Peace, and joy! What a wonderful surprise! I have been traveling around Colorado for two weeks and landed yesterday in Estes Park. Today was a down day with a bit of chilly weather expected so I decided to explore local massage options. Most had no availability, but Estes Park Massage was able to fit me in on short notice. I signed up for an hour, but after the first 15 minutes I was so pleased with the experience that I asked my masseuse, Richelle, if there was anyway to expand our time to 90 minutes. Again, without hesitation, my wish was granted. Richelle was strong yet gentle, and mostly I loved how active she was for the entire 90 minutes. Richelle was fully engaged and able to listen to my responses and adjust as needed. She paid specific attention to my health issues, and focused on the areas that I had asked for. My spouse, who is a nurse manager, had an emergency come up at work. We reached out to see what our options were as we were going to be unable to make it. We were told that if they did not fill the spot we would be charged full price but that they would reach out to us and let us know. Why would they try to fill the spot if they were going to be paid no matter what? Of course they weren't. They now got an hour paid with no work. On a girls trip in Estes we stopped in for massages. While massages were great, it was what happened after that has led to us leaving a 2 star review. That night after service hours (8:15 pm), we received 2 calls from the business' linked phone number, followed by a request to share our location. Being 4 girls staying from out of town, this was obviously very scary. I had the most fantastic massage. Estes Park Massage is tucked away in a strip mall and has a very cozy and eclectic interior. My friend and I scheduled 60 min sessions (Swedish and Deep Tissue) and they were super helpful on the phone in finding a time that accommodated both of us on short notice when the online scheduling wasn't showing availability. My 60 min Swedish massage with Margo was one of the best massages I've ever gotten! She was thorough and patient and paid the perfect amount of attention to areas I'd identified as problem spots. Draping was professional and comfortable and the heated massage table was the perfect temp. I was also amazed at how long the hour felt--the massage was so comprehensive I kept feeling like it must be over, only for Margo to keep going! As I write this review, I'm lounging out in the lobby and my husband is still getting his massage. But just had to say that mine was fantastic. I never had a massage before, and I was a little nervous because im quite ticklish. But tickling was absolutely minimal. Sam (who is super friendly by the way) massaged muscles with names I didn't know and released tension in places I never even noticed I had any lol. He explained why some areas might be a little more tense than others and it all checked out. I wont actually do it, but now I know that going to gym would probably be a great way to help some of the muscles overcompensating for others. I would recommend Estes Park Massage to anyone in the area, it's a great change of pace after spending the day exploring the surrounding area. The atmosphere was awesome, customer service amazing. The massage however.. not so much. This was my first ever massage; I had no clue what to ask for, or whether or not it was supposed to hurt (I've heard sometimes it hurts then feels good later). I booked a Swedish massage and I specified on the form I filled out when I arrived that my "primary goal" was to feel relaxed. It hurt a lot during the massage, and I was so sore after the massage, I actually had a hard time sleeping last night. My shoulders/neck/back are still super tender to the touch today as well. Upon discussing with my sister (who has gotten 100+ massages), I realized I should have specified before starting that I wanted a "soft and relaxing massage with light pressure." I don't really write reviews, but $150 (incl. tip) is a lot for a "massage" that left me so sore I might need to pay for another one somewhere else to ease the pain. Again--partially my fault for being new to this, but even then, I don't think it's supposed to be THIS sore. read more

Loved getting a massage here! The massage therapists were wonderful and kind. Great for small conversations and quiet relaxation. My fiancé and I got the couples massage. With the hot stones, the therapist was able to get knots out of my back that I originally didn't even know were there until the massage was in motion. Edit: when we got back to our hotel my fiancé expressed some concern for his massage. He said only his shoulders and neck were focused on, and he found it strange that the massage therapist held his hand by entwining their fingers. Since this was our first massage like this he wasn't sure if a masseuse holding hands like that was normal. He did express that he did not like it though. read more

Everyone here gives a great massage. The atmosphere is so calming and the people are very accommodating. I go with here with a friend for our birthdays every year and in between every chance we get. This go around I had a great Swedish massage from Courtney, who I will request the next time I go for sure. I have also had massages with Becky, Nicole and Autumn. I don't understand how this business can have 4.5 stars! The one good thing they have going for them is being able to accommodate clients on short notice. However, I put on my intake sheet that I wanted hot stones to be used in my massage on two separate occasions and they never appeared. The massages themselves were not great, either - the first time that I came here, the therapist couldn't warm up her hands so it was like being massaged with an ice cube the whole time! And she spent way too much time digging in around my neck, I had to ask for her to back off! The second massage that I had was with a lady who had really, really dry hands. It felt like being massaged with sand paper. Two sub par experiences is enough for me - we won't be coming back. read more
