I was a solo traveler for this trip to Colorado to reset, refresh and relax. I am an athlete and do a lot of sports rehab for my body especially since I am almost 50 years old (ha!). I researched and read through local reviews and ended up booking a custom tailored 90 minute massage. Kim was so kind and worked me into their schedule on short notice (don't recommend but highly appreciated). Tobias, my massage therapist was very experienced and was able to remove all my muscular pain in my shoulders, shoulder blades, head a neck. His technique was effective, yet gentle enough to also relax. The rooms were very clean and organized, following strict COVID safety protocols for their studios but they do not require you to wear a mask (the therapist does). Exceeded all my expectations! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a massage! Pro tips: book as early as possible. Arrive clean and showered for the massage. I haven't had many massages before, so I wasn't able to give Michaela much guidance as to what I was looking for. She was great about trying a few different techniques and pressures and checking in with me frequently to make sure I was happy with how it was going. After hiking and climbing I was really looking forward to a relaxing massage while my husband and son were enjoying a crazy day on their ATV. I am not used to such a bright room while getting a massage but I did appreciate the sound of the river running behind me. Unfortunately, that included people walking through the parking lot or part the window and yelling. There is nothing more jarring than being halfway in consciousness with the sounds of soothing water and Muzak a m the background when all of a sudden somebody yells from the parking lot(which seems right next to you). Also, I have had many massages. I have never ended a massage with what seemed like 5 minutes of pressing on the pressure points under my head. Although it may serve a purpose it isn't pleasurable. My wife and I visited Affinity at the end of our week long hiking trip in RMNP this week. We booked a couples massage room and had Michaela and Wendy as our therapists. Since we were treating ourselves, we went for the 90 minute sessions. The facility was small, quaint, and relaxing. I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to pressure so I went for the relaxing swedish massage. For me, a sign of a great massage is when the time flies. Wendy did a great job for me as the 90 minutes flew felt like 30. My wife likes the deeper tissue massages to work out the knots and kinks. She said a few times she felt like jumping off of the table but she knew she needed it. She was super happy Michaela was able to work out the stresses of the past week. I had an incredible experience at this place. It is right on the river so the sound of the running water lulls you well you're getting a massage of a lifetime. I had Wendy who was excellent. She did some shiatsu thing to my feet that I have never had done before and I can't explain the resulting peace and relaxation. I may come back to Estes Park just to get another massage. Okay, first off - this is specifically a review for their prenatal massage. This is the third one I've had this pregnancy and I have mixed feelings about it. The negative: 1. Both other spas that I went to had types of maternal pillows to allow you to lay on your stomach for about half the massage and then your back (with other pillows to elevate your head) for the other half. Affinity had no such pillow to allow for stomach laying and so for 2/3 of the massage I was laying on my right and then left side. This is very uncomfortable as my "problem spots" this pregnancy are my hips. To add to the discomfort the beds weren't as padded as many I've experienced. The massage therapist did the best job she could of giving me pillows to make it as comfortable as possible, but starting off and being in an uncomfortable position for 2/3 off the massage doesn't really make for the most relaxing experience. Affinity, PLEASE get a maternity pillow, laying on your sides for an hour during a prenatal massage is NOT relaxing, especially if that position is already causing the client pain. I'm having trouble sleeping and was really looking forward to being able to lie on my stomach like the other prenatal massages I've had at 2 different spas. If I had known this prior to entering the room, I would NOT have paid for an 80 minute massage. 2. The light was a little too bright in the room next to my table (my husband wasn't right next to it so it wasn't a problem for him). The positive: 1. All of the staff was awesome and kind. The massage therapists did a great job. My masseuse did a great job working on my hips, but her good work could have been awesome if she had more leverage (while lying on your side and having your back worked on, you move back and forth quite a bit). 2. Private parking lot is nice on the main street in Estes. Side note: The couples massage room is not next to creek, just FYI. The layout is small and compact. You walk in to the waiting area where they have water and chocolate should you wish. There's a hallway off of the waiting area and on the left are single person massage rooms (with windows by the creek). At the back right of the hall is the couples room. read more

There was some kind of mixup and they only had one masseuse but they quickly called in another one and when I asked for a discount for the wait, they gave us $20 off our total. The massage itself was ok. I had Kathy and she started out by using cream, but when I asked for oil, she switched and it was much better. They keep the lights on during most of the massage which made me self conscious because my husband's masseuse was a male. Hubby says the male masseuse was good. Neither of our masseuses asked us how much pressure we would like in the beginning- usually in other places they ask.
