on the way home from E. WA and picked up some cherries. There are a lot of fruit stands in the area, but this one stood out with all those big flowers out front. Anyway, we got a bunch of Rainier Cherries - so good! The more you get, the cheaper they are. We only got two pounds, but ate most of it while driving. Friendly worker. Cute little place! read more

I am kicking back with the best Bloody Mary right now because it contains these amazing asparagus pickles that i found at this Fruit Stand. I also found some perfect summer squash and zuchinni and the largest seeded watermelon I have seen in Washington. My Mother says that the flavor is in the seeds so she hates the seedless ones and she lives in Forks out on the coast so I grabbed the watermelon to take to her this weekend. This is Their FIRST year as NEW owners.. beware.....dont get burned. I have done business with this fruit stand for many years. I made the trip over to get peaches every year. This year, I called ahead as normal, and placed my order for Elberta peaches, in the 1ts quality (meaning no bruising, or spots. that they are perfect.). I was told by Victor's wife that the Elberta Peaches were ready and that she would have them in the cooler for me to pick up. I drove over to find that they had not been picked yet, they were in fact not ready to be picked. At first Victor the Owner, wanted to sell me another variety of peach, since the ones i ordered were not yet ripe. He told me to take two boxes of the Gold Haven to see how I liked them, and that they were FREE of charge due being misinformed by his wife. Victor, said he would work with me. When they were finally ready to be picked He drove them over to my house just north of Seattle. At first I was pleased with what I was receiving. ( I had ordered 14 boxes, so I was not able to inspect each individual peach) I paid vicotor for the 14 boxes of peaches PLUS the other two that were suppose to be free, when I asked about that, he said NO, they were not free. I would not have taken them then in the beginning. I talked with Victor after I started to can, letting him know I was losing a great amount to either excessive bruising or mold. He said he would replace them or give me a credit for what I had lost. He said he felt bad, and wanted to make this right, wanted to keep my business. I said he could replace them, and that I actually had plans to be back over that side of the mountains. So i went and picked up the one box that he was replacing and I bought another box as the peaches again looked great, I was able to be more hands on this time around. They were cool to the touch but looked great, and I chalked it up to being the cooler. There did not appear to be any bruises, and they were tender. I left feeling that Victor had done what was right, and he was eager to keep me as a customer. I arrived home and two days later went to can the two boxes...i was only able to barely get 12 jars canned out of those two boxes. The peaches had been frozen, and would not peal...I had more than a few that were stil frozen inside, after sitting in hot water too...Not Happy!!!! so again, I have loss peaches, time, and not to mention the expense of caning . I will not be returning to his fruit stand next year for peaches... This is his FIRST year running the place.. he bought it ad informed me that he actually has no experience running a fruit stand, that he was in the corporate world before purchasing this stand. His Uncle is the one that works in the orchard and has for the past 20 + years.. You would think he would know Peaches... I am so frustrated with this experience, I do not recommend doing business with them. There are plenty of other great orchards in that area. I only returned and gave them a chance, and a second chance as I had been going to this fruit stand for at least the past 5 years and always walked away a happy customer... I definitely, will be going to another one next year..... Do not Waster your time stopping!!!!! Bad Business read more
