They appear to prioritize money over patient care. To start, I have been to quite a few naturopathic/integrative medicine doctors and I've never been somewhere that charges around $400 for the first consultation. And then another $200-300 for a lab review/treatment plan. If you plan to go to ethos, prepare to invest at least $700 just to get a treatment plan and then likely another $200-300 for labs. Outside of that, here is my experience. I chose to swallow the expensiveness of their services in hopes they were worth the investment, but I was wrong. They don't consult the patient on much. After my first visit, I was sent a test kit without ever being consulted on it nor given any information until I reached out to them when I received the kit in the mail. Thankfully I wouldn't have been charged for the kit until I completed it, but had I and it would have been $300 to complete (it was a SIBO breath test which I have done these before and they were around $150, so this is double the price!). Even more concerning was that it wasn't the ND I saw that sent it! It was another doctor in the office who they had me meet for 5 seconds for "the future" to address potential GI needs. In addition, they will charge you $100 if you don't cancel your appointment within 48 hours. Now, I do understand this; however, it's something to be aware of again, when talking about the fact they seem to prioritize money. Another thing I found concerning was within a few minutes of me checking in during my first appointment, I was already being talked to about their aesthetic services.... It just felt like the den of the lotus eaters where they were trying every which way to provide a service for me to pay for. Lastly, my MAIN disappointment with them is that I paid for and completed a $200 cortisol test. Then, during my treatment visit, I was told they are having issues with the vendor giving them results. It has been well over a month and I still don't have those results. A great deal of my treatment plan, as was told to me by the ND I saw, is contingent on getting that lab back.... Yet, here I am $1000+ in and really have nothing to show for it. The office has not been transparent nor proactive in handling this. This has led me to go back to my previous doctor who has already gotten me on a treatment plan that actually has nothing to do with cortisol, but that my thyroid isn't working which was reflected on the labs at the time I was with Ethos. So yes, I paid them A LOT of money to be given some iron and b vitamins. Save your money and take your business elsewhere. Most naturopaths I have been to have cost me $100-200 for a visit. That's an average and reasonable price. read more

I had a horrible experience with Ethos Integrative Medicine and especially with Dr. Alexandra Mayer. She was so rude, condescending, and arrogant during our phone consultation today. The only thing she cared about was trying to convince me to sign up for her membership program for over $200 a month after I pay over $600 to come in for an initial visit. When I was asking what all the membership included, she said that her prices are subject to change and that I should go ahead and buy the membership today (give her my credit card over the phone) or risk losing out on a deal. She acted like a sleazy used car salesperson. It was honestly gross and a major turn off. I will be taking my healthcare to a more professional and experienced Doctor. read more

Dr. Alex is unbelievable! I have had issues with my thyroid for over 10 years. I have always been told by regular physicians that my levels were "normal". So why did I feel so sluggish? Why was I so groggy? Why didn't I FEEL normal? I got my personal training certification 2 weeks ago. I am in the gym 6 days a week. I eat clean. Why am I having issues dropping the stomach weight? I went to Dr. Alex and she ran several thyroid tests along with an food allergy panel. Come to find out, I have 23 food allergies. Wow. Not only am I allergic to gluten and dairy... I had heard great things about Ethos for a long while from trusted friends and family. When I finally needed healthcare for a low back injury I was encouraged to visit Ethos. I live in Tucson so it's not really conveniently located, but it was well-worth the trip. The pain I was experiencing was immense; not just my normal aches and pains (which are also gone after treatment). I was unable to walk, sit, stand, move without pain and spasms. I was highly skeptical of the long road trip to see someone based on any recommendations. I want to start by saying that I hate going to doctors and the entire traditional medical process. Most of you will identify with this horrible process after reading it. It starts with you getting sick or pain that drives you to want to see a doctor in the first place. Not a good experience already! You call to make an appointment in which you first encounter a rude receptionist. Then you finally make it in to your scheduled appointment and actually get to meet your rude receptionist face to face. Without even a greeting she barks orders that go something like..."fill out this, give me that and take a seat until the doctor can get to you." Get to me? Umm hello? I think I made an appointment for this specific time. I'm busy too! This system only works because your sick and desperate for help. It could never work in retail or any other form because you know people would return that shit in a heart beat!! After waiting for hours to be seen by your money hungry physician that clearly overbooked himself, he rapidly and condescendingly delivers some hypothetical diagnosis, and prescribes some drugs that are sure to just cover up your real issue. You have just left the doctor upset, confused and vow never to go back unless you're dying. At least that's what I have said...until I met Dr. Alex. I visited Dr. Alex for an all natural proactive treatment to help improve my thinning hairline. Upon arrival for my 10am appointment I was immediately greeted and taken back to meet with her. She made me comfortable and talked to me like a human being. Best of all she made the time to answer every single one of my questions/concerns before starting the treatment.
